Week 9 is here and we are looking at harvesting! After checking the trichomes of just the top colas, I decided this week I was going to harvest. I am updating this post after I have dried and harvested the plant so do not have much more details. I flushed the plant this week with Flora Kleen along with terpinator and microbes. I cut down the plants and hung them up in the tent to dry using a clothes hanger with clips I got off of Amazon. It took 10 days to dry the bud and my temps and humidity would fluctuate throughout the day and night. I stayed in the mid to low 70s for temperature and humidity was at 50% at first. Then I added a humidifier and had it dry in 60% humidity. Will update the rest in the harvest update.

The plats are not been trained, defoliated or anything, grown naturally. I’m blown away how fast this plants are growing. First time outdoors and the experience is very nice, I love the fact it requires little to no effort, in the setup I have chosen. As it is raining a lot, I’m using only a dry amendment I have built to use on them periodically, this way I’m not adding more liquids to the root system that is already highly saturated, essentially I’m using the following recipe update, I don’t know if it is correct but I live it all mixed. Use about a table spoon and a half every 15 days. - Azomite 500g - Natural fosfate 500g - Biochar 1kg - Bokashi 1kg -Kelp meal 500g -Mamona meal 1kg -chicken meal 1kg -Potassium silicate 500g -Gypsum farm 500g -Diatomaceous earth 500g -Bunny guano 300g -Bat guano 1kg -Oyster shell powder 1kg -Cow blood meal 1kg -Cow bones powder meal 1kg. -Wormcastings, spare use not in the mix. The plants are showing good coloring, no fade and no deficiencies, the green is not to deep, nor too light. As the leafs are taking a lot of water and strong sun and wind, the leafs are feeling a bit. As the wind is high since day 1 the stems are very resistant, strong. The Fastberry Is on the smaller size if compared to the other plants, together with the Banana purple punch, then we have the Bluedream and the CBD crack on the larger sizes thriving a lot, I expect to approach the end of flowed in a few weeks, the girls are very fast indeed. I’m looking forward to collect the fruits :)

Woche 1 der Blüte ist ein Traum. Die Ladys haben alle eine gute Höhe erreicht und haben schöne Blütenansätze entwickelt. Hier hatte es recht wenig geregnet und die Sonne kam auch recht regelmäßig durch. Mitte der Woche hatte es etwas geregnet, so das ich nicht gießen musste. Der Topf hatte durch Tagestemperaturen um die 22-25°C nicht das Problem das das Substrat austrocknet und zu nass war es auch nicht. Ich hatte einmal die Oberfläche angefeuchtet und den Ladys sonst nur beim wachsen zugeschaut und mich gefreut💚 Also wirklich eine sehr entspannte Woche. Hier und da ein paar einzelne Blattläuse abgesammelt. Es waren in der ganzen Woche vielleicht 10 Stück. Also hat sich die Pflege auch in Grenzen gehalten. Falls es mit den Blattläusen stark zunehmen sollte, werden ein paar Nützlinge in den Kampf geschickt. Ein zwei Blätter mussten entfernt werden weil ein kleiner Thrips etwas Schaden angerichtet hat. I harvested 24 cuttings from the White Shark mom this week, which was the first time she donated! She recovered fully within a few hours. Some ongoing maintenance pruning/training on deck for later this week. The 2 new moms (XXL & 8 Ball) are looking beautiful. I’ll be topping them soon to start working on structure.

Weather is getting a bit better this week. Almost no rain anymore and much more sun comparing to last week. Blueberry Ghost OG and Kali AK still don't want to start flowering, but they slowed down from growing taller at least, so there are hope of they to start flowering soon (hopefully).

one more week up we go, and after intruducing the AC to the Girls, and rase some of them up closer to the ligth ( i did this because the most of my SG are 3 phingers from the ligth lol, so bringing the ligth down was not an option )now i realize that the BB and the AP are showing some spots on the older leaves with i think it migth be nutrients problem, so i'm intruducing Calmag Agent and see how they react. Appart from that they all look amazing, the smell is starting to show off in all of them, it's like a rainbow of fruity smels with a sweet taste going from one strein to another, so far the one i think is the winer in tha smel factor is the PG, man, she's becoming and amazing white frosty smly litle plant <3 the same is happening to all of her siters in my litle love garden. Day 49. Experienced some deficiencies this past week but I've upped the nutrients and I'm gonna see if that helps. Still seeing a lot of growth. Did another defoliation. DLI is still at 45. PPFD 610. Plant is still growing and roots are bigger. I'll count this as a win for now.

