Still spraying with Monterey BT. Minimal moth larvae damage. Flowers are increasing in size as well as scent. All plants are at different stages of flower within a week or two of progress. I will add more plant support next week as the branches are increasing in weight now. Most plants are taller than me now with many tops. It will be quite the effort to roll out the support poles and accompanying twine.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. So far, so good. I used a but of koolbloom. I'm pretty new to this, so I don't know of it will help. But here goes. Not much longer I think. May e a few more weeks. Water change on 3/9. 4 gal well water 1 tsp maxi bloom 1 tsp Kool bloom ph to 5.8. Looking good!

All of the ladies are now starting to flower except the NHL I think it’s a little behind but all in all they are growing great! First week of bloom 💯💚

hey guys so otheother week has passed the ladies are coming along real nice , some more flavours hitting my nose now and some intensity is kicking in and is stinking i love it . Still await Aircon 😫but temp fix in place bought 20 freezer blocks and me and my missus rotate daily to keep under control 😀my Epson salt arrived so all have had a treatment still waiting on my molasses coming should be a few days and will treat aswell . til next week family 😀

The adventure continues

This plant has been going strong for sometime now. I’m starting this grow diary so soon because I need to keep track of how much longer I have until it’s ready for harvest. I already forgot what day I switched to bloom lol. But I’ll be posting weekly. With better pictures.

It’s been a good week for this girl. I caught the Vid, and have been doing the very minimum to can get away with to keep her going. No training, but I did do a little bit of defoliation. Temp and RH was steady for the large part. I’ll be transplanting her to a 4 gallon pot next week, and again once I clear my tent of the other 3 autos I have going, I will transplant again to her 7 gallon final pot. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊😊

Que pasa familia, ya estamos de vuelta y empezamos la primera semana de floración, ya cambiamos el ciclo a 12/12 , y ya marco su sexo, es hembra. Pues seguimos controlando ph, lo bajamos un poco a 6,2 a ver si chupan mejor los nutrientes, temperatura y humedad controlados, siempre dentro de los parámetros correctos, hemos bajado un poco la distancia del foco, ahora en floración lo agradecerán. Así que esto es todo, ya veis que va bien tiene buen color y no hay problema ninguno, nos vemos la semana que viene fumetillas.

📆 Week 5, 19-25 May 2024 19-25 May - Observed and let the plant grow. 📑 The plant is very compact with big, wide leaves, typical with Afghan varieties. The spacing between nodes is a good 1”. What I do is tuck the big leaf under the developing branches rather than cut them off early in this stage, to help the plant produce maximum energy. I also snip very low sucker shoots that do not have a chance to keep up with the plant, which is only a few. This keeps all the growth focused on the top of the plant for now. Week 9/12 - 15/12 Huge drop of temperature this week

Girls look fresh and healthy..green and vigor. Almost too big for those pots..last week in those pots and then to 5 gal + some clones to cut and go to flower in the sun. Got BF Pineapple Chunk seeds shipping right now so will be reported next diary.

She is fed every 5 days. 8/5 I'm bubbling up a batch of pit bull Stew tea. This is my first time making a tea. Worm castings, bat shit, recharge, kelp, foxfarm grow big and rice water for carbs and starch. Been hearing good things about rice and potatoe water. 8/6 two gallons of tea. 8/11 giving the same tea minus the recharge adding 1/2 teaspoon foxfarm open sesame. Today she is getting a Foxfarm feeding. 8/7. She takes almost 2 gallons until I see run off. She was fed 24 ml per 2 gallons of Tiger Grow. I could have went to 30mls, but like to stay on the safe side. She is about the size I wanted her to be. I prefer no one can see her. Also how much bud do I need. She has been fun to grow. Next year I'm growing 2 outdoor photos different strains. This is my first grow in many years. I beat the crap out of this plant. Tying, pulling and bending. She has branches that look like a W. She should be in flower very soon. I been pulling off the obvious branches that will not make it. Then once she is in obvious flower, I will see if anymore need to be removed. I'm sure there will be a few, have to see what the stretch does. She got well fed this weekend. So I expect a lot more growth.

Christmas Update Nugs are becoming fatter and really frosty. I have started looking at the trichomes and they are mostly cloudy. one more feeding for this lady, and than only tap water till the end. here is day 48 of flowering. I wish you all Merry Christmas
