End of week 4 and all is going well, had a slight calcium issue on a couple of leaves, but it was corrected and all is good again. These girls are responding well to the nutes, but my run-off is getting a little high, that should change when I cut out the Flora Micro and just feed calmag, Dnectar and KoolBoom for the next couple of weeks. Any comments or suggestions? Wish me luck.... just a few weeks to harvest now.

Week 2 Flower (3/07/22 - 3/13/22)

Hey there, I will say goodbye, fastbuds dont appreciate my work and this reports cost a lot of time maybe i come back. But i get 6 seeds for my 58 diaries waited 6 month to get the next seeds only to get no answer and no seed. My plan was big but i had to stop in the middle of the beginning so see ya and happy growing!

Everything is going pretty smooth. Twisted helix is still looking rough and the leaves are dying. Other than that everyone is looking happy. Just packing on some trichomes and building some buds. Excited to see what these girls do over the next couple weeks. This sugar cane has the same mutation as the last one. Ovules growing out in the open not protected by a calyx. These ovules shriveled up and pretty much disappeared on the last plant. Didn't notice them in the buds at all.

December 4th:starting in the winter, veg and bloom will happen under 400watt hps to keep the grow room warm. the seeds have been germinating for 2 days with the wet paper towel technique, they got root and are now in soil and the rockwool cube. for now im just waiting for the seeds to show root coming out of the rockwool, then i transplant to the netpot with clay pellets straight in the dwc, untill then they get fluorescent light (max 7 days) these are autoflowers so they get 18 or 20 hours light. nutrients General hydroponics three part :micro gro bloom and calmag water: rainwater (25ppm) i hope the room wont cool of too much when the lights go out. Day 1 (December 5) seeds start to come above the rockwool and the soil Day 2 (december 6) stems start to stretch i give them both pure rain water with 100ppm calmag when they feel dry. Day 4 (december 8) still no root visible out of the rockwool Day 5 (december 9) root visible outside of rockwool cube and transplant to the 55Liter rdwc air pumps 10l/minute Day 7 (december 11) root comes trough netpot, i lowered the water by removing 3Liters

Day 85 - first day of Week 13 and she is going into darkness for 48 hours. Hasn't been watered since 2 days. Even though she looks the least done of all three, her trichomes are now a good 20-30% amber with the rest milky and some tiny bits of clear. I checked her buds on the calyx all around, from top buds to middle to bottom. She really shows a lot of heavily swolen calyxes, which I have never seen like that. I can now add that to the things I learned/experienced: calyxes swell a lot before the plant is finished. Let's see. My Girl Scout Cookies does not look like she even has calyxes. Funny individuals. Happy wedding cake day, almost 😍 Day 88 - out of darkness. She was in there for 2,5 days. Opening the drying tent she gave off a really strong smell of hash 😍wow. She has some nice looking buds and looks def. more done, but below her dress, she has some light fluffy buds. I have hung all of them now in the dry tent, after I removed some of the bigger fan leaves. One part of it, I think I want to low and slow dry in the fridge. I am interested in finding out about the difference in taste, when a more wholesome profile is retained. I bought a small tent (40x40cm), a small oszillating fan hung over the buds/on top of the tent. Due to size limitations, I have the filter on the bottom with the duct leaving the tent at the bottom connecting to an exhaust fan. Inside the tent I have a humidity sensor from an Inkbird Humidity regulator. Connected to that is a mini-dehumidifer and a humidifier. I have set it to 20°C (68F) and 50-55% humidity. I'm excited to see how long my dry will last this time. My first grow was drying way too fast in the middle of the heat wave last year with 30% humidity. The overview added to the pictures, I started making over Christmas. It was when I noticed, that I'm a so impatient, and that something must be wrong, especially in the first weeks. I get so obsessive, that I tend to overcare. Which she showcases beautifully in this overview. I hope this will calm me down the next time. Oh my haha Let's see what the final dry weight is. My guess is about 25-35g. Any other guesses? Happy Wedding Cake day 😇

Well its another update from down under.. and things are getting better with the Caramelo. She got badly burnt from my mistake of using too strong lime sulfur spray to treat spider mites and mold issues before they could take hold. And its kinda worked. lols...the mites are still there but reduced alot in number but I was almost ready to chop her after I saw how badly burnt all her new shoots were. But Im glad I decided to wait a bit as she has recovered faster than expected and while im sure she still has issue at the root level from the rain drenching her for near on a week- she basically stunted after that and never showed much stretch at all when switching to flower-she grew maybe 15cms in height total after that so Im assuming some kind of root rot has her and any harvest will be a bonus. In saying that Im still not going to be suprised if she suddenly dies or gets badly infected with bud rot out of the blue as Im nursing her hard just to get her to this stage and in my experience a nursed plant may produce a yield but it will be weaker than its meant to be and reduced by around 50% of the yield you should have got. if she was indoor id have ripped her out after the sighs she was stunted presented and started over with a new plant. But out doors I dont have that luxury so I will nurse her thru and hope for the best but expect less than average results. Zkittles though is loving life and just LOOK at her!! When you realize she was the same size as the Caramelo when the rain hit and now look at the difference- thats why i say when you see obvious signs of stunting-rip the plant if you can and start over, it may recover but if it was serious then the plant will never show its true potential and you may think those genetics are shit. Ive never grown the Caramelo before now so if i judge it on this result I will say the genetics are shit when the plant likely had root rot from 3 weeks before even switching to flower. And the BC buds hash plant is FINALLY flowering too now. For a 90% indica it sure is taking the longest to flower. I wonder if its the old school genetics at play here-This strain been around since the 70's while the ZkittleZ is a modern hybrid so maybe the newer genetics really are all they are cracked up to be. Thats why I love doing side by side grows out doors with diff genetics and see what they can really do. You should see my mates BC hashys- lmao, he said he wanted bigger plants than last year as he got "bonsai" plants from someone else. Now he has to tie down trees that are growing over his 6ft fence!! And they only just went into flower last week. But on that note- Will update more now as things progress towards harvest. She's growing well lately. Buds are getting dense, a nice covering of trichomes. Pistils are still changing though so another week or two to go I think. The other two got harvested during the week so she has a little bit more room to spread out now. 👍
