10/18, day 74 While only getting a tiny bit taller, the colas are bulking up, trichomes are developing, and the colors are amazing. She's so pretty! We're starting to take more stemmed leaves off in preparation for harvest, and they are ready to come off, with beautiful yellow fading. There are sooooo many reddish-orange hairs, and it seems most of the tops are being taken over by purples now. 10/21, day 77 Violet's leaves are turning brown and beginning to curl now. When looking at her trichomes, it seems there is not as much amber today as there was yesterday somehow. Every time we open the cabinet, it seems she has changed. 10/23 day 79 Violet has been exploding with trichomes the last couple of days, and I'm just like WOW!! Upon doing more research on trichomes and their development, I found an article that explains things so nicely (Link: https://www.greencultured.co/cannabis-trichomes-overview/ ) In this article, I learned about the three different types of trichomes: bulbous, capitate sessile, and capitate stalked. The stalked being the tall pretty ones we like to see, which also contain the most resin. At a certain point, the short sessiles develop into the stalked, increasing from 30% to 80-90%. This is kind of far down the article in the section titled "Latest Cannabis Trichome Research." It also explains that the stalked trichomes contain 16 cells while sessile trichomes only contain 8, so the stalked trichome explosion Violet has been having is doubling her medicinal value. I believe that her increasingly strong smell is a sign that this is good information, so I encourage you to check it out. I do not know them, nor have any arrangements with them, I really did just find the article that helpful. Oh, Violet, our time together is going to be over soon!!

The S.O.1 gets still only Water and calmag. I love how she turns purple now…I dont know is it about the Pheno Or that I did something right or wrong but i love it. The s.0.2 get now biobizz like plan. She is the biggest one with the Most Buds but also the smallest at all. S.0.3 is about Day 65 and i think my Favorit with S.0.1 I think the 1 one only Need one more week but the other two about two or three. I’m more than happy about my first grow ever and will run this strain again as my second run to get better Can’t wait to harvest woohoo

On the 13th day after the seeds were planted, I dropped an oscillating fan in the grow tent and spilled one of these Dosidos 33 out of her pot and onto the floor of the tent. I panicked and tried to pick up the little seedling and bits of soil and replace it in the pot as well as I could, but I was convinced I'd killed one of my plants. Within a couple days you wouldn't have known anything happened. I'm so glad she survived, because she grew into a beautiful purple plant that ended up finishing early.

Welcome to the Week 9 update for the Sweet Seeds Cream Mandarine XL Auto’s. This was an eventful week of the grow as I finally gave up on the first two plants suffering with the majority of the powdery mildew. Instead of wiping a single spot off of a leaf it had progressed to wiping multiple spots off of the majority of leaves. It was becoming super time consuming just trying to keep up with not further contaminating the tent. So after fighting the good fight but realizing it was now a losing battle- I decided to harvest the two smallest plants. They were pulled from the tent right at the end of Week 9 and placed in my garage for 3-5 days before they were actually chopped and trimmed in Week 10. My garage is not heated and the temperatures have been around 0-5 degrees celsius so both plants had some time to “chill out" before harvest. Not only did they reek stronger than ever but also seemed to produce additional resin after being exposed to the cold for a few days. I chose not to weigh the wet trimmed bud as it hasn’t amounted to much but after drying for 7-10 days it’s working out to be approximately 1 mason jar of nuggets per plant. I will provide final weights and better pictures of the bud in my final harvest update. Nothing much has changed for the remaining two plants except for drinking a little less water and the humidity has slowly been decreasing as Canada moves into winter. Until next time- stay safe, happy and high! 🇨🇦

20 Weeks Total 12 Flower Weeks Harvest HARVEST - 12 Weeks, 4 Days - 2022-11-21T20:00:00-0600 Today (chop) is the 14th day since moving to 18/6. The Foxtailing of the top flowers indicates 1) light stress, 2) Reveg . . .?
Even with 18/6 and TWO full weeks beyond week 10, I’d have waited another 7-10 days to ripen the Trichomes to my liking (>1/3 w/ vanishing abscission). As is - I know we’ve more mass - they’re both trichome laden - the smoke test will tell. Phenos #7 “Broader Leaved” demonstrated moderate inter-nodal spacing, stacking buds put to the terminal flower(s). Flowers started as tiny ‘sunbursts’ of pistols in the common form for broad leaved plants in general. She branched significantly more than I expected - the buds along each mainline cola are on a small stem that’s 1/2” - 3” long, with a 1.5” to 2” bud attached. The buds spiral up the cola, starting (with varying internal spaces) Ambassador Cartwright Ambassador Cartwright by IRIE Genetics Transition to Flower Afterglow X Arise (Clementine X Arise) X Arise -> Afterglow BX1? Another week growmies, closing the year with low stress training for the ladies. Managed to control the infestation of the fungus gnats I had at the beginning of the grow. With The sticky traps, I also added Diatomaceous earth on the top layer. Also I did another method, with water, soap & baking soda mixed in a small container.

Harvested the Clones! I'm stoked how #4 grew out, I think she's the winner! With limited space in my grow, I'm only going to be able to bloom out the rest of the phenos clones to week 3-4.. The show must go on.. It's the price I must pay for using non-ideal cloning methods... Next round of phenohunting will have 100% cloning success, using my new aeroponics cloning machine.

Grow diary 11 Stage 3 Days 21-30 Day 22 removed lowest nodes. I'm also thinking i may be overwatering. Day 24 eventually found my humidifier. Day 26 topped both colas. Day 30 training. The last 9 days have been fairly bad, around day 22 I thought the grow looked a little overwatered. This time I am using a home made ring to flood the pots, i didn't take into account that this ring lets out about 10 times the amount of water then the blue drippers. I cut the watering down and the she started to recover. She isn't the worst looking one out the 4 strains maybe the 3rd worse looking one. She is recovering better then the others. King tut is foxtailing, I had two hours where the temps got to 90 in the tent three days in a row. I've seen some others mention foxtailing on king tut in general. With the ROI-E680 a few people complained about foxtailing on the first couple grows. I turned the light down to 60% from 80 and the dehumidifier set on low so it would stop spiking the tent temp and keep the humidity in the 50s as best I can. Fingers crossed!
