🌸 Week 4 Flower Report: Growth, Challenges & Big Changes! 🌸 Hey, Grow Diaries Fam! ✨ We’re here at Week 4 of Flower, and what a week it’s been—packed with challenges, adjustments, and exciting progress! Before diving into the details, let’s start with a note on my flowering timeline. While this is Week 4, I don’t start counting flower days the moment I flip to 12/12. Instead, I wait for the plants to show true signs of bloom. It’s a small but significant distinction that keeps things accurate and aligned with the plants’ development. 🌱 Defoliation: Timing is Everything! Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different! This marks the start of a new chapter, and I’m incredibly curious to see how the plants react to these changes. Here’s the current nutrient mix: • System Clean: 0.5 ml/L • Regulator: 0.15 ml/L • RO Water Conditioner: 0.8 ml/L • All-in-One Liquid: 2.1 ml/L I’m keeping the pH at 6.1 and TDS at 556 ppm, and so far, the plants are thriving. This week also included a thorough system clean, ensuring everything runs smoothly as we enter the final flowering stages. 🌿 Bud Development: Pure Magic! The bud formation across all the genetics is nothing short of incredible. Every plant is thriving, and the canopy is lush, vibrant, and full of potential. I’ve raised the PPFD to 750 for this stage, with temps steady at 25°C and RH at 63%—keeping the VPD dialed in at 1.11. semana evolutiva, acertando os fatores que faltavam, mantendo o VPD, coloquei a Tela de SCROG para segurar o topo que já tinha ultrapassado a borda do vaso, os demais ramos continuo puxando para a borda, até agora nenhum Pistilo, fechando 4 semanas muito bem, sem estresse e com diferentes intensidades de técnicas em cada Auto, to fazendo meus próprios testes, coloquei as Auto do vaso mais largo para Green House que eu fiz, para posicionar os vasos do Indoor na posição final e adicionar a tela de SCROG, as Auto Outdoor adoraram a casa nova! seguimos..

📆 Harvest Week, 28 May - 4 June 2024 28-29 May - Observed and let the plant mature. 30 May- 3 Jun - Flushed plant. 4 Jun - Harvest (see pictures). 📑 The final week. Harvest time. Although I have destroyed my netting getting her cut the way I want to hang, it was well worth it. Larger limbs take a little longer to dry and that is what I need, a slower dry. For this reason I’m only removing larger and yellowing leaves. I’m hoping on 14 days in a closet controlled environment at 55% RH and 70 degrees F. Then it will be trimmed and placed into 1 quart mason jars with Boveda 62% TerpShield, and burped daily until a RH of 62% is maintained for long term storage. Overall Grow Review: With all environmental conditions met, this plant can get as big as you want it to. But to get big buds you have to carefully balance your nutrients to get maximum production. Reflecting back over the weeks, this is what ultimately caused the buds to be smaller than anticipated. I do not believe she was adequately feed during flower. This is a much bigger plant than I am normally use to growing, and I did not get into the habit of checking the solution PPM in-between scheduled weekly feeding changes. So when she started flowering I suspect she became a more heavy feeder, nutrients should have been changed twice per week or every 5 days depending. Only a guess. Would I grow it again? This is not my first Wedding Cake grow - so absolutely! Smoq Report: The smoke has a very strong effect that comes on slow and stays for a while! A nice head and body buzz that brings out talk and laughter. Nice for recreational or medicinal use. Will not couch lock at all, quite the opposite in fact! 🍶 30 May changed nutrient solution to flush solution 💧 Using reverse osmosis water with EC/TDS at 0 🐉 Flush Solution EC .0 at 70 degree F 🔆 Light power: one at 25%, and one at 50%, DLI 35 canopy coverage at 12hrs 😤 Using General Hydroponics, HGC728040, Dual Diaphragm Air Pump, 320 GPH That is it for this week. Auto Maxi Gom is doing okay. She is bulking, and looks strange to me. I have not grow this strain before. She should fill in as the time passes. Hopefully it's just my patience and eyes playing tricks on me. She is making progress, regardless and is weeks from done. This has been a long flowering process for a autoflower. 🤞🏻 it turns out okay. Nothing more to report at this moment. Repoted them into 5 litre pots from pot noodle cups , pulling top fan leaves still . The side branches are catching up slowly.

She is putting all her effort in growing two long and three little branches. I turned her a bit more towards the sun and out of the shade of her neighbour plant. As the weather is great, she needs more water now.

Seems like the fungus gnats are almost gone. 😊 Since the Maverick is 2 weeks older than the blue dream I have to put them into flour which I did last night. The blue dream seems to be growing very slowly still. I also fimed her last week and yeah didn't see much results since it's going so slow. Hopefully we'll get something good out of the flowering stretch Blue Dream is looking to have about six colas and the Maverick probably around 10. Overall I am happy. Peace!!!

The mutant, is strengthening nicely being close to the fan, bud structure is definitely going to be interesting! Exodus cheese barely looks to be in flower, if at all tbh, interesting growth, side nodes want too shoot out every branch and needed pluckin'.

Had to move her to a smaller space with a weaker light. But she has the entire light to herself. I ended up giving her one more dose of cannacoco A and B and the pk 12/14 also by cannacoco. Will be flushing her with ph’s water at 6ish going forward. I may harvest her top buds first and give the lower buds some time to catch up.

Day 16: Some branches were tied down already. trying to get her to expand as much as possible. The previous training I did with a Dance World, ended up with a very bushy plant which did not allow a lot of light penetration. Day 18 : They were transplanted in a hempy bucket, I would like to play with it once more. I did not use layers only spike in the super soil. it follows the same recipes as the first transplant in week 2. Day 19 : They were both topped in order to keep 5 branches on each plant, I would like them to spread out as much as possible as they get so bushy. Trying to adjust from the first grow. Day 21 : They were tied down in order to start growing outwards instead of up.

This week made a few oopsies . I gave un-ph’d water to one of the plants “moving to fast” . Started defoliation during this week to attempt to redirect plant energy into establishing a full canopy since flowering has initiated. Whilst defoliating I broke a branch that had to be taped to save it. Humidity went out of whack when I stored 4 prepped 5 gal pots for transplant in the tent sooo I’ve got to buy a dehumidifier bc at one point all my plants fell out in a fit . STILL haven’t filled these pots out, & I’m kinda sure/unsure it’s time to re-amend the soil for flowering. I’m conflicting on waiting until beginning/middle of week 7 so I can flush week 11 & 12 . I think that covers it pretty well Week 5 in the 📚 📕 📖.

These ladies were a pleasure to grow and smell amazing.
