Recovered well from the defoliation on day 21 of flower. Pretty much plain sailing from now on as stretch has stopped and only need a few heads and maybe remove the odd leaf.

Mid way through Week 6. I’m finally current in my grow diary so hopefully I can keep it updated in real time.

Not much to tell this week, happy to say that she's been doing well over the last week while she has been flushed with ph'd tap water! She is now getting close to harvest time, I think I might let her flush for a couple of days more before I harvest her😁 She is a little older and further along than the rest of the tent, so she will be the only one to be harvested and I will let the three other run until I see amber trichomes develop on them! I planted her a little earlier than the three others to allow me to use her as my "test dummy" for my first run, and so I could make corrections for the other three early on! But even though she has been my tester and has taken a bit of abuse from time to time while I was still more unsure of everything at the start, she has still turned out way better than I ever had dared to hope for when I started this journey over 100 days ago, and the heavy aroma shes giving off is amazing and she has developed some of the more dense nugs out of my four girls so far! 🙏 But yeah I'm thinking that I will harvest her tomorrow or the day after at the latest to let me get a trail run off on drying before I harvest the other three girls, just to make sure I get that process down! But the next update that I will come with will be after the harvest if things goes to plan, and like I said I am soo excited for that day to come and get my next run started! 😁 Happy growing everyone! and thank you for all the encouragement and comments, it has really helped a lot and I will for sure stay active on the community and make a dairy for my next run too!

Auto Opium is just finishing up. She will go to ph water tomorrow. Then next update will be her harvest. She took a long time to grow and develop. I am glad she is finishing out. i was surprised that she was done on 2/15/25 spidermites had completely taken over one bud so i decided to check trichomes and she seemed ready.

So I've had the DIY CO2 generator (this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NWWKQHB?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details) in the tent since weeks 2-3 of veg, but just today went to the dollar store to upgrade my 2L bottles to 96oz (2.84L) bottles and figured no better time to post it than now. Hopefully now I won't have to refill it every 3-4 days since it's been on full blast since flower started. It's controlled by a 12 volt solenoid that's on the same timing cycle as the lights for optimum photosynthesis. Tried the yeast/sugar jug at first but after some digging around found this to be the most efficient and consistent system (within budget) for the size of my tent. For the larger bottles I just took the same standard ratios recommended for the 2L's and blew them up by 2.5x (500g citric acid, 1500mL water; 500g baking soda, 500mL water).

Last week ended with a little makeover for the girls—I defoliated about 30-40% of the leaves again. ✂️ The Gorilla decided to keep me on my toes by showing some nutrient deficiencies on her leaves—guess she didn’t get enough food after the flush. 🍌🌿 (Lesson learned: don’t keep a Gorilla hungry!) Now, let’s talk about Runtz! 😍 She’s an absolute queen—so photogenic that even my struggling phone can’t capture her real beauty. 📸✨ She’s forming into one giant, luscious bud, and her fragrance is something else entirely! 🕵️‍♂️ The carbon filter is fighting the good fight, but if the room isn’t aired out every 8-9 hours, a little aroma starts sneaking through. But opening the tent… oh, my friends, that’s where the magic happens! 🌬️💫 The aroma is intoxicating—imagine diving headfirst into a field of flowers while bees whisper secrets in your ears. 🌺🐝 I just sit there, enchanted, savoring the smell, and staring at these beauties like a hypnotized gardener. Moin moin liebe Leute erstmal Entschuldigung das ich Woche 8 nicht hoch geladen habe, hab einfach den Kopf zu voll zur Zeit der grow läuft an sich ganz gut alle 2 Tage muss ich die Arme der okto moms neu anpassen mit der Höhe damit die Äste einiger maßen auf gleicher Höhe bleiben. Hab zusätzlich heraus gefunden was die Flecken auf den blättern verursacht ich hab die ganze zeit extract und bat boost gleichzeitig genutzt dabei werden die Zusätze getrennt benutzt (ich depp wieder) extract für vegi phase und in blüte umstellen auf bat boost naja die okto moms leben und gedeihen werde die tage auch auf 12/12 licht plan umstellen und somit ist dann auch die Hälfte des grows schon wieder rum euch noch ein schönen Sonntag meine homies und growmies

WELL! What an experience. I made some mistakes, learned a lot and still got some excellent weed out of it. Super frosty, LOUD and SO dense it's ridiculous 😂 Sadly i got some (a lot for me) mold, i encountered for the very first time. With it being almost winter in Germany, the temps dropped really hard for some days and then even 60% humidity was too much for the strain. I also would say it isn't that resistant against mold, so just keep that in mind, the buds are so dense, it's really easy for them to trap water. I had to throw away like 1/4 of the yield, mostly the top buds 💀 That kinda sucked, but it could be worse, it's fire weed tho, i'll add pictures of the buds later.

