Plant growing phenomenally really filled out the entire net and ready to let her grow up for the next week or two. Making tea as of today May 31st. Tea is made of worm castings, a little craft blend, a little big 6, and some blackstrap molasses. I plan on watering her with this tea starting June 1st. I added some European night crawlers today. They looked dead when I got them but I added them to the pot and everyone disappeared so evidentially they are still kicking. Pot already has red wigglers for topsoil aeration these guys will help aerate deeper in the root zone It’s been 7 days since flip. It needs a defoliation but I always wait at least 14 days especially in living soil. I’ll do a heavy defoliation at day 14 and likely another smaller one on day 42. Really looking forward to see how this thing flowers. Really interesting strain. Picked it up from a really legit lab in Michigan. They have tissue cultures for most cannabis cup winners; this strain is a bit of a no namer though. Seems like it was bred by a gentlemen known as kick flip genetics, looking at his cuts he clearly has access to high quality genomes, must be a reason this lab decided this was worth producing. I’ll find out God bless Edit June 1st: Noticed what could be some PM on a singular lower leaf likely due to humidity in the 70s so decided to do a pretty heavy defoliation. Did a lollipop for the first time ever. With lower leaf mass being removed the humidity is sitting around 55 now. Interested to see if the lollipop actually pushes energy to those top buds. I hate to do a defoliation at this point in flower(7 days into stretch) but she’s got plenty of leaves left and should recover quick God bless

After the trichomes have been checked (70% milky 30% amber) as always, it was left in complete darkness for 48 hours before it was neatly trimmed by hand. After trimming, she was put back in the drying tent on nets. There they are allowed to dry for the next 8-12 days at 62% humidity before they are put into the jar to ferment with 62% boveda packs. After about 4-6 weeks in the jar I will swap the 62% boveda pack for a 58% boveda pack where it can be ready for another 4-6 weeks to enjoy :-). As always, the remains of the leaves are used to make Ice o Lator and oil. Of course, as always, there is a final update during the fermentation process. 4 weeks cure buds@54% RH Smoke report: Smooth smoke, at inhale we got a subtle sweetness rolling over the back of the tongue with under it a slight herby flavor, immediate a warmness goes to the head Then the pine/herbs taste start to take the lead at the exhale which is very pronounced.

These gals are doing fantastic! Smell is really starting to come out now, smells like a very strong citrus pine 👌🙌 Switched them to full strength flowering nutes and they're doing pretty well. I probably should have transitioned them a little earlier but a little stress doesn't hurt, they're growing just fine! Heat is also an issue but they'll manage 😅 8-4-18 :: Largest plant's bucket got empty on accident; Filled a 15gallon reservoir of full strength nutes and pumped the solution into the bucket as always. Next day my largest plant is dying and the other two are fine, looks like lockout. Flushed for a day and then added nutes, no improvement.. Orange pistils are appearing pretty fast on it too as if it's trying to ripen but not grow. My heart is broken😰 UPDATE: Realized I was an idiot and didn't plug up the holes I drilled into the top of the buckets (I stick a hose in there to fill them up) and the roots were exposed to light.

I’ve been flushing the plants for a week now. The colas have definitely gotten fatter from last week. It’s looking like I’ll be harvesting in 1 more week. Pretty much all the trichomes are milky and I’m starting to get amber ones.

Well I’m closing this one out. I had a lot of problems with humidity outside and bud rot, in hindsight i read a few reviews in the last few weeks and purple kush is susceptible to bud rot. I did 2 separate harvest, one on the 9th and one on the 14th. I collected everything I could smoke, there is still buds left on the plants but because of bud rot and immature buds I’m saying fuck it. Sonoma seeds quotes 9-10 weeks flower i harvested at week 8 and week 9. I harvested just shy of a pound total, and just over and oz of “purple” looking weed. Between you guys and i, the purple one was pretty shwaggy as far as bud goes. Would i grow this again outdoors? NOPE. Would i try it indoors? You will have to stay tuned for my next grow. If you plan to grow this strain outdoors do not do it. The fact that it’s pretty much 100%indica it does not like to get wet,🤦‍♂️🏻 if you are in the desert, indoors or live in Afghanistan (lineage) go for it. The taste is also not quite what I expected, all the reviews say grapes, but i taste a neutral taste. Some of it smells quite good in the jars but as soon as you smell each bud it smells like spicy woody herb with some dank undertone. Trimming it i had some sort of dank spicy smell i just can’t put my fingers on, except it was all over them. The buzz is “ok”but nothing to knock your socks off with. It is a stimulating feeling followed by a calm “not sleepy” feeling. I haven’t grown many outdoor variety’s but I’m sure most of them turn out the same. I’m waiting for my indoor no name to finish and I can start trying to redeem myself with my leftover seeds, and hopefully get the true quality/if there is, with this purple kush strain. I had bad luck, or beter I didn’t keep the rain out of the structure. So unfortunately the lady’s did get wet! We had a lot of rain after a great summer. I think if I didn’t had rotten flowering 800 gram per plant was normal yield! It is a great plant verry easy to grow and a big yield! I like the seeds of high-Seeds! Its a great supplier! This year a couple of diverent lady’s! Whit a new growhouse.

Die Woche war okay die Pflanze scheint sich langsam wieder zu fangen und an die neue Lampe gewöhnt zu haben sie ist nun in der ersten Blüte Woche d.h. nur noch 12 Stunden Licht am Tag leider ist mir und einem Freund die Tage aufgefallen dass irgendwelche Viecher im Boden rumkriechen von Trauermücken die Larven vermuten wir jedenfalls habe ich heute Nematoden hinzugefügt das sind kleine Tiere die ins Gies Wasser gemischt werden und die die Mücken und schlafen töten. Ich hoffe dadurch wird sie wieder ein wenig stabiler wobei ich sagen muss sie sieht jetzt nicht schlimm aus wie man den Bildern entnehmen kann aber sicher ist sicher.
