BIG BIG apologies to Heather from fast buds & to Growdiaries & anyone who follows. The past few months have been a massive struggle, not just with temperatures & growing weed but on a personal level. My wife has been very poorly & with covid and everything going on, it's put a massive strain on us all!! I've tries to maintain an active presence on Instagram but that's about all I've physically had time for. I've put this update together today, so far into the grow now it almost seems pointless. I lost my original Mimosa due to high temps & high RH. Moving into the attic at that time of year was a mistake. It has cost me a small fortune to keep things alive. I've had to purchase an air con unit, more fans & just more of everything to be honest. My purple punch is almost ready to harvest, any time within the next couple of days, followed shortly by Bruce Banner & Kosher cake. I wont be winning any awards for this Diary & I feel bad as I was supposed to be show casing what 420 Fast buds has to offer & I've failed...miserably. Hi Grow room buddies. Here we have another generous sponsors run of Zamnesia Autos. Ordering was a simple process with a great delivery and after sales welcome to the brand. A nice touch indeed. Rhe pack I recieved was well wrapped and secure with no signs of being tampered with in any way. A really nice package of goodies was found inside from plant labels to grinders and plenty of nice stickers to decorate too. I chose the 3 strains as 1 I love as a strain in the amnesia haze and the Gsc is one i have fancied growing for a while. The sticky beast looks like a great new strain to sample too. I used the cup of water soak for 24 hours to soften the seed casing and dissolve any protective coatings they may have . After 24 hours they were still all sealed but had at least sunk so I left them a further 12 hours. I then put them allnjnto a light mix to hopefully germinate under my lights but at a good distance away and in a heated propagator . Within a few days I saw a few heads popping up and signs of most being awake by disturbed soil. Sadly leaving them for a few more days resulted in 6 making the surface but the only Sticky beast that got through , opened a second set of leaves and keeled over with a stragulated looking stem halfway up ??. I recovered her in her fallen state in the hope she may still fight on but it isn't looking good. ( see pics !) With only 5 making it to this point , I have had to fill the gaps with other seeds. A little disappointed to get 4 failures but hopefully Zamnesia will ensure this is looked at ?. I now have 3 very healthy looking Amnesia Haze and 2 sprightly looking Girls scout cookies to play with. I have now got them into their 30L pots and have done on them to encourage a little moisture while they settle in. Fingers crossed........

Again, a week has passed. I repotted the plants into their final 15L/4 gallons shoes with Plagron All-Mix. Plants are looking fine, not perfect, but okay. It feels like they are a bit overwatered and/or very slightly overfed because of the All-Mix. For now, I reduce the watering by 50%. Furthermore, I did a FIM on another Jack Herer (#3). The first FIM I did on JH#1 is looking to work out perfectly, as I can see the development of four new stems (check out the pictures). Great! The SP 3000's intensity was increased to full power, it's very bright. I am happy with the quality of the light. It does what it was built for and does it very well. Temperature and humidity stats are looking perfectly so far. I hope it stays like that, the days are getting warmer as summer comes our way. But my ventilation is currently running on intensity level 1/5, so we still have some room for maneuver. In addition, I will get a second oscillating clipfan soon. Next week I plan to FIM plants that have not been FIMed yet and let them recover. By then, most of the stress for the plants should be over and I can let them grow in peace. Stay tuned!

📆 Week 4, 12-18 May 2024 12 May - Upgraded light to ViparSpectra XS1500Pro. 13-14 May - Observed the plant. 15 May - Plant shows first pistils. 16-18 May - Observed and let the plant grow. 📑 It was time to upgrade my light and it was an easy choice to stay with ViparSpectra. In my opinion, for small tents and the home grower they are the brightest lights available on the market. The only problem with the *2024 new versions are the dimmer switches. They limit how you can adjust the power: 5, 25, 50, 75 and 100% are the only settings, nothing in between. If you are trying to “dial” in your DLI/PPFD it makes it impossible without adjusting light height, which is quite cumbersome comparatively. Your forced to work around an issue which should have never been one! The plant is showing its first pistils this week. This doesn’t mean its in flower. There is no bud formation yet, she is just letting you know she is female. It could be another 2-3 weeks or longer before buds start developing.
