A nice stocky little plant. She is starting to get that nice smell. Taking heavy feeding nicely and also now fattening up. Still no purple colours yet. I love this strain.

growing chem pie was amazing from start to finish, he made beautiful buds covered in resin. Every day it was wonderful to go and see how it blooms. during cultivation I came across two completely different phenotypes. One had rather more open but very firm buds, but the other was more like a crossbow and also firm buds. During drying, a little mold appeared on one of the bud, but otherwise everything is fine. after a month of curing, the taste of the smoke was very pronounced.

Day 70-77 (Day 71) Not exactly sure why but node spacing on bbb 6&7 is super tight still. Their stems are also harder and less bendy, almost like they’re root bound. Bbb #5 in my veg tent is looking bizarre and I’m at a loss for what to do. I’ve been looking up and asking around about the leaf crinkle and no one seems to know what’s wrong. Trashing a pheno of this would hurt. It could be a keeper too as I don’t think the problem is genetic. It’s definitely root bound but that doesn’t cause contorted new growth like that. I’ve concluded that it’s my dense soil coupled with root bound issues, overwatering and high RH. (Day 72) Later tonight I’m going to give bbb 5 a bath tub flush until it’s reading 200ppms, drain it well and then transplant into a 3g pot with lightly amended soil. I’m also going to give it a light defoliation. I don’t mind stressing the shit out of this plant right now because I won’t be flipping for another week at least. With the small container it will run out of amended nutes mid flower so I will hit it with a few synthetic feedings around then to test out the smokabilty and taste compared to organic nutrients. I might as well give the rest a good defoliation on the rest of the plants too. I will try to get most of what is under the trellis. (Day 73) I definitely defoliated #7 waaay too much. Since it’s tucked away in the corner and a really bushy plant I can’t train it as well as the others. I cut most of the sucker branches and the majority of the lower fans. This should prevent the need to defoliate at all until week 3 of flower. (Day 74) I’ve been reading that higher temperatures with a high RH can affect growth big time. It could be what’s causing all the crinkling and twisting. And now that the plants are in very late veg they could probably benefit from a lower RH. When I was running my temps around 74-78F and 70% RH I was in the perfect range. Now that I’m around 82-86F with the same 70% RH that could be what’s causing it. Hotter air holds more moisture than cooler air and proper vpd at 84F is around 75-80%. I’m going to turn up the speed on my carbon filter and set my controller to 75%. If I don’t see a difference or it gets worse I will drop to 65 and go from there. (Day 76) I finally got the lights raised up another 4 inches or so. It’s not much but it should help reduce the intensity and stretch the nodes more. I’m starting to think the super tight node spacing and droopy/contorted growth has more to do with something I’ve been reading about called ‘soil compaction’. Apparently farmers often deal with compacted soil in fields from running tractors over it all day. When I potted the plants I gave them a good little jiggle to compact the soil down further so I could fit a bit more in the container. I think this could be the culprit as they don’t seem to be drying out evenly. Even the plants in my other room are not drying out like they should and it’s probably from compacting too. With the addition of rock dust and dry amendments the soil can become sandy/clay like and retain a lot more moisture. Wish I would have added a few more liters of perlite and packed the soil a bit looser. Either way I need to get this problem sorted ASAP before I get root rot. Earlier in the season when I overwatered, I stuck a fish tank air pump into the soil and it aerated the soil enough to prevent overwatering. The only reason I discontinued it is because it didn’t have much effect in the 1.7g pots. I just ordered a 36w 6 way fish tank pump that is way more powerful. It was 50 bucks and I’m willing to take a gamble on it. It seems to be my only option at the moment because I can’t just repot. Worst case scenario I can use it for brewing compost teas if it doesn’t work. I’m not sure how well this will work in a giant fabric pot but it’s worth a shot. I’ve heard of people supplementing additional air into raised garden beds with great results. I’m picking off some of the new auxiliary branches to try and widen the node spacing. Growth is definitely slow and stunted but no signs of deficiencies. I just thought of another theory on the node spacing... and the more I think about it, the more I think it’s the mystery problem. I’ve been foliar spraying with 1-1-1 VeloKelp at pretty high concentrations 2-3 times per week. I have heard in passing that kelp and seaweed can somehow reduce stretch. A quick google search reveals that Ascophyllum Nodosum Seaweed and other marine algae extracts contain large amounts of hormones and auxins that reduce plant height and stretch. *facepalm* Guess I’ll stop that for the rest of the cycle. As far as I know there is nothing I can really do but wait for the plant to use up all those