Hello. There are 2 rental houses behind our property and I've been concerned in past years about being ripped off. So I thought a baby monitor would give me more of a secure feeling being able to monitor the greenhouse while eating meals and to have it on while I sleep. It has infrared red light for night vision but I don't know how that will affect the plants in the dark if I put right in the grow tent. The plant are growing great and getting heavy already and we still have 5 weeks to go. I found a large bud vertical yesterday when I walked in. So I had to spent a couple of hours tying up the bigger buds. I got 1/2 the table and I will do the other 1/2 today or tomorrow. I sprayed the soil with Spinosad again to get the spores into the soil so they can come in contact any insect larva and latch on and grow. I'm still waiting for the nematodes to arrive. I imagine the Bug Lady is very busy this time of year so it might be a few more weeks before I see them. I haven't seen any powdery mildew in the garden this year so far. These plants are supposed to be mold resistant anyway. We had a hot spell a few weeks ago and a temperature of over 40* C will kill the spores. But it's always good to keep these type of things in the back of your mind so you can be prepared when it happens. Till next week. Chuck.

Flower day 31 - Having a little trouble with the temperature getting higher than I would like because my dehumidifier puts off some heat while it’s running so it’s been a constant struggle to keep the environment in this tent stable! Definitely will not have so many plants next run lol, but all in all the ladies are growing great & I can’t wait to see how they turn out! Week 21 Daylight 12h20 - 7h45/20h05 Unstable weather, alternating heavy rain and wind quasi every days and sunny afternoons. Moderate temperatures around 14°C min / 23°C max. Plants are safe in the veranda; the sun is lower on the horizon now and the angle of the light is now perfect for a good finish. I need to test the humidity level in the room but it seems reasonable. No signs of diseases or moisture. Last weeks were hard with multiple aggressions: plants are like War Veterans with some damage and scars. The flowering process look not affected by this episode and harvest is approaching. Brake Pad Breath: almost ready. Pistils are rusty colored, buds are thick and dense, firm and sticky. Subtle fruity aroma: tonic and stimulating. Most advanced plant: will be the first harvested soon. 2L watering / 2 days flowering booster finish + water flawless finish + water Flash Back #2: ending the flowering cycle and starting maturation. Last plant infested by insects, may be the plant is reacting by accelerating the flowering: buds are not so dense compare with the previous plant. Pretty spicy smell and good resin production. flowering booster finish + water flawless finish + water GMO x Zombie Kush: starting the last flowering stage. Recovering good and was less injured by caterpillar than the others. Pistils are long and the flowers will enlarge soon: need almost 3 or 4 weeks to be ready. FBT2308 has grow great under the Medic Grow Mini Sun-2, in the Agrogardens nutrition. She has a awesome frost, and a fruity aroma. She has a lot of cloudy trichromes and a few clear ones still. A few more days and she will go to ph water for a flush, and fade for 1 to 2 weeks. Everything worked great, and some nice tester buds to boot. We are starting the second week!!! The girls feel good, they are growing like crazy. Tomorrow we will transplant them into larger pots (10 l). I also increase the fertilizer dose to 2 ml/l. Maybe I'll start LST training this week. I still keep the lamps at 30 cm, but I increase the light power to 70%. I'm full of enthusiasm, keep it up! Week 10 here Aug 9 and just waiting for flush to finish.

Last week before the chop, girl is looking pretty 😎 😳 last few days left and she is getting much more chunkier 🤤

Alright grow cycle, mistakes, improvements, etc... She did stay in veg for too long, her growth was slow and not the best and so she took quite long, next time i'll be there from the beginning so I can take care of her throughout. But her growth is really fun. It is a tall growing sativa with fairly tight noding when trained accordingly, producing long filled colas. The buds grow fairly dense and fluffly but do air out a little when dried. Trichome production was pretty impressive as well as terpene production. She had thrips since her early days but did not seem to mind them at all. I did spray them initially but once flower started I stopped. I believe predatory mites might have been feeding on the pupae in the soil, if that is what this specific species of thrips did, the reason I say that is I could never see adults only larvae. Whatever the case maybe they were there but the population never really increased. Something I did not mention during the grow is that those plants were played music during the days, music that is apparently developed for plants. The 10L pot was WAY too small for a true sustainable living organic and to provide enough space for the plant, that was a mistake, I'd say a 20L would be the bare minimum and still. The bigger the better. The hempy transfer did not hurt the plant and I believe even helped to some extent, BUT, I am still running test on the subject and so can't confirm anything, here are my observations Roots did not colonize the perlite, a little on top and the sides but that was it, I was expecting to see a big root mass in there. I believe hempy are great for salt fert as it hold a soup of nutes where the plant can feed from since the coco only holds very little Whereas in nature most nutrient are in the top soil where the highest amount of decomposition happens, this is where the highest microbial activity happens and so where the plant will find food. Living organic is trying to reproduce nature and so there is no need for the plant's roots to gather at the bottom of the pot. Although it could have potentially provided the plant access to a larger amount of water and possibly more oxygenation of the pot. Those are all theories, please speak up if you have other proofs. In conclusion , unless i get proven otherwise by someone or my latest running experiment , I will not be using hempies again as I believe it brings more complication and issues than a simple fabric pot. The lights, The 600w at the start was good, then I decided to add a 400w...😂 That was completely overkill and not necessary. Waste of electricity. And they started suffering from too much light it seems at some point, I raised the light by a good 30 cm and they were fine. 600 is more than enough. I am happy about how the soil performed but it has room for improvements. As for the watering technique I have been watering large ammount every few days, next time I will be giving constant small amount of water each day and a soak every week or so, I believe the soil might perform better under those conditions. She was also an easy plant to harvest whit her long colas which had very little foliage, I do trim in excess as I like my buds extra clean but the buds are not excessively bushy. The trims were use to make some bubble hash, around 100g of wet trims yielded around 1.5-2g of bubble hash. I did add a negative effect but only because it wouldn't give me a smile otherwise, but to be honnest it barely dries your mouth. The soil is going to be recycled and reused in a next grow. I can't think of anything else at the moment but if you have any question don't hesitate.

Last week, instead of 2 g of GHSC Powder Feeding, I only gave 1.5 g p l of substrate so that I can give you another 1 g per l of substrate next week so that it lasts until the end :-). It is developing very well and the buds are starting to grow :-). The week was poured 3 times with 1.1 l each time. once of them GHSC Enhancer was added :-). The bottom shoots have now also been removed :-). As always, the humidifier was refilled every day and the lady was checked for her health. I hope you enjoy the update. I have missed a week or two since last update due to all sorts of personal problems and not taking videos or photos. The plants have grew a lot as they finally took off and they have been topped and tied down to create a table like canopy almost line mainlining but without taking smaller stems off

8/17 - Fed the ladies with liquid nutrients today. Also did some selective defoliation. The soil looks really healthy. You can see how happy my worms are. The two are coming along nicely and just starting to bud. 8/19 - Top fed all the ladies today with Uprising Grow, Uprising Bloom, and Elemental. 8/21 - They are in bloom! They are beginning to flower and looking lovely. In between feedings I water with RO water and molasses. They seem to love it. 8/24 - Blooming along nicely! Watering just about every day now. Added some mulch to the tops that I made from the dried leaves I take during defoliation. Hoping to keep the tops a little more moist.
