Week 3 update and all systems go for launch. We’re flipping to flower exactly 21 days from seed and so far, the mix looks to be impressive. Counting about 4 males (one that won’t make the cut), 2 indica leaning phenos and the rest are sativa leaning. Side branching has also been impressive so we should be able to pull some rootable cuts within the next week or two. If we got the sexes right (it is a little early to be certain), then the dutchy cabinet will be full up for bud testing👍. Next week will tell the tale🤟. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts. Thankfully these girls have been completely self-sufficient until now. She is much prettier than she was a week ago :) I remembered that I have my first grow light, which is more compact and it will give me more space, so I changed my light, now the girl's side branches get light too:) I add a lot of video memes, because I really want to win Iphone16 pro ;) and those who don't take risks don't drink champagne:) good luck to everyone.

week 4 of flowering and nugs have gotten some size.

Tutto questo non sarebbe possibile se non ci fosse la luce Mars hydro che mi dà la possibilità di avere la stessa intensità di luce, e si vede con la crescita uniforme della ragazza ,nonostante la pianta sia relegata in un piccolo spazio di lato! All went well this week, apart from my phmeter breaking... I guess more two weeks of waiting. The colas are well developed, but the lower flowers ain't. But both are full of tricomes.

Started trimming a few leaves blocking bud sites and continued to tie down tallest growth. I’ve never used LST to this extent, but I’m a disciple now. Tremendous shape creating space for new growth still. At this point, I learned about the importance of dark hours for bud growth. In case it helps someone: flower growth and later, thc, is boosted and triggered by dark time. During veg for an auto, go full blast with lights. But those flowers boost at night to protect themselves from harsh UV daylight. Swear to God, after months of reading journals and articles, I didn’t realize that until recently.

Started 3 days ago from clone. Started LST today, also removed lower branches to encourage growth.

This was a brilliant week for plant growth, with some side branches over doubling their height. I added the ScrOG net at the beginning of the week and began some more intensive training. The LST only plants I pretty much just continued to bend. The topped & LST'd plants I removed some of the lower bud sites that were not getting any light. I also removed a few awkward fan leaves that could not be tucked away. The addition of the net has helped with this though, as keeping the canopy even is much easier with the support it gives. I also decided not to try any further cuts on the (half) mainlined auto's. My reasoning is that they have developed strong, independent colas already, so cutting for more would not see much gain. The plants had also begun to flower on the night I went to perform the second cut, and my growing experience tells me not to mess with flowering plants too much so here we are. I gave the plants one regular watering of 10L pH'd water, and a 20L nutrient mix using the ratios stated above. All volumes were split equally between the plants. The scrawny looking blue critical has perked up a heck of a lot, so the weakest looking plant is the LST only on GSC. ZThe strongest plants by far are the ones that have been topped and LST'd, closely followed by the mainlined ones. LST only is definitely great, but it is clearly lagging behind the other two techniques.

Man oh man,without noticing I just found a new favorite strain man.Love the strong fruity and floral aroma coming from these flowers I can't wait to grow her Photoperiod version,it's been a pleasure to grow her,unfortunately I lost her four sisters,I would love to get a lot of full jars of this amazing haze 👃🔝🔝💚

Flowering has really taken off. Kolas are thickening up and smelling amazing... The plants are still a little short. I think I may have stunted them in veg, possibly by giving them some bloom nutrients too early. Was a recommendation from "Mr. Canuck's Grow" (not sure that it was a good one).... Brewing a fungal-dominated compost tea for flower rn, going to administer tomorrow and show the results next week... also trellis didn't make much difference with the uneven canopy, maybe I installed it too late 🤷‍♂️

7/29/2023 - Day 25 veg: still small for her age, but she is starting to pick up some speed. Between a watering issue, and the lack of nutrients in the starter soil, I think that is why I'm off to a slow start. Decided it's time to transplant. Chopped and dropped the earthbox last week, so she is ready to go. Hopefully, the transplant into the Earthbox will help speed up the growth. Overall she looks happy and healthy. For the transplant, I sprinkled Dynomyco on the roots, and watered in with Silica, Calmag, Rootwise Micro Complete, Rootwise Bio-Catalyst, and some Fermented Comfrey Extract. Water had a 6.2 ph. 7/30/2023: just a quick update today. She took to the transplant great and is not showing any shock. 8/1/2023 - Day 28 veg: she finally looks like she is starting to grow faster. 8/2/2023: foiler fed with 5.8 ph water, mixed with Jay Plantspeaker Quillaja 60, calmag, silica, BuildASoil Big 6, and Pure Protein Dry. 8/4/2023 - Day 31 Veg: watered with about .75 gallons of compost tea. The tea was made with BuildASoil BuildAFlower, Bat Guano, Seabird Guano, Neem Cake, and Molasses. Foiler fed with this as well.
