So the second week begins for this lady. She is growing well and has been moved to her penultimate pot and has exploded since being transplanted! She was fed a half dose of Big Bloom to see how she would respond and seemed to have no issues with it. Im hoping she starts to catch up with the others! She has a curl to her first set of leaves (?) but otherwise looks real healthy.

retrospective: they both died of overwatering or lack of oxigen due to an owner thats thought it will be easy. put them under 15min/15min WET/DRY cycle they day they reached the floor of the pot. once while changing the water they were off for 1+hours, which may have hurt them severly, rootcolor never was the same after that from white to gray around these days..

Day 71 - Starting week 11 and this is most likely her last week, she might only make it till this weekend. She’s definitely plumped up and I haven’t seen a single clear trich anywhere, she’s about 90-10 milky to amber so I’d like her to get to about 25% amber before chopping. Gave her the last drink of water tonight and just letting her dry up from now until chop day. Day 73 - Just waiting another day or two for her to finish drying up and then she’ll get the chop. Leaves are really faded now and it’s making her flower colors pop. Pictures really don’t do any justice. Day 74 - Looks like I’m gonna give this girl another day or two before chopping, she doesn’t quite have the amber trichs I’m looking for yet.

30 September 2020 Sunset Sherbet Plant is growing very strong and the bottom 3 cola branches are being stress trained to all edges of the pot, this helps - with all the branches being exposed to the light and to grow the same height as the rest of the canopy. The stem is of this plant is growing really thick 🍑 about 1cm thick Leaves are big and strong reaching ( 15,5cm length ) My experience with growing Sunset Sherbet so far ( Week 6 Day 2 ) This strain from Cape Ape Seeds is actually so good, just the plant itself is a bright lime green and the nugs it will carry is going to be Frosty Purple❄️💜 nugs. By growing this beautiful strain so far it has grown very healthy and just in general very fast, this plant has no problems so far and all it wants to do is continue growing. Do-Si-Wine The Do-Si-Wine is growing very well, a very moderate growth as it says in it’s subscription, but none the less still a very grow so far. The bottom 4 colas are all stress trained to the edges of the pot to ensure each branch from each cola gets to grow outwards in its own space and to get more light. The stem is about 0.7cm thick which is not that thick compared to the SunSet Sherbet. While writing this I noticed my she has SNAPPED from her previous stress straining session, I was checking out the stem thickness and noticed the main stem had snapped. But luckily this is not the first this happened and I know how to fix this. To fix this all you need is some tape, now see if the plant didn’t completely break off you can still tape the plant back together and the plant should heal itself within a few days, although I need to wait a bit before I stress train this one again. She started making pistols🤗, but I’m not sure if this is because of the snap or if it’s getting ready to start blooming. All the side branches from the bottom 4 colas are all nice and long growing at a nice rate. The leaves are nice and strong reaching ( 11cm in length ) My experience from growing Do-Si-Wine 🎶🍷 from Cape Ape Seed seed bank is very good so far, on the site it says moderate growth difficulty and it is quite accurate compared to the Sunset Sherbet’s easy growth difficulty, it’s quite fun working with a moderate growth because the plant needs more tending to, for instance the side branches are thinnish and need to be stress trained often to reach the end of the pot, the plant is also very stiff because she snapped without me realising and had to tend to the break a day later. Also while growing this plant I noticed that the plant’s leaves are very dark green and the bud it’s going carry is going to be white so I can’t wait to see how she makes her buds.

Harvest time for Divine storm. Not much to say about this strain, except this is my last time growing it. July 11 update, 84 grams dry weight. Same taste and smell as before, a wine taste with a bit of fruit.

Both are still growing healthy beautiful buds but like the rest of the tent, they were a little burned this week. I dimmed down the light. That helped with the temperature as well.

How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. Out of the 5 plants the gelato spirited and flowered quicker than the other 4 gorilla glue plants even though it was planted a week later. From start to finish I didn’t have one problem with this strain and was shocked by the colas developing on the plants even from early flower. I’m not surprised this is one of fastbuds most powerful strains and it’s a pleasure to grow! The yield I admit isn’t the greatest bud the bud that it produced was some what close to phenotypes. Would definitely recommend this strain, not the biggest yielded but a pleasure to experience growing. Would grow again without a doubt but for now going to have a fat joint of gelato & gorilla glue. Popped 20 seeds and all seemed to be fine. I encountered a problem with one of the pink kush seeds. It seems to be sprouting with a very small root and it released itself from its seed shell in the paper towel. It died I have tasted all the strains except the G 13 Haze. So i hope to get 1 or 2 good plants. Especially from the Pink kush and orange sherbert. 10x Pink Kush, 5x Orange Sherbert, 2x Cookies Kush, 2x G13 Haze and 1x Utopia Haze. Growing in biobizz Coco mix. Using a soil nutrient for the first week or two