So here’s Week 2 of the Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl XL Auto’s grow. All in all an easy week but there has been time spent reinforcing a couple of the seedlings because they are so top heavy. I check in on my seedlings at least once a day (oftentimes 2-3 times daily) just to make sure that all equipment is functioning well and temps are stable. Upon looking into the windows of the tent I discovered that the smallest seedling (the one that lost one of it’s cotyledon leaves) was tipped right over. I gently supported her with a homemade splint (a tent peg/pipe cleaner combo- pictured above) and she’s currently standing on her own again. She’s still smaller than the others but surviving, not thriving for now. I used some fresh additional soil to fill in any gaps and pack down around the bases of the other three plants’ stems. Speaking of stems/stalks- the three healthy seedlings have peeling/stretching stalks and are starting to push out their first sets of branches. Other than that, same routine as always- watering every fourth day at 1.4 litres per watering or 0.35 of a litre per plant per day. I will be increasing the water sometime over week three. That’s it for now. Mom’s Tip for Week #2- Don’t Over Water! (when growing in soil of course)… When learning to read your plant’s needs, water is a very important factor to consider. I often notice other growers with tiny seedlings sitting in completely saturated pots of soil. Or read that many other growers don’t believe in placing newly sprouted seedlings into their final containers/pots. Both issues being easily resolved by simply paying close attention to your plant’s body language, it’s grow environment and sticking to a schedule. Cannabis truly thrives and benefits from a wet to almost fully dry watering cycle. From my own personal experience with photosensitive strains grown outside in the summer to growing autoflowers indoors through the fall, winter and spring- all of my Cannabis seems to do best when watered every 4th day like clockwork! This schedule is somewhat subjective of course depending on the environment that you are growing in. Here in Canada, much of our year is cool to cold and the humidity is relatively low. Because of this my plants are not always able to take in moisture from the air through their stomas so they suck up more water from what’s readily available in their pots. In other environments (ex. tropical), you may be able to stretch out this cycle- watering every 5-7 days because your plants are pulling so much water directly from the humidity in the air. And how you water your plants matters too. When starting out with newly sprouted seedlings placed into their final containers- less is more. There is no need to completely soak all of the soil in a 5-7 gallon pot. Simply start with a small amount (0.5-1 litre) directing the water to the base of the plant, working your way outwards in a circular pattern. As you increase the amount of water, I try to work my water outwards- making my circle slightly bigger each time I water until eventually I am soaking the soil surface all the way out to the edges of the pot. This process is gradual, stretched over a period of 4-6 weeks. It will encourage the roots to reach for water and allow your plants the time needed to grow into a heavy dose of H2O. Finally, learning to read your plant’s body language will help you to understand when they need and don’t need water as well as food, more/less light, temperature changes, etc. Healthy, well watered plants are generally light green with leaves slightly turned up towards the light/sun. They will be growing/thickening every day and able to support their own weight even in a very breezy environment. Leaves are soft and supple, not dry and brittle and there are usually no marks or discolouration of any kind on the foliage throughout your grow. Water quality is important too but that’s any entirely different tutorial for another time. Bountiful harvests are very possible by simply tweaking your watering schedule to suit your plants’ ultimate needs.

This was the topped gorilla cookies got to say I will do this strain again produced some nice size buds could of been a bit more dense but for a wet weight of 431g wet weight I’m happy with this one 4 down 2 to go thanks for viewing

Mandarin XL auto is doing good. I had to give tge solution a nutrition boost early week. It just was not strong enough for her. She is doing good. She is ready for a solution change very soon. I was hoping she would start transitioning first to go to blooming nutrition. Everything is looking good beside that nutrition problem. All looking healthy the one strawb banana that didn’t germ ended up sprouting out the soil but I think the shrooms claimed the soil first my bad fast buds smashing it as usual 🤟giving them 24hrs of darkness trying to harden them off for outdoor end of this week hopefully waiting on last bits to arrive for the soil

Hoy le tocaría riego, pero como mañana es la cosecha, la dejo con 24 horas de estrés hídrico. Día 91 (06/01/2024) Al final cosecharé un día más tarde. Los tricomas están prácticamente perfectos, con la mayoría nublados y alguno ámbar Día 92 (07/01/2024) Día de la cosecha! 😍💥💨😁 Peso húmedo 150 Increíble rendimiento para 92 días desde semilla, y con el estrés hídrico de los dos últimos días Ahora comenzamos el proceso de secado (7-10 días) donde pondré la semana de la cosecha, y posterior curado (+30 días), tras lo que tendremos el informe de humo Gracias a todos los que estais al otro lado de este diario!