excess hormones and nutes. The recent 0-0-15 seaweed extract and 1-0-3 kelp meal I bought is derived from the same kind as the velokelp. I guess I won’t use it again until week 3 or 4 in flower. Tight nodes are very useful in flower but aren’t desirable at all in when trying to scrog in veg. Especially when they’re like a half inch apart. It slows the shit out of a grow. Vietnamese and biker gangs in my area used to grow SOG style and use a synthetic PGR hormone (meant for bonsai trees) called ‘paclobutrazol’ that would make the weed rock hard dense so they wouldn’t have to pay people as much to trim it. I’ve heard that in recent years they have made the switch to using kelp extracts because paclo is getting harder find and is not meant for food crops let alone smokeable crops. I’m ashamed of it but I have smoked pounds of PGR weed long before I knew what a PGR was. 🤷‍♂️ (Day 77) One more theory. Ever since raising up the plants up onto that shelf the root zone is probably significantly warmer and the bottom of the pot (where most of the roots are) drys out way quicker. It’s possible that the warmer root zone could not be holding dissolved oxygen at the proper rate resulting in that over/underwatered look. Or it could be that I’m not watering enough at once to reach the bottom of the pot where the roots are and it’s indeed under watered. I’m going to water in a gallon when I get my new air pump and see if that makes any positive change. If I see the new air pump making a difference, I will flip on the 21st of April. If I don’t see a difference, I will carefully untangle the plants from the scrog net and remove the shelf. That extra foot should make a massive difference with ppfd and will cool down the roots significantly too. I’m thinking about grabbing a simple soil/compost thermometer to check the temp of the medium. Better safe than sorry. Rough week. Hopefully everything get smoothed out in the next little while before I flip.

5th week of flower everything still looking good. Nugs getting bigger. 9/8 Middle of week 5 some of the buds are starting to flower and just thc everywhere. Will have plenty of trimmings for concentrates. Still wondering about the yield??? But see a little burn on edges of leaves. Probably go water only anyway cause still have organic toil soils working. Smells so good!! Last day of week 5 looks amazing so much THC everywhere. Looking forward to them fattening up in next week or two.

Hello. This is the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6 of flowering. Showed around my yard a bit. Lots of nectar giving plants and bushes for the humming bird's, butterfly's and bee's. Smells wonderful in here With the LemonPaya and the RainBow Melon in here it smells like tropical skunk. Yum. The plants are growing well and everything seems good. Two girls one cup week 5?? I cant count ATM.. if you're just tuning in, check previous week's for daily progression. Day 28- off to an explosive start for the week. Eating and drinking more than ever. Topping off RES daily between 30-40 fl oz with calmag'd water. Changed RES yesterday to 3/4 strength week 4 GHE light. Breakdown as follows. 2gal water/calmag - 200ppm Micro - 9mL Grow - 8.4mL Bloom - 6.3mL RES total after ph corrections - 720 @ 5.68. Light up 30in - 20 DLI Already had to top off with 26oz calmag'd water this morning and I just changed RES last night. TDS dropped from 720 to 661 within 12hrs, as well as the water level. Ph drift up to 6.18 as usual. I really think every other day RES changes may help keep these girls npk right where it needs to be with how much they're eating. As long as I don't stress em too much more that is. Last week was rough on the girls for sure. Gave em a .5mL shot of Micro tonight to boost nitrogen levels a bit due to the coloration on lower fan leaves and some uppers. May supplement more N into next RES change right off the bat Will add to the timelapse daily as long as i dont f up the footage like i have done many times already. Day 29- still looking a little hungry and how fast tds is dropping it def shows in more than one place. Bump up RES to full strength week 4 GHE light. Breakdown as follows. Water - 2gal Micro - 12mL Grow - 11.2mL Bloom - 8.4mL Total after ph corrections: 5.68/980 They're def bushing up. The stretch is coming and GC already shows signs of it starting. Wish they'd bush up more before, but i gotta roll with the flow. Definitely branching out down all over and are showing signs of explosive growth yet again. Thinking about turning on the green night light again to show night time movement with the day. Thoughts?? Day 30- these girls are some PIGS! I JUST changed RES yesterday, and they've already eaten 1/3rd of its concentration. From 980 down to 601 in 24hrs! More if you think about my RES top offs every 12hrs (with 200ppm calmag'd water) adding back something versus just diluting further. I know I said I wouldn't stress the girls anymore, BUT... I supercropped the stretching tops on both, and gave em a mild defoliation. Hated to see more big leaves go.. but they're blocking light to everything I want to bush out NOT stretch up. The stretch is coming, but we still have time to train so may as well. *edit* went a lil nuts supercropping.. WG is taking it like a champ. GC I was a little rough with and crushed the 3 up top a lil too