This week was hottt. I have been out sic l8ly sorry 4 no updates. The girls r still growing strong. With very little maintenance. I gave them each 5 gallons of water with nutrients on Sat, (early morning since it was a heat wave) I defoliated (the lower branches became shaded out) and now the little bushes are taking upon a more tree like appearance. They are all just under the 7 ft roof, with training. They were hitting the roof and getting wet (morning dew), so i put more fans inside, (also the 90+ outside temps). No problems with heat. I will start making preparations 2 switch them 2 flower at the end of this month :)

I saw a fly in the tent about 10 days ago. The larvae of these flies feed on the roots of the plant. I first watered it with diluted hydrogen peroxide. then i flushed. now the ladies are fine. 🤓🌱🤓👍👍

D71 - SEP 22: Looking and smelling great. Haven´t seen much growth since the last 5 days or so, but it fattend up really well and it´s really dense, insanely dense. Thricomes developing, soon to be harvested :) D72: Now it´s time to mature, I don´t see any significant growth, only thricomes developing. No watering, it still has a lot. Humidity is really high these last 2 days, being around 50 - 70% rH. D73: No watering yet. No signs of any more thrips, thankfully. Seems to have fattened a little. D74: Maturing well, thricomes getting mostly cloudy and amber. No watering, tomorrow probably. D75-D77: Been a little off of GD for these past days. The tent is looking good in general, no thrips anymore, temps and rH are good. Watered with nutrients on day 76. Thricomes are really close to harvest and I´m really impacient but I´m trying to wait for it to get more amber 😄

Fairly fast grow although fairly airy small buds but probably caused by grow environment and lack of light at start

7/1: This plant has been extremely fun to watch do its thing over the last few weeks. Those little mistakes I made or neglected in my first grow have significantly helped me get off on the right foot this time around. Not to mention, I feel that the plant/genetics is fairly low maintenance. As I mentioned at the end of last week's entry, I started a little LST on the lower most node. Today, I have added landscaping staples to the second lowest node to allow it to stretch out and get more light from under the quickly growing top canopy. In addition to starting LST on the second lowest node, I did bring the light down to 16 inches above canopy at 60% power. This gives me a PPFD reading of roughly 750, which could be inaccurate due to using the phone app, but it still gives me a good idea of how much I should bump light power up each time. 7/3: Today was a big day for the Mrs. Gorilla Cookie. I decided it was time to add in a bit more soil as well as some amendments. I added 3tbsp of Gaia Green Power Bloom 2-8-4 and 1tbsp Gaia Green All Purpose 4-4-4. I then reapplied the landscaping staples to continue LST. The plants seem to be responding well to the light increase that I applied on 7/1. At the time, I was worried it would be too much, but the plant is really soaking it up and praying toward the light. I may increase the light a bit more at the end of the week. In addition, I plan to try out a self watering base toward the end of the week. I will going out of town soon for the remainder of July and need to test the base before I leave. I do have buddies that will help, but I would like things to be as easy as possible for them. I also hear great things on these self watering bases and if it works out will, I will definitely incorporate them into future grows. 7/6: The end of week 4 has come and this plant is really starting to kick into high gear. I do think adding in the bloom amendments really helped. Great, speedy growth, and looking green and healthy. Pistils have started to form and she's definitely starting to get a little stank. The lights are still at 60% but due to the constant growth the canopy raised causing the light to be 12 inches close and PPFD up to 950. I did notice a tiny bit of tacoing so I lifted the light a couple inches. I am now trying to keep them at a constant 14 inches above the canopy with a PPFD of around 850. I will likely hold off on adjusting the brightness for another few days, as I am liking the results I'm seeing. I started the plant on her self-watering base yesterday when I would have usually given it a feeding. Its only been a day, so its too soon to tell just how well its working, but the soil seems to be at a perfect moisture at all times. I did feed a little from the top today to help some of the nutrients that may still be at the top work its way into the pot. Overall, solid week. This grow is already shaping up to exceed my expectations and I feel pretty good about making it through the Veg stage in one piece. On to the flowering stage! So these Cream Cookies were really easy to grow! Almost too easy that I neglected them for a week or so and then found two of them covered in Aphids. We tried everything we could to save #1 & #2 but It was a battle that we eventual lost. They are in a bag in the freezer getting ready to be bubble hash. #3 to my awe and surprise has survived through thick and thin. Good and Bad. And will be my only smokeable "flower" from this run. That said I will run these again but inside in a controlled environment as it seems my FastBud Girls were prone to the aphids and caterpillars. Reguardless I'm super impressed with the structure and just look of the plant overall. Can't wait to smoke #3!!! The frozen bag of hash weighs in at 203g and includes the mutant #3 smoothie auto from my other diary which also was overrun with aphids. *Will update with dry numbers*

This week has been such a gift! I have learned so much about proper care for a plant I had no idea how little I knew sitting down and observing these majestic trees produce such a potent flower has really humbled me. Premium cultivars strain has shown resilient and self sustaining easy to grow traits that it is hard to mess up. (Which I’ve done a few times lol) Notice the trichomes (I put the zoom lens on and got up in there so they could be better seen the bud itself is slathered in them ! This is going to be an amazing smoke! Also looking at the structure of the bud it’s self it has volume very full bodied bracts with pistils throughout It’s just an all-around beautiful thing to observe
