As you can see, I don't do heavy defoliation on my plants as I think it's not natural to shock them like that. I don't give a flying f@ck about yield. My philosophy is turned towards good flavors before all and I like to follow plants development in more natural way when comes to defoliation. I believe that plant will always adapt and focus on where energy comes from, and in indoor grows we all know that bottoms will get bleachy as we enter late flowering. On the other side, nobody wants mids and small buds, so yes, of course I remove bottoms, but only first few nodes and not in a way of lollipopping or something like that. I'm just trying to be in balance with natural process of plant development at all times. I'm not saying defoliation is wrong, but since I never grow the same cultivar twice, it's way safer to observe their natural behaviour, instead of forcing techniquies other growers are claiming to be "the best". With that being said, my plants are exploding from happiness, as you can see. I got two of more indica leaning phenotypes and two taller - more sativa alike specimens. But all have a distinctive OG structure and smell is getting super intense. It smells diesel and chem like no run before. It's the reason why I'm growing it in the first place. And what better way to try out the true OG than from the original creators of White Fire OG. Yes. If you didn't know Terence and Philip, in collab with Rascal, the real OG's, also known as Payaso and Cannabis Gardener, are behind the legendary OG cross and all the rest are just white labeling this famous cross. Know your genetics, brothers and sisters. There are too many copycats out there, so try to show respect to the origins. Noone can make a patent on a certain cultivar, but we as consumers, need to know who are we going to support in the future. Breeding is art and I like to pay respect to those who actually do the work of breeding. Just look at the Blue Dream for instance. Do we actually know who stands behind this cross and who has the original tissue of this genetics? Ask Google a little bit, dig in, and you'll be shocked. Show respect to those who truly deserve one. It's been a really busy day and a half with the ladies the needed a lot of work seeing as the freaked out while i was gone with this heat we've been having. Yesterday was 32C humid of 42C, its been warm. They got a major trim job still needs will do when she recovers from this one. They got a feeding today, of a mixture of thing that been said i hope to hell they don't burn cuz it was a lot of fertilizer ahah. Each of the 4 big ladies got: 4 cups all purpose 4-4-4 6 Tbsp blood meal 14-0-0 1 cup kelp meal 1 cup fossilized carbon complex 2 cups glacial rock dust 6 Tbsp oyster shell flour They also got 5 gallons of water PH at 6.8. Compost Tea is going to be started in roughly another 1 just waiting on the water temp to warm up a little more. I'm not going to Ph the brew at all just going to add the ingredients in and feed the way it comes out if it brew properly with a nice pleasant smell. Hopefully tea will be ready sometime tomorrow evening. Sorry for the late update, everyone. Thank you for checking out the garden. This lady has absolutely exploded! I am anxious to see how her buds stack up over the coming weeks. She has been drinking and feeding so much lately that I went ahead and bumped her up to 75% nutes instead of just 50%. We will see soon how she handles them. I was getting crazy pH swings (down to 4.4) because of how heavy she had been feeding. With the tap water I have, the new nutes measure about 850-900 ppm, but tap is about 200, so ~700 ppm of actual nutes. Feel free to hit me up with any comments or questions. 11/21 - Uploaded video showing canopy density and frequency of bud-sites. I supercropped the tall Enemy of the State branches that were in the light. As you can see In the video there was no light burn! We also have about 30” of light penetration even though I’ve not performed any defoliation! Loving these lights.

I'm very exciting and a bit worried after move to bigger pot and DWC. I should grow them in DWC bucket at the first place but I have moved them from substrate to DWC. Let's see how it goes. Week #3 Summary: The overall result is good but DWC is a bit better grow than substrate (only water). I did topping one of them to test and trim all of them.

Grow diary 11 stage 6 Day 51-60 This last 9 days she has continued to bulk up more. This is probably the shortest plant I have ever grown and that's possibly down to the topping or over watering earlier on in the grow. Unfortunately due to the west coast o.g stretching so much I have had to lift the light and she isn't getting as much as the others in the tent. She is the farthest along out of the 4 strains and is definitely going to finish before the others.

So the grow cycle was pretty easy. I work away from home and I sometimes have to leave for 4 days in a row. Before I'd leave for the four days I'd just add 4-6 cups of RO water with some Cal-Mag. When I can back she was always bigger and didn't have any problems. I was lazy this time and never checked the PH of the water. This strain is pretty resilient so props to sweet seeds. I decided not to LST this plant, it was a little taller than I wanted but grew in a nice shape. I still cant believe how purple this strain is. I started to get foxtailing on the top bud not sure what would cause that. Once again sorry for the lack of pictures. I'll let you know the smoke report later.

Last week getting close

Most of the week was spent setting up the hydro grow. Needed to build a DIY chiller since air temp in our grow room is hot, and water needs to be a good deal colder. Fridge from kijiji, garden hose, fittings, and submersible pump all in were under $100 but knowing what I know now I'd likely go with a thermoelectric chiller (DIY, with power supply and temp controller) next time around. Looking forward to tracking metrics and seeing how it goes :). Seems there's a lot of contradiction in terms of level of nutrients recommended, max water temperature, using H2O2 to boost water temp that can keep algae and rot at bay, etc. Got my hands on some Hydroguard via Amazon... despite local shops saying you can't get it in Canada... so I'm going to go with that instead of H2O2 to start, despite water temp getting up above 21 C (70 f) during the day. Fingers crossed. Update - keeping water reservoir tank under 20 C now by using reflective bubble wrap insulation on the reservoir itself and pipe insulation as well. It's a 10 C difference from the room temp, so I'm SUPER pleased with that.

- Heavy defoliation to canopy twice this week, got rid of all large fan leaves to send energy to buds - Light defoliation every other day Plants are profiled nicely, many buds throughout now. Some of the hairs on the Lemon Ice buds are starting to turn orange. Adding the dehumidifier and extra 6" fan seems to have solved the humidity issue. Plants drank a lot of water this week, I will monitor more closely next week and add some water throughout to help keep pH balanced. The stem I folded over last week seems to have recovered fine and is now laying horizontal across trellis, accidental super cropping.
