Fo' Twenny Back with another update on our "Grandaddy Purple" from Blimburn Seeds! 8/24: I did some selective defoliation to help increase light penetration. Next watering will be a flush with 2 tsp/gal of Fox Farm's flush agent SledgeHammer. A flush is recommended after week 3 in the Fox Farm Feeding chart. I figure the recommended flush will do some good considering I have a lot of coco in the mix and there are small amounts of salt fertilizer in my schedule. She is really starting to do some stretching and she has an abundance of growing shoots. She has a few leaves that look textured or "crinkled". I tried doing some searches and not sure if this is due to a virus or some other factor. She is center in the tent and the only plant being grown in a fabric pot. She has also been vegging longer than any of the other plants in the garden. She was a survivor from previous run when I almost killed all my plants (did kill one) trying to kill so spider mites. This is the only plant presenting these abnormalities. I gave a lot of detail about the abnormal leaves because I am hoping someone may be able to help me troubleshoot. 8/28: Flushed the medium with tap H2O run through 2 KDF filters with 2 tsp/gal of Fox Farm Sledgehammer flushing agent and pH adjusted to 6.2. I started by giving 5 gallons. After checking the PPM of the runoff I ended up adding 5 more gallons mixed to same specifications. 10 gallons total was shared by 3 large flowering photoperiod cultivars and 1 smaller autoflower. She probably ended up with about 3 gallons give or take. I didn't measure how much each plant received. I just kept flushing each and checking runoff until it was under 1600 ppm. The run continues nicely, we still had some temperatures of nutritive solution a little high with the heat of Danielle. It drops drastically in 2 days so I will finally finish this growth in the calm one and will be able to begin my bloom on September 24th. I apply hydrogen peroxide at a rate of 0.5ML/L, twice a week as a treatment. The root Rot X is used every ten days when changing the nutritive solution. I put less water in my system, in order to create a wet zone and a dry zone, I make sure that the roots are always immersed of course. As soon as the temperature drops, I will switch to 800 ppfd for the end of growth and depending on the evolution of the plants I may add some sensi grow a and b to increase the ec a little. If you are attentive, you will observe on the tips of the leaves or even on the leaves, spots of burns or deficiencies, it is simply the consequence of the pythium a few days earlier. The last growth update will be around September 24/25.

Hey! Welcome to week four for Misty, a mystery auto from FastBuds. I update daily so go check last week which is now complete. :) Day 22: I have reconfigured the tent - see video for new config. Misty has more light now. Fertigated 2l. Day 23: I have heavily pruned the companion plants and performed some LST and defoliation (where big fan leaves block nodes, or are in the way). Pretty radical looking changes, brutal perhaps. I did it to Nesia last week and she responded very well. So let's see how Misty handles it. I have been doing increasingly tough LST since Day 7 in preparation for this brutality so she should bounce back. Day 24: See? :) Day 25: Misty had breakdrought at 0900. Fertigated approx 4l. Day 26: Trying to wait a week before further training. Day 27: Did a little gentle LST and took off 2 leaves. Didn't manage to wait a week only 4 days. Day 28: Fertigated 5l.

Well, sadly had to harvest a week early due to some bud rot. Gave everything a good wash with baking soda, lemon juice and double rinsed. Hang dried for 10 days, paper bag to sweat for 2 days, then straight to grove bags. Full weight dried, just over 1lb. I fimmed so much in anticipation of rot, so while the buds were smaller there was a LOT. Test smoke was amazing, shocked how smooth it was with zero cure, packed a punch to! I expect the humidity to rise a bit in the grove bags over a few days, hoping 60% range. I mostly make FECO for gummies with everclear extraction, so excuse the less then tight trim, trichomes are trichomes! Ended up snipping the second haul 10 days after first, still going strong, but very wet, dont expect it to last much longer. Never going back to synthetic nutes, sticking with organic living soil from this point on! Got Gorilla Cookies Fast Flower on order for next year, plan on doing a 16 cola manifold with some LST. Will cut the trunk and let the root mass decay over winter, will mulch leaves and compost over it all until next years plant is ready to go in around April. Another year down! Start Woche 3 Blüte. Heute wurde das erste mal Entlaubt und ein paar der untersten Triebe kamen weg. Nun haben sie wieder etwas Luft. Die rechte Dame legt gerade einen zwischenspurt ein😳 (Hoffe die ist Ende der Woche mit dem größten Teil der Strech Phase durch)... Beide bekamen heute nochmal ein Topdress mit 2g/l Greenhouse Feeding BioBloom. Ansonsten ist das bisher ein sehr entspannter Run😌😌 Außer ab und an den Tank kontrollieren ist nix zu tun. Tag 15 Blüte Die Lampe wurde nochmal hochgehängt.. (nun ist Ende, höher geht nicht) Aber es kam endlich die Zusatzbeleuchtung an und wurde direkt eingebaut. 40W Fullspectrum als undercanopy und 48W UV (auch als Pest Control). Das Undercanopy ist mit der Hauptlampe an. Die UV ist erstmal auf 50% gedrosselt und läuft je 15min vor und nach der Lichtphase.

Deepforest Super auto is growing great. She has been thriving and making a lot of progress. I delayed her solution change she has been doing so well. I will likely have to in about a week. I did her first lst and selective defoliation on her today. She is looking good. I did turn tge light down from 40 percent to about 30. She seemed to be growing stocky. I want her to reach a little more. I know there is still lots of growth to come. Everything is going great.
