dear grow community, I report back with the fifth week of my Northern light auto grow. This week my plants have started to flower. They have grown extremely well and I have a lot of fun taking care of them. I have now stopped using LST as I want the plants to grow upwards. I have also changed my fertilizer. I also changed my sodium vapor lamp from veg to flower. I'm looking forward to see my babies flower and hopefully produce big buds. I just wanted to say that I am extremely satisfied with the strain so far, it is a strong genetics and has responded very well to LST. best wishes absolutgrow Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Hey peeps! I have now started lowering the nutrients and the PPM is 1200 on average but I intend on lowering it in the next couple of days in order to start flushing her later next week. She keeps popping out bud sites all over the bottom even though we did trim her in the first couple weeks. I have decided that, when I do harveserst her, i'm going to harveerst her in three stages to maximise the yeild and get that light to the lower small bud sites over the next couple of weeks. Let me know what you think!

Runoff ph is a bit high this time. Don’t know why. Around 6.8. Average ph going in is 6.0. Also the big fan leaves on ice cream cakes are kind of strange shaped. Will see how they are going to look later.

It was finally time to harvest her, what good times we had with her. Amazed with how beautiful this plant is, how easy to manage and train and how rewarding Orange Hill Special is. So we said our thanks and goodbye, thanked her for all the joy she gave while growing her. I realize more and more how I love growing them even more than the end-product. It takes my mind of all going on for a while, in my miniature jungle world in the attic. Im sure all of you just sometimes sit there and watch them, in wonder, dreaming away with a good buzz on, watching them wave in the wind of the fans. So with a heavy hart I apologize, play them their last music, sit with them and feel them and smell them, watch the glistening of the cristals. In the end we had 209 gram dried Orange Hill Special, I will know the total of the grow, in a few days, since the final big whopper still has to dry: my XtraKush, be sure to check the harvest of that one *in couple of days) and see a one-dollar seed outperform two 10 dollar seeds. I probably go over 500 grams for the total grow, which would be 1.6 grams per watt. Big success! Consider an SP-3000 for your next light, you won't be disappointed! Check www.mars-hydro.com for the latest discounts! Thank you @MarsHydroLED for letting us try out your light, it made this successful grow possible! Greetings and all the best! Thank you to our friends here, our followers and the whole Growing Diaries community for just being there. Big Hug, Sunshine and BioBuds

I was pleasantly surprised by the yield from these 2. Plant #1 (back left this grow) yielded a whopping 4.79 ounces, my 2nd biggest producer this grow! #2 yielded 3.57 ounces, which while the lowest of the 4, is still an extremely respectable yield for a single plant in a 4 plant tent! Especially one that received as little attention as this one did. #2 remained resilient the entire grow, however due to the placement of my tent received the least amount of attention/defoliation, which is consistent with its yield. #1 was more easily accessible, and while it did have cal mag & ph issues early on, still received significant defoliation and care, hence the larger yield. Overall very happy with this strain, I have 3 of these seeds on hand, so there’s a good chance you’ll see another Critical Orange Punch diary from me in the future! Thanks again to everyone for their comments, advice, and support! I’ll be starting a new grow/diary in a few weeks, so keep an eye out! Until then, happy growing!!

Hi all😁 Hope everyone keeping well. So far everything going very good. Girls are developing very well. Will keep updating each week progress🍌💜👊 every couple of days. Have a wonderful week brothers and sisters. ✌️💚 Light setting 20 watts 16/10 day 8 Introduction of root juice and fish shit. I hope girls will like this starter dish. 18/10 day 10 Girls are developing very well. Second watering with approx 250ml per pot on entire surface. 20/10 day 12 Everything going as planned. Steady development. Another watering of same as on the 18th. Except watering I am spraying soil surface with water every few hours. 22/10 day 14 I would called a perfect week. Athena it's a bit faster than Xena in early growth but this early faster development means nothing. Xena it's a princess warrior anyway so all good 😂😎 Really enjoying this early growth 😁 Wish everyone a great week coming! Peace and love brothers and sisters ✌️💚
