Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Chopped the Gorilla Glue. I definitely think I stunted it a bit with the HST, which cracked the main stem open. Also, while learning how to water properly. Hey now, hope everyone is having a safe weekend. I currently have the Spectrum X running at 100% power and have upped the time on the UV/IR bars to 90 minutes just prior to lights off. I am super happy with this light so far, she puts out impressive PAR, and runs fairly cool. The only thing I would change is to have individual timers for the different spectrums. I did hear from another grower that Medic Grow does sell a controller that has this feature for $300. Not much to do this week other than keep the reservoir full and in the correct PH range. The tomatoes outside are absolutely loving the runoff from these autos, as that is all they have had to drink since they were about 3 weeks old. Welcome to week 8 of flower!! Things are really starting to get heavy and loaded in frost! I will be checking the trichomes this week to see what plants are nearing the end and which ones will still need a bit more time to mature and finish. To say the least Im very excited to get to the finish line with these ladies! She’s soooo freaking heavy when I take her off the yo-yo hangers she just flops Down like a a wilted sunflower 🌻😂 I can’t wait to watch her finish

Fifth week of flowering

Growth: The ladies are 29 days old today(#5 23 days) and are all shooting pistils. #5 just popped her first pistils. I think they are starting their stretch. I upsized pots this run so i hope the ladies will fill their pots. Training: This week ive been a little rough with training. I had #5 tied down on day 19 and broke off a few nodes of the top. She didnt seem to mind, i guess you can top this strain early on with great results. Day 19 is way too late so im not not getting my hopes up. In the pictures you can see the difference from day 19 and today. I also broke a branch on #1 but was fixed with some tape. Nutrients: Canna Terra Vega 1.5ml/L next feeding 2ml/L Rhizotonic 2ml/L foliar feeding 2x p/week Cannazym 2.5ml/L 1x p/week. Happy growing!✌️🤘🌱

First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. This big, beautiful healthy girl has switched to flower. Cooler night time temps are yielding some red streaks on her stems. Excited to see what these flowers will look like. She smells fabulous! She was given some Coast of Maine 5-2-4 around her base yesterday, and I have some BT arriving tomorrow to thwart those pesky inchworms.
