🌸 Week 4 Flower Report: Growth, Challenges & Big Changes! 🌸 Hey, Grow Diaries Fam! ✨ We’re here at Week 4 of Flower, and what a week it’s been—packed with challenges, adjustments, and exciting progress! Before diving into the details, let’s start with a note on my flowering timeline. While this is Week 4, I don’t start counting flower days the moment I flip to 12/12. Instead, I wait for the plants to show true signs of bloom. It’s a small but significant distinction that keeps things accurate and aligned with the plants’ development. 🌱 Defoliation: Timing is Everything! Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different! This marks the start of a new chapter, and I’m incredibly curious to see how the plants react to these changes. Here’s the current nutrient mix: • System Clean: 0.5 ml/L • Regulator: 0.15 ml/L • RO Water Conditioner: 0.8 ml/L • All-in-One Liquid: 2.1 ml/L I’m keeping the pH at 6.1 and TDS at 556 ppm, and so far, the plants are thriving. First week of flowering! I chose to also do some lst on this lady, a bit of a different approach. She survived a couple of very warm days(32°C). The lower leaves started to die off so I used some more nutes. Watered with 2l(nutes), 1,5l(no nutes) and 2l(nutes). She is starting to smell a bit also, looking forward to seeing the buds!

Week 8 day 3, preparing for flush for week 9 and chop week 10

Week 2 in the books here and all is still Lookn good. Should be coming up on fim day pretty soon so that we can better manage plant heights through the stretch. Don’t expect to take much more than another week or so before we make the flip to flower. The Ghost Train clone is still fighting for roots so we’ll likely wait and see based on this cut. As soon as she starts to perk up we’ll move em over. Alls well so far👍. Background I’m killing a few birds with one cycle here. Got some famed breeder strains to show off - genetics that we just haven’t gotten around to growing successfully. Details as follows; Outlaw Seeds - Muffin Berry Why these guys aren’t listed on GD is surprising to me. All the hallmarks of a budding quality breeder from what he read although, I admit, this is our first go in real time. Just another addition to the berry strains as we continue our everlasting quest to find that “best berry” of them all.👍 AMS - Pineapple Express Great co. And I’ve got a full stable of their genetics kicking off this year. This strain has been a massive unicorn for us in the past and I still have yet to see one flower out to the finish proper. Can’t wait to see what this one does. The reviews have been terrific so 🤞. OSS - Banana Sherbet A kick in freebie that came with 2 other strains by OSS. Proven and reliable breeder with excellent hybrid combos. I expect this banana sherbet to be no different and early signs are that she’ll be one of the strongest👌. AMS - Ghost Train (clone) Another unicorn that we’ve had issues with. Our outdoor plant that was supposed to be an auto and turned out to be a photo. Unlikely with the typical fall weather that she’ll see harvest so this is an opportunity to take a cut and possibly salvage that grow. Really looking forward to this one for sure. They’ll all sit in bucket company bags and containers and we’ll be irrigating on drip lines with fewer plants than usual in this space. Hopefully we don’t run into any deficiency issues given that these buckets are a slight detraction from our typical dutchies. Only time will tell, here we go again👍🤞.

She’s growing like a champ . I couldn’t ask for more. I’ve began light defoliation of lower leaf sets. I also am experimenting with what I call “grooming” . I had a theory after about 5 weeks of growing my last run & decided to see if it pushed any limits . I haven’t begun training any lateral branches yet I think I’m gonna hold out until flowering is initiated or try to anyway . Only watering when dry still . No additional feedings or compost teas yet although I am considering . I think that’s all , another week on the GreeneScene in the books 📚

Well, we already know she's a grower. Check the difference in the pictures, first ones are the beginning of the week and last ones end of the week. They're definitely comfortable, I can notice the roots taking over the soil and the leaves are branching out which is great to see. Next week they'll be transplanted to final 11L fabric pots. ==== UPDATE 31-10-18 ==== Weight after 4 weeks: 137 grams from one plant! I am so happy :). 123 grams of grade A bud, 14 grams of great quality larf. My last grow had about 130 grams from 4 plants. Only two thirds of it was good bud. Autoflowers, never again! This plant never got bigger than the 70*70 tent it grew up in, so I used 0.5m² . 315w CMH started during week 3 of flower. Thanks again to Zambeza for a monster yielding plant. ======================== It's been quite a ride. The plant was harvested at the end of week 11. This plant survived spider mites, maybe thanks to the predatory mites, and environment actions. A slow start in the first few weeks but it turned out quite beautiful. I will update with weights later... if you are interested, leave a comment and I will notify Thank you very much for following my diary, and for all the kind support and advice. The "flavor report" is based off some trim hash, which was truly an A smoke. I can't recommend Critical XXL enough! Thanks to Zambeza for this great experience.