Week 4 update! 🌱 Week 3 is done, and the ladies are now three weeks into their flowering phase. So far, everything has gone really well. However, one bud and the plants in the front showed slight signs of potassium overfertilization, which likely caused a calcium uptake issue and led to minor necrosis. No worries, though – today I completely flushed the entire system and replaced it with a fresh solution. With this reset, everything should be back on track 💪💧. On top of that, I decided to bring out an old Cree& Osram LED lamp as a booster. This will provide the two smaller front plants with more light intensity so they can metabolize the higher nutrient levels more effectively 💡🌿. Everything is looking great so far! Stay tuned, follow along, and let’s see how this journey continues 🌺📸. Woche 4-Update! 🌱 Woche 3 ist geschafft, und die Ladies sind jetzt drei Wochen in der Blütephase. Bis jetzt lief alles super. Eine Bud und die Pflanzen vorne zeigten jedoch leichte Anzeichen von Kalium-Überdüngung, was wahrscheinlich zu einer Kalzium-Aufnahmehemmung geführt und leichte Nekrosen verursacht hat. Kein Grund zur Sorge – heute habe ich das komplette System gründlich durchgespült und die Lösung durch eine frische ersetzt. Mit diesem Reset sollte jetzt wieder alles reibungslos laufen 💪💧. Außerdem habe ich beschlossen, eine alte Cree& Osram LED-Lampe als Booster herauszuholen. Damit bekommen die beiden kleineren Pflanzen vorne eine stärkere Lichtintensität, damit sie die höheren Nährstoffwerte besser verstoffwechseln können 💡🌿. Es sieht alles richtig gut aus! Journal de culture - Semaine 3 de croissance La plante a bien repris sa vigueur cette semaine, développant une belle masse racinaire, ce qui est très encourageant. Elle continue de se développer et je m’efforce de la maintenir la plus basse possible en utilisant des techniques de Low Stress Training. J’ai essayé le pinching, qui consiste à pincer légèrement les extrémités des branches pour les courber. Cela permet de rediriger les hormones de croissance vers les parties inférieures, ce qui maximise le développement des pousses. J’ai également effectué une légère défoliation en enlevant quelques grandes feuilles superflues. Pour le reste, je surveille principalement le pH. J’essaie de le maintenir autour de 5.8, mais avec les tampons présents dans les produits Terra Aquatica, il remonte régulièrement à 6.2. Je me demande si ce pH légèrement élevé pourrait être à l’origine d’un problème de coloration des feuilles, car la plante semble présenter une légère carence malgré la présence de tous les nutriments nécessaires. Je fais attention à ne pas ajouter trop d’acide afin de ne pas surcharger la solution nutritive. Globalement, la plante est en bonne santé et continue de bien évoluer. Je pense passer en floraison d’ici une ou deux semaines maximum. Étant donné qu’il s’agit d’une variété Jack Herer, qui a tendance à beaucoup s’étirer en floraison, je préfère la maintenir encore un peu en croissance pour travailler tranquillement avec les techniques de Low Stress Training et la défoliation. On verra son évolution la semaine prochaine ! 🇺🇸 Grow Diary - Week 3 of Veg The plant has regained its vigor this week, developing a strong root mass, which is great. It keeps growing, and I’m trying to keep it as low as possible using Low Stress Training techniques. I’ve been trying pinching, which involves lightly pinching the tips of the branches to bend them. This redirects the growth hormones to the lower parts, maximizing the development of new shoots. I’ve also done a bit of light defoliation by removing some large, unnecessary leaves. Other than that, I’m mainly monitoring the pH. I’m trying to keep it as close to 5.8 as possible, but the buffers in the Terra Aquatica products keep raising it to 6.2. I’m wondering if this slightly higher pH might be causing some discoloration on the leaves—it feels like a deficiency, even though all the necessary nutrients are present. I’m cautious about adding too much acid to avoid overloading the nutrient solution. Overall, the plant is healthy and continues to grow well. I’m thinking about switching to flowering in a week or two at most. Since this is a Jack Herer strain, which tends to stretch a lot during flowering, I want to keep it in veg a bit longer while working with Low Stress Training and defoliation.
