Flowering day 34 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) The buds have developed incredibly nicely this week. The smell is getting more and more extreme :-) . The growth has slowly stopped as the full energy goes into the production of the buds. Watering was done twice this week, each time with 1.2 l (nutrients see table above) They were individually inspected and checked for their health. Now that the plant has started flowering, I defoliated the excess leaf, focusing on apical buds. But unfortunately after defoliation and pressing the lst unfortunately plant b5 breaks the stem in its main apical bud. I was very sad but in life we have to learn from mistakes and stop complaining since the other 4 plants show good growth and vigor we will move on trying to minimize the errors.

Nurturing My Cannabis Plants: Balancing Light and Protection In the first half of the day, I place my seedlings on a south-facing windowsill to ensure they catch some light. During the evening hours, they travel back to my balcony. This routine helps them get the light they need while staying safe from pests. Protecting My Plants: A Grower's Dilemma I'm hesitant to leave them outside permanently because, unfortunately, all my other vegetables have been eaten by snails. I certainly don't want the same fate for my precious cannabis plants. For now, they’re enjoying a mix of south windowsill and balcony life, which seems to be working well. First Watering: Preparing for Growth Once the coco mix dries out, they will receive their first feeding. Terra Aquatica Tripart is my nutrient trio of choice. I'll start with a half-dose, as recommended by the feeding chart, to ensure they don’t get nutrient burn. First Feeding: A New Stage My ladies seemed to enjoy their sleepover in the greenhouse. Now it's time for their first feeding. I added Cal-Mag to achieve an EC of 0.5 mS/cm to start with. I gave them a half-dose of nutrients as described in the chart and watered with enough runoff.

So the last cups I had them in had no drainage, and i think they were damping off or dying. So I did a pretty rough transplant to new soil and cups I probably stunted them but let’s see what happens. Day 10: So wow a lot can happen in a few days, they grew a bit one of the NL seems like it’s the same size, 2nd NL is not doing too bad. The lemon Larry is going through it right now, might’ve been heat stress I can’t think of anything else that can cause that

Harvested two of the plants for fresh frozen bubble hash. Total for the hash wash is 900 grams of starting material so I should get about 30 grams of high quality rosin. The third and biggest plant has yet to be weighed but will update once the dry?cure is finished

I removed the bottom shoots to allow the energy to flow to the top buds. This week it was watered 3 times with 1.3 l each (nutrients see table above) Otherwise everything was cleaned and checked. Day 22: Honestly didn't think I would have made it this far. The girls are looking great minus a couple of issues. I have over watered them and over fed too! Not to mention trying to LST too early. I will wait a bit longer before watering this time. Day 23: MORNING - They were super dry. I have been over watering a bit so I watered maybe 1/2 gallon for all 6. I also did some more LST and took 1 large fan leaf off of each plant. I will update again before lights out. Day 23: NIGHT - The girls are responding very well to the LST. I don't think they are liking the 80°. I am starting to have issues with lower humidity again. I need to try and figure some sort of ducting out or possibly even get a small AC unit for the grow room. Day 24: MORNING - I removed a couple more leaves that were covering potential bud sites. I have also done a partial main-line on the smallest girl. It looks to be already showing pistols. I've had to open the tent with a big fan blowing directly in with the humidifier behind it. The girls were getting hot and dry. Day 24: NIGHT - Well 5 are showing to be female. The biggest plant is showing no signs of sex. I am guessing it will be the mystery seed. I will be doing no more LST to these ladies for at least a week or better. I think I have stressed them out enough the past 2 days. Day 25: These girls are very resilient!! I tortured them all weekend and the one I nopped off to do a sort of mainline grew by 20% at least. Day 26: It is the official 3 week mark today and the girls are starting to flower. I tied em down to get light to all bud sights. I will 100% not touch them unless they need it from this point!!!! They are soo small and I need not stunt them any more!! I have removed the Mystery Seed as it looks to be a male and I do not want to take the chance!! Also fed and watered today. Only 200 ppm for the feed. Day 27: Nothing new to report. These girls are gonna be tiny :| I must've stressed em too much too soon :( Looking good though I think! 💪 Day 28: I never do what I say. Dumb! Broke main stem on one of the best plants. Taking it as a lessons learned. It's been two hours and she looks SICK! Oh well.

RSV11 is still making progress. She had a second neem oil treatment on last update. I dunno if the pests are gone. If not. I will try a Insecticide soap. Most critters can't survive neem oil or keep reproducing. Why I never spray it in flowering. So I gotta make sure it's resolved before flowering. She should be reaching maturity soon. This was a fun project that was a few years in the making and a year later to see if they would last a season for this upload to happen. Before any of this I would bike aorund town grabbing up all the old Ikea solid pine bed slats that I could find and storing them in the basement. I have a lot of wood down there, any size worked as long as I have enough of them. The hot days to find them were the first and last of the months because that's when people where moving in/out. I also kept an eye on the free section on local online classifieds as well. The entire purpose of this was to recycle as much off the streets as I could before buying anything to finalize the project. In the end I only bought sealer, screws and some takeaway/beers. All the wood was 100% free and salvaged off the streets of Toronto saving it from the dumpster bin. After collecting all the slats for about 2 years I was playing aorund with them on how I wanted to make this work. I had previously done a little project like this before but I messed it up and the boxes where crap. did not last longer then 2 seasons, they where thin and shallow as well could not grow much of anything in them. I Was talking to my friend who is renovating their house and we brainstormed some ideas on the boxes, I found some designs I liked online and said lets make something like this out of what I have here. We tossed out a few of the design features when looking at them as it would have been wasted wood and extra work not needed. If I had more wood them maybe it could have been an option but simple was the name of the game. They taught me what I needed to know like how the miter saw and sander worked, plus all the other tools I was using. They did help out with a table saw and creating the triangle support joints in the corners, They used some pine left overs they had while making a staircase indoors. I did not feel up to the task of using a table saw given all the relatives I know who have lost a finger to them. In the end we decided the design would be three boards high and take an alternating pattern on corners. layer one short, layer 2 long, layer 3 short. Went with a galvanized and painted deck screw so it can take the weathering. Ran into some problems like making everything level as some of the boards were warped and other ones had undesired aspects like knots and tacky sticker goo I could not remove. So I used them for the base that will not been seen so much. Clamped everything down and called it a day. Once it was all done and over with, I then brought them back home from my buddies work garage and started to seal them. I went with a boiled linseed oil as its a food safe option should the wood degrade into the soil I will plant in them. I will need to reapply it to the boxes year after year but the main coat is the most important one and I put it on 3 layers with a good dry in between coats. the inside of the boxes that where coated did not degrade at all as the sun did not hit them so it will not need a new coat just the outside. Overall the end result was very impressive for myself, I've never taken a woodworking class ever and It was a near perfect outcome for me. Heavy Duty Planter Boxes for all my gardening needs. I made a last min decision to add in a plastic liner to preserve the wood even longer and stapled that into the frame. it has held up quite well and may need replacing end of 2nd or 3rd year out in the sun.
