Defoliated the heck out of them for the last time.. 2 weeks into flowering, now I’ll just clip stuff here and there that interferes with light.. But that’s it they both look healthy.. Crazy happy with the Red Diesels come back from death to 18” tall so far and multiple colas. For a backup the Cinderella grew great.. Caught up to the diesel with a decent height and still growing.. Both strong plants I may try one re-veg, I’m in between that or mini field of green with Orange Creamsicle seeds I have.. The nutrient calculations are off.. I give them 5ml of mantis per liter every feeding, and 15 ml Bembe per gallon once a week now during flowering.

BPP started the fourth week showing potential, the plant is thick, vigorous, I start to regret not having put it in a bigger pot. On the 25th day I applied my homemade FAA in the morning, 2ml/L. On the 27th day the cultivation of up to 6 female marijuana plants was decriminalized in Brazil, as well as the possession of up to 40g 🙌 On the 28th day I made a new mixture of soil with bone meal, dolomitic limestone and bokashi, I used some perlite for the aeration too.

🌸 Week 4 Flower Report: Growth, Challenges & Big Changes! 🌸 Hey, Grow Diaries Fam! ✨ We’re here at Week 4 of Flower, and what a week it’s been—packed with challenges, adjustments, and exciting progress! Before diving into the details, let’s start with a note on my flowering timeline. While this is Week 4, I don’t start counting flower days the moment I flip to 12/12. Instead, I wait for the plants to show true signs of bloom. It’s a small but significant distinction that keeps things accurate and aligned with the plants’ development. 🌱 Defoliation: Timing is Everything! Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different! This marks the start of a new chapter, and I’m incredibly curious to see how the plants react to these changes. Here’s the current nutrient mix: • System Clean: 0.5 ml/L • Regulator: 0.15 ml/L • RO Water Conditioner: 0.8 ml/L • All-in-One Liquid: 2.1 ml/L I’m keeping the pH at 6.1 and TDS at 556 ppm, and so far, the plants are thriving. This week also included a thorough system clean, ensuring everything runs smoothly as we enter the final flowering stages. 🌿 Bud Development: Pure Magic! The bud formation across all the genetics is nothing short of incredible. Every plant is thriving, and the canopy is lush, vibrant, and full of potential. I’ve raised the PPFD to 750 for this stage, with temps steady at 25°C and RH at 63%—keeping the VPD dialed in at 1.11. Started a liquid supplement because my dry amendments aren’ didn’t activate my last grow. Maybe I didn’t mix them deep enough or keep the top layer wet enough but i know its the end of my first run & my girls have been STARVING . So even though I did top dress a few weeks ago I still started her on liquid amendments like my oldest girls & she’s handled all the feedings brilliantly. She has pre flower pistals showing but only sparsely so we’re still vegging out. She’s a beast & that’s an understatement. Definitely the biggest & most vigorous auto I’ve ever grown. Liquid amendments I’ve been feeding are still indeed organic so no worries.

Well, this week has been eventful. What started with a fly deciding to lay eggs in my buckets with larvae swimming around and chilling on my roots turned into a bit of a disaster. I used very weak H2O2 (diluted 3% solution). To try and clean infestation, the roots didn’t like it, even though the actual concentration of H2O2 was probs less than 0.25%. Lesson learned 🙃 It has given some of them a touch of root rot (this is an assumption because I can’t figure out what else it could have been). So growth has stunted a lot. Just before the bug problem, I increased EC to 1.1, this was probably another mistake, the smaller girls at the back with a smaller root mass got massive lock out, potassium, mag and calcium by the looks of it, coupled with a few not so well timed PH swings out of the 5.5-6.5 range gave me a lot to combat this week. But, life goes on, they’re still alive (just about)... As this is probably the hardest curve ball I’ve had thrown at me since I started growing canna, I have cut back the EC to 0.56 to allow them to heal. Probably wrongly decided to top them all as they were growing past 7th node, either it’s gonna pay off, or I’ll be posting harvest details of 0g by this time next week 👽 I am on a stay at home holiday from work for the next 3 weeks, so looks like my babies are staying in the ICU and I’ll do my best to bring them back to life 😊

