Week 4 - 01/22 to 01/28 2021 Pictures from Days 25 + 26 TRANSPLANTED! Might have waited too long but hopefully the transplant and LST stress might slow the plant down since i think it's already flipping to flower like the Red Poison & Purple Lemonade in my other diaries 😱 Ended up more 50/50 ratio of Destiny Organic's Dark Matter Living Soil + ProMixHP since I had to make the Destiny last. Apparently they went out of business just after I decided it was my favourite/new soil :( Would rather stay away from Ocean Floor since I haven't had the best experiences with it (bugs/rust fungus etc) Feel free to drop some recommendations other than Fox Farms below 👍 The Dark Devil Auto is otherwise healthy and starting show hints of colour in the stems 😈 I raised the @ViparSpectraLED P1500 another eight inches after transplant and started basic LST. I really wanted to get these four under a ScrOG but if 3/4 are already flipping and the LSD is still runty I might have to wait it out again. It already has a solid skunky/hash plant smell on the fingers after adjusting them and it looks like it might actually be a tripod mute with three flower sites per node. Hopefully I can stretch it out and take advantage of the extra bud potential 🙏 I have the @MarsHydroLED TSL2000 set up and ready to go once the girls settle into their new pots. Have the new surge protector/heavy duty power cords/power tool grade timers as mentioned in Week 3. Some of it shown in the pictures. Sounds like an epic strain and I personally cannot wait for this lady to strut her stuff!😍 ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Setup: This is going to be an outdoor grow, but I have started the Papaya Sherbet photoperiod indoors as our weather is still a bit too chilly to put a newly sprouted seedling outside (nighttime temp's dipping regularly into the 40's℉). The plan is simple... let her grow inside under a 19/5 light schedule until the nighttime temperatures are in the mid 50's℉, which shouldn't be long. After which, she'll be moved outside and transplanted into the soil which I have already setup and inoculated with beneficial microbes from BioTabs and slow release dry amendments from Gaia Green. Once she's established herself outside she'll be given periodic top dressings of Gaia Green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 along with worm castings and Compost Tea's. Her grow area is approx. 5'x5' and I have posts and a trellis net set up already for when she gets bigger to aid in training her. Let the fun begin!🤪💚 ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 8/3- After eleven weeks in veg the FastBuds Papaya Sherbet photoperiod has finally stopped stretching and I think that this girl's getting ready to transition into flower thank goodness! Our weather has moderated somewhat with daytime high temp's now in the 89-93℉ range but it still remains very dry requiring the daily watering to continue. 8/5- Today I watered the Papaya Sherbet photoperiod as usual at sunset with around 8g of well water from the garden hose. 8/7- We finally have some much needed rain on the way in the way of a tropical system which will be bringing on and off showers from today through the 9th. As a result of this gift from above I will not have to water the rest of this week! I am going to add a 7 foot support stake next to the plant to help support her if we should get any high winds. 8/9- I'm thankful for the support stake that I installed next to the plant, then tied the plant to it as we encountered pretty strong winds yesterday and I think that without the stake, the plant may have gotten knocked over! The rain is supposed to end this evening and be sunny tomorrow so I'll be outside first thing in the morning to check on the plant to see how she made out through the storms. Hopefully next week the Papaya Sherbet photoperiod by FastBuds will be shifting gears and then the fun can begin!!! Day 17 (starting Aug. 2nd afternoon): Will water them with a lightly enhanced RO water that was imprinted with frequencies via a PEMF coli for about one day when their day starts. After being away over the extended weekend, on day 20 ladies have grown very nicely. I topped nr# 1 and #2 after I took the photos and will give them a bit of water with Root Complex to compensate for the shock later. Sadly my brilliant control equipment has crashed completely and will not even take a photo currently. Yikes. Hope I can get it back alive this week again. Also turned the left light up by another 20%, now running at 40 W, and lifted it a bit. Eye inspection told me lights were lower here and ladies can get a bit more. At the end of their day 20, they seem to have survived the topping well. I managed to cut right above the new nodes which are already growing. Ladies are at 20 cm height before going to sleep. Day 21 shows great growth again, with lady #1 being at 22 cm now and lady #2, while being a bit less tall, extremely good side branch development. I hope that the rearranged lighting on the left side of the tent will make #1 grow a bit bushier too. Besides from that, I am really happy I tested Hesi HPE. I had such enormous success with room plants that made me want to see how Cannabis plants react to it. It will not add much to salinity, so I dared to add it quite early. While the photos are processed to compensate the lighting, I did not add much to saturation, so leaves are indeed of a very vivid, luscious green and ladies looking extremely healthy. Speed of growth has increased too as the added video shows. It also tells me lighting is enough – they are turning their leaves away right at the end of their day. I am really uncertain if I will change to usual Hesi grow fertiliser at all … Did a bit of LST to the lowest branches of lady #2 which spread almost to the border of her pot. Both temporary girls will leave the tent soon, so that the competitors will have maximum space to develop. Day 22, end of week 3: Outside girl went to get fresh air from now on. Wishing her luck, good weather and not a single male in the vicinity. I rearranged the lights and positioned them a bit higher. First preflower signs appeared on the ladies, so I will change the lighting phase when I return next week. Currently, I have them at 18/6, 45 cm above heads, with 80% running to a total of 80 W. I wasn’t so lucky topping #2. She has only one "top side" branch now … But grows extremely well, so ok!

