Week 1 of the latest cycle and starting out with some new hardware and an expanded grow print👍. We’re running 4 autos via a recirculating Dutch bucket system. First time on a dutchy so it’s gonna be interesting to see how it stacks up against DWC. I’ll give a full rundown on the system I’ve cobbled together on the next update. So far - all seedlings have germ’d without issue using the standard p-towel method. Why more people don’t use this method on GD is beyond me. It’s so reliable that some breeders even warranty your seeds if you use this method and more than 1 seed fails to crack. We’ve got little sprouts coming up now and it’s all just waiting for those first couple fan leaves to come out and those roots to run to the bottom of each bucket. They’ve been placed in root riot cubes (essentially a version of rapid rooters) like most of our runs and I’d recommend their use with all autos. Time and stress on young autos is key so they need the absolute best start you can give them👌. End of week update - looks like we got 4 quality little seedlings here👍. Alls good other than battling a ph issue for most of the week. Keeps spiking overnight for no real reason - hopefully it’ll even out and isn’t the early sign of a major problem🤞. Background The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. Love you all❤️💜💚 Was looking for strong indica dominant strain and after reading and hearing so much about this one. Just couldn't resist to not give a go. Was a bit worried before planting seeds that my final yield outcome may not be satisactionary as only have 0.26msq and Fastbuds advertising this strain as 450-550g msq but thankfuly my result was way above this scale. My 2 beautiful ladies Athena - right corner lady. She was slighlthly more dominant over entire grow cycle. She got more space on scrog earlier and that's why she developed the most. Xena - left corner lady, I belive that she could outgrew her sister if she just have more space and another week of time. Did not expect her to turn so well on the end. Both girls were put in darkness for 48h before chop. Wet trimmed and hang for a week. Daily jars burbing for 10 days and every 2-4 days now. Weights Wet trimmed Athena 870g Xena 632g Total 1502g Dry trimmed Athena 172g Xena 147g Total dry 319g Bubble hash 6g (37g of trims) I am very happy with this result. In my opinion Banana Purple Punch Auto its a masterpiece. Day 77: All plants were cut. Wet trim and some touches before the cure process.

The plants are growing into a real forest and are exuding a pleasant, pungent bouquet. All strains are tacky to the touch and leave sticky residue on the fingers whenever handled. Finished feeding 13/14, happy with the product--flower starting to swell.

Week started 27/09 Still losing lots of leaves per day (due to yellowing). #3 doesn't have anymore fan leaves and some bud leaves are looking droopy. I'm hoping they will make it through to harvest without the need to spray Neem. Getting some Nematodes this week to put into the soil in case it turns out I have root aphids. The indoor setup was complete this week and the plants are now growing indoors full time. Still having problems maintaining heat in the tent without the humidity rising very high. I'm stopping the extraction fan at various intervals to raise the temp of the room but the humidity levels shoot towards 90% with the lights on. #1 30/09 - 25ml/5L Flores at pH6.3. 03/10 - 25ml/5L Flores and PK 13/14 at pH6.5 #2 28/09 - 25ml/5L Flores at pH6.1. Runoff measured at pH5.9, EC 1.11ms 03/10 - 25ml/5L Flores and PK 13/14 at pH6.5 - developing some nice colas. #3 30/09 - 25ml/5L Flores at pH6.3. 03/10 - 25ml/5L Flores and PK 13/14 at pH6.5 - whilst it has lost a majority of its leaves, there is a nice cola forming at the top. #4 30/09 - 25ml/5L Flores at pH6.3. 03/10 - 25ml/5L Flores and PK 13/14 at pH6.5 The White Widow looks like will be ready in a couple of weeks. That was the last feed.

The finish line is in sight. I have been completely caught of guard with this plant. It all started when I got a half oz of Gelato 33 top shelf grade AAAA+. Any who I being who I am,glass half full type of a grower. I found around 20 nice mature seeds and stored them away for a time. Out of the blue a thought hit me,?,I should geminate a couple of them there Gelato 33 bag seeds. I did not expect to much with this grow and I usually don't when growing out bag seed. Needless to say I honestly believe that this plant is far superior to the bud I got the seeds out of. Keep in mind the AAAA+ quality of the buds I got the seeds from. This plant had giving me absolutely zero issues. One day I'm looking at marble sized buds and I swear it seemed like overnight the transformed into golf ball sized nugs and then some. The colors are amazing purple, yellow, red, pink and the most alive green color I've seen. I have been placing a layer of crushed ice on top of the soil and letting it melt in and doing so has noticably increased trichomes and made her pop purple so dark it's black. Never again will I underestimate the power of bag seed genetics. Honestly I know me and in all reality any seeds from flower I purchase is always high grade or exotic so ya any viable seeds should in theory produce good quality medicine providing the pollination was from a nanner and not from full on hermies. I say that because a nanner pollination will give you female seeds as to a Hermie pollination will produce mixed with strong Hermie traits.

Flowering time was literally 44days to include 48hrs of darkness before cutting down. Also showed 0 nute issues. Only regret is I cloned the hell out of her and let her get too tall which killed my yield....so far, but clones are now all bigger than mom wooo hahaha! So in the end I was expecting 1.5 oz and got 1.3 (however, I havent harvested the roughly 4 grams of popcorns yet) which is fine being she made some top shelf buds...they a beauties!

*Week 5 Flower 09/24* Thus far both both plants are flowering and budding nicely, Trichomes are setting in accordingly, Increase in Phosphate and Potassium nute feeds. Both plants have appeared to stop growing in height settling in at 48Inches. Top COLAS are pretty dense and the aroma coming off both of them is bright and vibrant White Hairs are starting to turn bright orange. *Week 5 Flower Mid week update - 09/28* Both plants have reached max height (48 Inches) Bud sites are filling up and have become more dense with trichomes cover through the flowered bud. 60% orange hair coverage - Nearing harvest *Week 5 Flower End week recap 09/30* Both Apple Fritter and Critical+2.0 nearing harvest Cutting back on nute feeds starting tomorrow and will increase clean water feeds Flushing will begin in a week - both will be harvested in 2 weeks.

Unfortunate Week... Honey cream had a couple of "budrot" spots forming due to droplets of water dripping into the flower and not drying (99%humidity nights)... Thankfully those buds were cut down and she doesn't seem to be producing any more "budrot".. Apart from that, the smell is amazing on her. Power Flower is going nicely too, but seems to not have too much smell...

Weekly update on these beautiful ladies. A little late on the update I was out of town for the weekend and couldn't get to it before I left. They're Growing amazing and wow did i come back ti a jungle. They'll definitely be getting a defoliation and lollipop this week as it's needed. All in all Happy Growing.

Lot more to this girl this week her buds are starting to bulk nicely and she is producing more of a smell I'm really pleased with how she is turning out for my first ever grow and a DIY Aero/Hydroponic system. This was the last week of nutrients I will now start to dilute/flush my reservoir by just adding water of PH 6.2 to the solution for the next few weeks and then plan to do a complete reservoir change to just water at a PH of 5.8 - 6.2 for the final flush. This lady is showing beautiful roots and a fast growth pace, let's see how she keeps developing every day guys, finally this beautiful lady was Transplanted on February 2nd after 17 days planted from seed because I thought it was the right time considering her size and also because the pot was completely conquered by those super healthy and strong roots, let's see how this lady keeps performing so far! 💛❤️💚👨‍🌾💯

Grow was very easy and she pretty much took care of herself but I do think I stunted her early on which kept her fairly small but the buds are very fat and dense. Will do some more updates and the drying process goes.