After switching the light schedule, our supposed "autoflowers" have finaly started to show signs of actually flowering. Week 9, what a trip. This grow is full of surprises and new lessons for me: the potting mix i have used for this grow is apparently purely peat (black and white peat moss) with perlite mixed in. After digging into some more information about all kinds of soils i found out that i was apparently growing "hydroponically" because this is apparently a soilless mix. The world is full of surprises 😅 This does explain a lot of the stuff that i've been trying to deal with in the last few weeks: first and foremost my plants were looking like they were developing a range of different nutrient deficiencies. I still find it hard to tell which ones, but symptoms ranged from decoloration and deformation of the lower leafs up to small burnt tips on the developing flowers, new growth being brittle and signs that looked like underwatering. I'm convinced that this has a lot to do with the fact tht this is a soilless medium with 0 pre-supplied nutrients (the light mix does supply nutrients for a week or two, but no more). I've been going really slow on the feeding because in previous runs i tended to overfeed and had issues with that, so therefore only used about a quarter to half of the recommended dosages. So, at this point i've completely switched up my feeding: i bought 2 new bottles of hydroponic fertilizers (GHE Bloom and GHE Micro) and i'm using those in addition to a little bit of plagron terra grow - to make sure the plant also gets its fair share of nitrogen. After 3 days of watering with this stuff (both at 2ml/L) the plants are almost literally screaming "THANK YOU!" and seem to be really benefitting from this new insight and change of strategies.

So we're in week 3 veg , they've mostly outgrown their mutated leaves now and looking strong.

Week 18 Day 120 (11/12/2020): I checked the girls’ trichomes and they are looking great. They are definitely getting more amber but still a small percentage. Also most of the pistils have browned now so I think they are about 2 weeks away from harvest now. At the next watering I will definitely start the flush! Day 121 (12/12/2020): The girls are looking good today but definitely starting to go more and more yellow. But I think during this time it is actually good news and I will be happy for those girls taking up all the nutrients left into the buds to make them extra tasty!🤤 Day 122 (13/12/2020)💧: Sooo this week is the start of the flush, just 1.5L of water. They are definitely ready for the flush and the buds are looking gorgeous! So gorgeous, in fact, that we cannot wait for the girls to be ready. So I cut some stems off to dry 🙊 We basically realised that they will not be ready and dry by Christmas (plus we would want to still cure them for min 2 weeks) and so I cut some of the smaller stems off to get some buds ready for Christmas celebrations 🎄 I only cut off 2 stems (one from each girl) of the buds that were at the bottom. I’ve put them into a box with holes in a room that has good airflow. I’ll also make sure to weigh them and add it to the final dry weight. They do look super amazing though and definitely quite purple Day 123 (14/12/2020): Didn’t have time today to take pics of the girls but I’m sure they are fine 😉 Day 124 (15/12/2020): I swear the buds look fatter and fatter every single day that I check them. Looking great, smelling great, and will definitely taste great! Day 125 (16/12/2020)💧: Second flush of the week, great stuff. Just gave them water and ripped off some dry leaves. There are some stems at the bottom that are still quite weak and cannot hold their weight. At this point it is too late to cut them off but I have definitely learned to lollipop for the future! Day 126 (17/12/2020): What a great end to the week and just 1 more week to go! Buds are looking astonishing at this point. And I swear they are getting more and more red even though I thought they wouldn’t. The trichomes are developing beautifully as well, definitely harvest-ready in just a few days! And next week, I will be watering twice and probably harvest after the whole week is finished, so on Christmas day! What a great present 🎁

They have continued to grow well and since removing the sick dr jack outside the tent this has allowed space for me to try and tie down the larger overstretched plant. So far the LST methods have seemed to be working out well too giving a lot more nodes access to light. Still not quite sure what was wrong with the dr jack but there is some small new growth and there are no markings on the leafs.

This plant will be grown again for sure. From start to finish there wasn’t a single issue and she performed well under my Optic LED and LST. Can’t wait to grow this again.

The strain came out amazing very purple an very dense didn't have a very strong smell but deff a nice one got 3 ounces after all said an done

Now they are in 15 liter felt pots. I did some defoliation to open up the lower branches.
