Well, what we feared, became a reality, one of the regular XTrakush plants is a male. This is why I planted two and I'm happy it seems to be only the one. But with the canopy going nice and full it hurt to get it out. Of course, I hoped to have two females but nature went its course. Considered leaving it in, to pollinate the others, or keeping it somewhere, but I do not have the space or light for it. Thus with pain in my gut, I went about getting her out. I notice a nice developed root system, very healthy, which was very hard to get loose. After shaking the soil off I have a rootball the same size as after my whole grow last time. I could lift the whole 57 ltr bag by lifting the plant. Sturdy stem, thick solid branches. This is what I was aiming for and it works. The soil again is proving itself to be a winner. The light this low gives some higher temps as expected, but manageable within ranges. The SP-3000 is performing really well and I cant wait to see the bud development coming weeks. I'm sure it will deliver a great amount of bigger buds looking at all the flower sites and the thick branches that support them. The plants seem to take the light well on only 45 cm. I've started adding the BAC Organic Bloom Nutrition. It is designed to work with the microorganisms I added with the micro life. With this I do a little bit of Calmag, but not so much, since I don't see any evidence of shortages, again proving my soil is dialed in for growing under LED perfectly. Grow diary 11 Stage 3 Days 21-30 Day 22 removed lowest nodes. I'm also thinking i may be overwatering. Day 24 eventually found my humidifier. Day 26 topped both colas. Day 30 training. The last 9 days have been fairly bad, around day 22 I thought the grow looked a little overwatered. This time I am using a home made ring to flood the pots, i didn't take into account that this ring lets out about 10 times the amount of water then the blue drippers. I cut the watering down and the she started to recover. She is the worst looking one out the 4 strains. Even the one for outside looks bad. The outside Bruce banner went to its gorilla spot the other day and I forgot to take pictures. The outside northern lights will be going to gorilla spot soon. She reacted very well to last week feed and now the leaves have much better color. Expecting some stretch and the first signs of flowers for the next days. Day 29 - Things going along nicely .... i trimmed down some of the bigger bottom leaves, i didn't have enough soil to fill the pots, and the plants are short, bushy, weird little things, that filled out the inside of the pots..... they are only 15cm tall, but the leaves are 10+ cm .... really weird little plants.... haha.... i decided to trim the fk out of one of the ones in the double pot, and practiced topping on her.... i'll cut her down maybe trimmer her of the pot, and focus on just the 2........ they seem to be still growing upwards, so i'm not in a hurry to put em into flower mode......... on the main one i noticed some neut deficiencies ... so i upped the neuts.... should be ok, i put a good heavy neut and it stopped the spots etc..... i think some bug or something got in the double pot and is livin in there, but he doesn't eat much, haha....... the main stalks are as big as my thumb and under each canopy is all the branches..... it's really strange, to go in under all the growth and see it all .... they look kinda small, but the entire under canopy of leaves is all full .... i'm moving the huge sized leaves out and pulling each branch up over them as they grow..... this is 21 THC and 19 CBD, so it's all the good stuff for medicine ... the smell is getting abit noticable and i'm hoping the exhaust fan arrives from china soon.... just got positive ventilation into a carbon fil. ... and daily air out........ i think i had the led lights too low..... so i'll raise em abit more and see if i can get em to stretch .... I was wondering why she wasn’t breaking ground. So on 4/20 I started looking into the rapid rooter. She was breech! Stuck sideways in the rooter, turned her head first and she’s going in the right direction now!

Hello. All photos from flower day 6. On flower day 3 I switched the Sanlights up to 80%. On flower day 6 I sprayed the plants with Spruzit, to prevent any kind of insects. As you can see everything is okay besides that algae but nothing too bad so far. All under control. See you next week. ✌️

Ok folks, gunna be one armed for another 6 weeks so I'm just the conductor the true heroes will go unseen. Everything is alive atleast, had a scare yesterday as things got so dried out everything went limp but an hour after feed turned back around. Noticed some yellowing and other coloring coming thru on alot of leaves so I bumped ppm up a little bit this last feed. They dont look like they have a deficiency, it's weird, they look beautiful but with a premature fade almost. I really like Green Buzz' line up/regiment I just have to dial it in which isnt easy since it's a multi strain crop and various size plants. It's very easy to use and makes me feel good knowing it's not poison. Did a minor leaf strip around the tent just to make things fit better. I'll copy and paste this to the diaries for the rest of the crop per usual but go into a little more detail on each plant individually. Pics and vids were taken on day 28 of flower. I'm trying to keep up with these as best I can from start to finish, the flip date was 6.10.19, today is 7.9.19. They are both coming out great, little yellowish/lite green but still look good. They both have a much better bud structure than the 1st pheno I grew out looks like theyll fatten up nicely. Havnt smelt them yet but the frost is real on both of them. 3 semana de vegetación y noté una clara deficiencia en las 2 plantas (1 más que en la otra) al principio no sabia lo que podía ser, y varios cultivadores me dieron opciones, busque la composición del alimento que uso y me di cuenta que no tiene calcio y muy poco porcentaje de magnesio, aparte que estoy regando con agua purificada+ósmosis inversa, así que por conclusión es carencia de calcio y magnesio, me recomendaron calmag un alimento rico en los 2 nutrientes así que lo compraré y espero ese sea el problema, no hay estancamiento pero si están creciendo más lento Hoy toco riego con alimento siguiendo la tabla de green house, realicé un riego foliar con acti vera como preventivo de alguna plaga u hongo.

Day 2: The plant was strutting again after lifting the lights to 50cm above the plant. There is almost no smell, I'm afraid the heatwave might have killed off the smell and taste of the buds permanently :-( Day 4: Watered with nutrients.

Feb 15th All three plants are doing well They have all been bent over to grow sideways Feb 17th More LST, all is well. Feb 18th Changed out nutrients This week I added 18l of nutes with slightly stronger mix at 75% strength. I will change on next weeks update Feb 21st Plants have used approximately 6 litres since the 18th They are all looking healthy but for some reason they aren’t growing in length that much. They are producing many new branches but the branches are becoming to compacted close together.

The branching beast is doing well, but it's time again to bring her in a good shape. Also I'll set the LST new cause of the fast growing one of the branches started splitting up. So see ya next week when I maybe repot her in a bigger pot and cleaned her up!

How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. The different parallel lines that we are developing can be directed in a few different pathways flavorwise. Q. Why are the seeds white? A. Why is the sky blue? No, the mature seeds are shrouded by a rice paper thin membrane which has coloring and mottling on it, but it's so fragile that it disintegrates in the process of shucking. Stripped of the outer layer the seeds are very pale, nearly white. It came as no surprise that this plant would have abnormal seeds. Q. Is it a GMO? A. Wow...? Well, it's seriously "modified" and the modifications are definitely genetic, and it is an organism. (Genuinely Modified Organically!) Uh, no. No radiation, no recombinant DNA, no gene splicing or editing, no TALEN or CRISPR! These biotechnologies don't belong in the food and medicine plant industries. Q. Is it a big producer? A. The same set of variables apply to expected outcomes regarding cannabinoid levels and terpene profiles. Q.What is the lineage? A. (Bigbud x Skunk#1) x (Big Sur Holy Weed x Banana Kush). The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. Couch unlock. Q. Is it pest and mildew resistant? A. Indeed it is. On many occasions in the last few years, it has been observed that when pest and mildew issues were affecting other plants adjacent to in the vicinity of Freakshow plants, for unknown reasons the freaks remained entirely unaffected. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations.
