Week 2: The adjustment Hello dear growers and groweresses, it’s time for an update on my grow. My plants have completed the second week and have continued to grow. But they also faced some challenges that I will tell you about. The adjustment My plants have adapted to the new conditions in my room this week. I realized that I had my lamps too close to the plants and that they got too much light and heat. This resulted in them not developing as well as I had hoped. I therefore hung my lamps higher and reduced the intensity of the light. I lowered the PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) from 400 to 280, to give the plants a more comfortable environment. The PPFD is a measure of the amount of light that the plants receive per square meter and second. The higher the PPFD, the more light the plants get, but also the more nutrients and water they need. The plants accepted the change very well and recovered quickly. They started to grow stronger again and formed more leaves. They also got a nicer color and look healthier. One plant that suffered a lot was the Frosty Nightmare. She was overwatered and had trouble developing. She was smaller and weaker than the others and had yellow tips on the leaves. I therefore gave her less water and moved her away from the other plants, to give her more space and air. She recovered and grew again. She is still the smallest of all, but she has potential. I also increased the temperature in my room by 1 degree, to give the plants more heat. I set the temperature from 22 to 23 degrees Celsius, which is still in the optimal range for the plants. The plants liked that and showed me that by their growth. I let them vote democratically, by observing the plants and interpreting their reactions. :D The water filter I also want to introduce you to my water filter from Watertrim, which I use for my grow. It is a great product that saves me a lot of time and money and is also better for the environment. The water filter has only two connections: an inlet and an outlet. So it has no waste water, which would otherwise go into the drain. It has different options of the filter, depending on how much water you want to filter and how high the EC value of the tap water is. The EC value is a measure of the electrical conductivity of the water, which depends on the dissolved minerals. The higher the EC value, the more minerals are in the water, which are not always good for the plants. My filter filters at an inlet EC of 1.0 1000 liters, before it needs to be renewed. Since my tap water has an EC of 0.5, I can filter 2000 liters with it, until I have to renew it. That costs about 100 euros and works easily and quickly via the post. The flow is almost 1 to 1 in speed, so no more waiting. I can tap the water directly from the filter and use it for my grow. I use the filter as follows: I tap water at the filter. I pour normal tap water on it, until I have an EC of 0.3. I add fertilizers etc., depending on what the plants need. I check the EC again and adjust it if necessary. I also adjust the pH value, which should be between 6.2 and 6.5, to ensure optimal nutrient uptake. I give the water to my plants. The water filter is really a great product, even if it is not very cheap in the purchase with once of 240 - 390 euros. But it pays off in the long run, as it saves me a lot of work and costs and also improves the quality of my water. u can find it here : https://watertrim.de The outlook I am very satisfied with the result of the second week. My plants have adapted well and recovered from the problems. They have grown further and formed more leaves. They have recovered well and showed a great growth. I am very excited about the next week, where it goes to the repotting and the ladies can try fertilizer for the first time. I will fertilize this run only a little late, even if I use osmosis water this time. The soil from BioBizz is really great and can carry the first weeks well alone. crap.... despite the fact that she was growing quite slowly, I still managed to break her :( 21 days, I don't know if it's worth leaving what's left. She's auto and I'm sure she'll have a baby at the end of the week

So here comes the flowering, in a week after switching to 12-12. Plant looks healthy and good, gave it a bit of calimagic and bit of big bud early, also changed bulb from HPS white to Sodium Yellow for flowerig.

Day 28: On day 21 until day 24 i switched the light schedule to 7-1 and i did not give them water at all. On day 24 i topped the soil with dr jimz organic nuts along with watering with dr jimz soup for the soil mix. i put a trellis net up however i have not actually used it yet. Also on day 24 i changed the lights back to a 6-2 schedule. I am letting them kind of do there own thing trying not to bother them much unless needed and I am however having problems with one of the plants a pic of it up top. It is growing however its just clawing the whole time and i dont know what to do or how to fix it so any advice would help because i really dont want to toss it. All plants are showing signs of being well on their way....its weird that some of the Gelat OG have grown so much larger than others despite the exact media and feeding regiment .. We noticed a few deficiency spots (pretty sure calcium) starting on the one plant which is furthest along in flower, we gave all plants 3ml/gal of calmag with the last watering and set our PH to 6., i think the plants are eating better after adjusting PH at least their color reflects it (the light and my camera really wash the color out in some photos) but they're still not as dark as I'd like, maybe a light grass green at the moment...we're going to try going up a few ml/g with their feed ...im always really apprehensive about feeding autoflowers, im so rough with my photoperiods that autos are really a learning curve lol and iv'e overdone it in the past ...The MarsHydro however is doing amazing! we can tell already she's going to make us some stellar bud..we have so many future plans after this..a SOG type grow in the 4x2 with the SP-3000 would be a blast! Crazy Week. Despite Buffering COCO-Perl. Medium with Ph adjusted Calmag as well as always feeding ph adjusted nutrients. The Run off Came about 7.6 and the Ppm was at 1050. I wonder what might have caused the Coco to get alkaline. SO I FLUSHED all the 4 Plants several times until got the Run off to sit at 6.2 using only Ph adjusted water(5.5 - 5.6). Afterward ran one more final Run OFF with Nutrients Solution at 5.5.. Now letting them go dry completely. Not at all sure what cause the Ph Hike. But sure enough that has added up to the already stunted growth. Already purchased more PhotoPeriods. By the Time they arrive these auto's should be at least about to be harvested out of the tent. I'm ducked. 1# OG PLANT is mid 5th nodesDevelopment. 2# another OG plant is on early 5th Nodes development. Gelato Auto is on early 5th Nodes development. Gorilla Cookies is on mid 4th Node development. I thought of doing some plant training but no way on this run. I'd be surprised if even get a quarter of an ounce off one plant. Call me God of Faith but I have no other option but to keeping them and letting them do their thing and try to just learn it through everything and anything that come on the way on this stunted run.

Eine Reise geht zu Ende, wie ein Freund treffend sagte: "Sie werden so schnell erwachsen". 11 Wochen ist es her, dass ich dieses Tagebuch gestartet habe und bin ganz froh einen super entspannten Grow hinter mich gebracht zu haben. Die Pflanzen haben super auf das Topping reagiert und wuchsen danach mit schnellen Tempo weiter. Jetzt hängen sie zum Trocknen und in 5-6 Tagen weiß ich dann, wie viel es geworden ist.

So I think this was the 7th week or so but I flipped to flower with a 48 hour dark period around day 53ish. I opened the tent to neon budsites!