Getting there! Continuing to feed her Pride Lands Flower and GreenGro flower finisher. Add seaweed, humic acid and silica to the water. I’m thinking one more feeding and then just water and blackstrap molasses. I sure am going to miss this girl

Increased feeding to 3ml FP on day 35 & light to 40% (abound 18-20000 lux) today on day 36, greening up nicely.

Day 57 - Starting week 9 and WOW, what a difference in week. I’m thinking this girl is gonna end up being a beast. She’s stretching about an inch every day and filling in more and more each day. I’m ready for the next few weeks of more of the same. Growing is still fairly new to me and I can’t be happier with the FastBud genetics and how this girl is looking so far. Will give her the next foxfarm trio feeding on Thursday. Day 58 - Not much to really update. She’s getting fatter and filling in everyday and getting pretty frosty. Will give her her next feed of foxfarm tomorrow. It amazes me, how much she fills in and fattens up each day. Day 59 - I’m still amazed by the growth everyday. She’s looking pretty amazing. Gave her the last week 9 foxfarm feeding and will give her straight water until the week 10. She’s still got a couple weeks to go but can’t wait for her to be finished. Day 60 - Looking great. She slowed down her drinking a bit so held off on watering her but will check her out tomorrow and see how thirsty she is. She’s defensively fattening up each day but still a couple weeks before I think about chopping. She’s got lots of growing time left. Day 61 - She’s really starting to smell the place up and it amazing. She was pretty thirsty, gave her a full gallon of pH’d water before she started any sort of runoff. All looking good and can’t wait for her to finish. Day 62 - Nearing the end of week 9 and really pleased with this girl. She’s really starting to fatten up and fill in. Still a couple weeks left but can’t wait to harvest and try this girl. Day 63 - Ending week 9 and looking sweet. She’s really starting to pack on some weight and filling in nicely. She’s definitely starting to get frosty and starting to smell really good.

This week was good, stopped feeding nutes, ro water only, the buds are so solid, nice and thick. Didn’t think this was going to be so big, the 16”x16” fits the growbed perfect, it the plant is a little cramped, a 24”x24” would be perfect, as the branches would be able to droop more and allow more light to some lower growth. However after this I’m using these tents to do smaller scrog plants, which are photos. And I’ll do the auto-flowers in a more open environment.

Bonjour a tous les padawans et les maîtres jedis Pour cette semaine 4 je surveille comme à mon habitude hygrométrie et arrosage. Je peaufine mon LST en stressant ma plante le moins possible. Je combine mon LST avec un pincage d'Apex cela me permettra d'avoir une canopé plus homogène donc une meilleure pénétration lumineuse et par conséquent un meilleur rendement. Petit rappel sur le pincage d'Apex: Le pinçage des plantes de cannabis Proche de la taille d’apex sur le principe, cette technique possède cependant plusieurs avantages, le principal étant de conserver le gros bud central de la plante, d’une production et qualité maximale. Pinçage des plantes de cannabis Le pinçage d’apex (tête de la plante) consiste simplement à pincer délicatement la tige du dernier étage de la plante, entre le pouce et l’index, jusqu’à sentir la fibre s’écraser sous les doigts avec un petit bruit critch caractéristique. Si l’espace disponible sur la tige du dernier étage ne permet pas d’y placer confortablement ses doigts, il faudra plutôt pincer l’étage du dessous. Le pinçage ralentira fortement la croissance verticale de la plante, tout en stimulant le développement des branches secondaires, donnant ainsi à la plante une forme de buisson. La plante mettra quelques jours à réparer ce pinçage, formant un nœud à cet endroit, et poursuivra ensuite sa croissance de façon normale. Le pinçage peut alors être répété si nécessaire, sur l’étage suivant nouvellement formé, ainsi que sur les éventuelles branches secondaires qui pourraient dépasser l’apex. Le pinçage est donc une excellente technique pour avoir une belle canopée uniforme de type marée verte. En pinçant régulièrement l’apex des plus grandes plantes de votre espace, durant la croissance et en début de floraison (stretch), vous obtiendrez ainsi facilement des plantes de hauteur homogène en pleine floraison, ce qui facilitera la culture et augmentera la production finale, surtout si vous cultivez simultanément de multiples variétés de marijuana. Avec un peu d’habitude le pinçage pourra être réalisé aussi rapidement qu’efficacement. En cas de pinçage trop violent qui se traduirait par un apex arraché, cela produira simplement les mêmes résultats qu’une taille classique de l’apex, ce qui ne sera donc pas dramatique.
