🌸 Week 4 Flower Report: Growth, Challenges & Big Changes! 🌸 Hey, Grow Diaries Fam! ✨ We’re here at Week 4 of Flower, and what a week it’s been—packed with challenges, adjustments, and exciting progress! Before diving into the details, let’s start with a note on my flowering timeline. While this is Week 4, I don’t start counting flower days the moment I flip to 12/12. Instead, I wait for the plants to show true signs of bloom. It’s a small but significant distinction that keeps things accurate and aligned with the plants’ development. 🌱 Defoliation: Timing is Everything! Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different! Day 62, harvest day. I will update after the drying and curing process. Wish I could've let them go a little longer but had to harvest slightly early. For my first attempt I'm happy with how the ladies turned out! Nice gassy smell, big sticky dense buds, great colours and 81g altogether wet trimmed. Lost one due to growers error but I've learnt a lot for next run. I will be growing one Auto Chem OG along side one Auto NL x BB from Oasis Genetics. Have a great day and happy toking! 🍃💨

This strain was perfect for my first grow was resistant asf even in the 38 degree heat these plants showed little stress. I’ve learned a lot during this grow and decide to go with this strain again for my next, The smell of my harvest isn’t that strong bud the high is. Smell is really nice and the taste 🤤 gave some to a friend who say “ it fruitier than Alan carr” but yeah have nothing bad to say about bpp and will be one of my go toos for now on

Day 58, 11th of November 2020: I set the lamp 15 minutes shorter to switch off earlier so she receives 11:45 of darkness. I would like to imitate the nature when longer nights come with time till the 4th week (when she will receive 13 hours darkness a day 15 minutes minus 4 times = 1hour) so every week 15 min longer darkness for 4 weeks and then back to 12/12 to have bigger buds from the 4th week.... I think whe will flower longer I have got that feeling. Nice strain growing properly. Good job Zamnesia.... Strech should end soon, however she did not strech that much due to training... Fertilization happens every 2nd day with the mix and ratio above. Let's go ;)

These girls are mostly doing amazing I had an issue where my pup came in to the greenhouse and lollipopped my GG4 but she stayed alive.

After 15 weeks, her time has come. She had a good life, despite some rusty obstacles that kept her on the smaller side, but her buds look awesome and smell great!

D43/V39 - 13/05/23 - Changed water , added nutes until EC=0.9 D44/V40 - 14/05/23 - Defolation - Added water EC= 1.1 pH 6.5 D45/F01 - 15/05/23 - Start flowering. Monitoring water from maximum to above, for the week out D46/F02 - 16/05/23 - Continuing LST. Flowering stage is now clear D47/F03 - 17/05/23 - EC= 0.9, Added nutes until EC 1.1. pH 6.4 (added some drops of pH-) D48/F04 - 18/05/23 - Added water and nutes EC=1.1, pH 6.5 D49/F05 - 19/05/23 - Nothing to report

Meanwhile, Bad Guy is thriving! Eating well and growing rapidly. Only one main-lining step left before transitioning the entire tent to flowering.

24.02.24 - 1.03.24 Red hot cookies performing stunnigly as always. This is a true beauty and a wonderful plant. Very healthy and sturdy. Yesterday I already noticed some distinct candy mandarine aroma with some chocolate cookies mixed in. Lets hownshe develop those lovely colours ans smell. One of the older plants is already fed 7 times a day. Thats a record for me. In around 9l of coco.

Alright grow cycle, mistakes, improvements, etc... She did stay in veg for too long, her growth was slow and not the best and so she took quite long, next time i'll be there from the beginning so I can take care of her throughout. But her growth is really fun. It is a tall growing sativa with fairly tight noding when trained accordingly, producing long filled colas. The buds grow fairly dense and fluffly but do air out a little when dried. Trichome production was pretty impressive as well as terpene production. She had thrips since her early days but did not seem to mind them at all. I did spray them initially but once flower started I stopped. I believe predatory mites might have been feeding on the pupae in the soil, if that is what this specific species of thrips did, the reason I say that is I could never see adults only larvae. Whatever the case maybe they were there but the population never really increased. Something I did not mention during the grow is that those plants were played music during the days, music that is apparently developed for plants. The 10L pot was WAY too small for a true sustainable living organic and to provide enough space for the plant, that was a mistake, I'd say a 20L would be the bare minimum and still. The bigger the better. The hempy transfer did not hurt the plant and I believe even helped to some extent, BUT, I am still running test on the subject and so can't confirm anything, here are my observations Roots did not colonize the perlite, a little on top and the sides but that was it, I was expecting to see a big root mass in there. I believe hempy are great for salt fert as it hold a soup of nutes where the plant can feed from since the coco only holds very little Whereas in nature most nutrient are in the top soil where the highest amount of decomposition happens, this is where the highest microbial activity happens and so where the plant will find food. Living organic is trying to reproduce nature and so there is no need for the plant's roots to gather at the bottom of the pot. Although it could have potentially provided the plant access to a larger amount of water and possibly more oxygenation of the pot. Those are all theories, please speak up if you have other proofs. In conclusion , unless i get proven otherwise by someone or my latest running experiment , I will not be using hempies again as I believe it brings more complication and issues than a simple fabric pot. The lights, The 600w at the start was good, then I decided to add a 400w...😂 That was completely overkill and not necessary. Waste of electricity. And they started suffering from too much light it seems at some point, I raised the light by a good 30 cm and they were fine. 600 is more than enough. I am happy about how the soil performed but it has room for improvements. As for the watering technique I have been watering large ammount every few days, next time I will be giving constant small amount of water each day and a soak every week or so, I believe the soil might perform better under those conditions. She was also an easy plant to harvest whit her long colas which had very little foliage, I do trim in excess as I like my buds extra clean but the buds are not excessively bushy. The trims were use to make some bubble hash, around 100g of wet trims yielded around 1.5-2g of bubble hash. I did add a negative effect but only because it wouldn't give me a smile otherwise, but to be honnest it barely dries your mouth. The soil is going to be recycled and reused in a next grow. I can't think of anything else at the moment but if you have any question don't hesitate.

In week 5 (=flowering week 3) all 18 CANNALOPE HAZE plants from DNA-GENETICS continued to develop their flower crowns. The lamps are now hung a little higher at a distance of 50 cm (=LUMATEK) and 60 cm (=SANlight) and both still run at 100% power (=no more dimming for now!). The plants on the right under the Q6W-Gen. 2 LED-Lamps from SANlight are a little bit taller and still have a darker, healthier green color. The amount of flower crowns also appears to be more, but is hard to recognize by eye anymore. The plants on the left side under the Lumatek PRO 600W are developing good and produce lots of flower crowns, but appear to be lighter in color. My waterings are always with tab-water only, since the BIOTABS nutrients are for the FULL-CYCLE, its sooooo easy and convenient, I LOVE IT! 😎 The HOMEBOX growtent is now nicely filled out and my trellis (=plastic netting) is filling out very well! The trellis will hold up the branches under the weight of the HUGE tops I expect later in flowering...😁