much. They're turned up towards the TSW2000, so they're not dead. RES change tonight with TDS drop as fast as it did. So there will be two updates today. woohoo! Day 31- both made a speedy recovery from the second round of abuse. will be doing another RES change tonight. same week 4 GHE light, i may bump up the formula some since the TDS dropped 360+ ppm in 24 hrs the other day. just dont want to overdue it since i just got done stressing them TF out AGAIN and they wont be eating as much while repairing (i think)... i will update later after RES change if i decide on running anything other than whats mentioned above. *TDS broke a thousand tonight.. lets see if we can keep em from dropping too much in the next 12hrs. Not fully repaired, but S.C. locations all over are already growing like nothing even happened. Wedding Glue's branches and main are thick asf! Wait till harvest and I bet they'll double or more. Will have to cut bigger openings in the silicon mat to keep from choking them off. **update** AM RES check, TDS dropped from 1077 to 679 in 12hrs! And I've read all over not to take autos over 6-700ppm... seems I feed em more, they eat ALLOT more. WTF??! Day 32- got out a net to see if it actually fits the tent, and to see how I felt about using it. So far, it fits but I'm not feeling it. So it came back out. Another round of defoliation tonight, and standard top off ph correct RES. am going to start every other day RES changes now to keep em happy. Day 33- plants drinking roughly 42fl Oz every 12hr. Defol AGAIN... got rid of some of the smaller stuff down low so all the plants energy can be focused to somewhere that matters. bumped up the TDS around noon today a bit and moving towards bloom nutes. Giving them a little more calmag to help with repairs from supercropping and all the defol 3 days in a row. Breakdown as follows. Water/calmag/h²o² - 2 gal (300ppm) Micro - 10.6mL Grow - 9.2mL Bloom - 12mL RES total after ph correction - 1174ppm Just did my every 12hr RES check and TDS has dropped from 1174 to 881. I measure before topping off with calmag'd water too. Helps in my data crunching and calculations. At this rate, they'll be down below 600 by morning. Wasn't planning on daily RES changes until they were much further along. Really want to see how big the root structure is in the RES, but don't want to rip roots wrapped on the ice probe. If I had one of those probe cameras I could poke it in my top off/fill port and take a peek. Day 34- really wish i had a spare down tube installed so i could utilize a top off RES. once this gets too low, it stops top feeding. not a big deal cause theres plenty of bubbles brewing in the RES to dwc it for a few hours. well... theres two bitches in the cup, theyre eating and drinking like pigs already. i am WELL over the "650-700" max ppm for an auto and climbing trying to keep both of them as happy as possible without hurting em. theyre only going to get bigger, thirstier, and hungrier as time passes. i see the 2k mark in the near future for sure. GC showing some purple on the tops of a few bigger petioles on GC and WG showing purple striping on the bottom of some of its branches. after watching vid from today, I DEF need to hit my fans with some tape like a lint roll. and yes, I play them music 🤣. WG is def a strong fucking pheno for sure!! thick branches, tight node spacing when given appropriate lighting. props to FastBuds for sure! changed RES tonight around 6pm to the GHE wk1 bloom MEDIUM feed. breakdown as follows: water - 2gal (300ppm) micro - 12.2mL grow - 10.6mL bloom - 13.6mL RES totals after PH corrections - 1237 ppm, 5.51 PH (letting them get the full sweep today) didn't I say I wasn't going to stress the girls anymore?? damnit! guess I'm a liar.. did a lil schwazzz on the girls tonight. left a few fans for shits and giggles. they're either going to stack up or herm out 🤣.. either way, we're in this together to the end. 3x3 TENT HARVEST UPDATE - all four girls started from clone were harvested after trichome check of mostly cloudy with 15-20% amber (after only 42 days from switch). Harvested on 12/3 and jarred after 8 and 10 day dry times. Roughly four ounces of some really sticky and stinky buds. So, while girls were not big producers, the quality is primo! Glad I took cuttings of the G-41, Frosty Gelato, and Black Cherry Gas. These are the first additions to new mother tent. 2x2 Tent (8 clones and 1 Afgooey Auto) - During the week clones began showing signs of revegging. Should be ready to transplant by weeks end. Afgooey is just now starting to pre flower, which is completely opposite of her two sisters, which only vegged 3 weeks before going into flower. Gave her a good defoliation, since she is squatty, bushy and generally growing more like a true indica. Transferred clones and Auto to the 3x3 tent at weeks end. 2x4 Tent (French Macaron WK5F) - Dealing with huge Ph swing in an organic soil grow. Ph reading below 5. Began ph'ing at 7.0 - 7.5 to slowly adjust her back to normal. Transferred the two Afgooey Autos into 3x3 tent at weeks end. 3x3 Tent (3 Afgooey Autos WK3F & 8 clone varieties) - Transferred all three Afgooey Autos under Mars-Hydro FC-E3000 set at roughly 75% or roughly 500-600 PPFDs. Transplanted 8 clones from dixie cups to 1 gallon pots with PPFDs roughly 300-400. Ph'd and watered autos and clones.
