The trichomes on the Runtz are all milky and I'm getting some amber on the sugar leaves, I think the end is near 😁 The G13 is looking great and smelling wonderful, the buds are getting heavier and same for the GDP

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. I am busy all weekend, so I wanted to make sure I got something out of the grow (just in case). I might use a good portion of this harvest for rosin and for when friends ask :) That is if the second plant lasts until next week. I cant ask my wife to keep an eye on water, roots, or bud.

Day 65 : officially 1st day of flush . Changed the reservoir with fresh water and 1.2g/5 gallons of Yucca extract and 5ml/gallon of Cleanex from Botanicare . Day 68- I did some defoliate. Few more days until harvest.

So I’m updating a day early only because it’s looking like a lot of rain tomorrow so here it is: Pp 1- 36 inches Pp2- 34 inches Pp3- 36 inches Os1- 35 inches Os2- 32 inches Os3- 36 inches Been dealing with a lot of wind so there is some damages on them but it is what it is I’m not sure how you prep them for 50kmh winds 🤷‍♂️ I’m thinkin the tent would be in a pile in the grow room 😂 but anyways other then that there looking good. I’ve seen roughly 5-6 lady bugs laying eggs on the girls so that’s a good start!! No sign of pest yet but nature is prepin em. I’ve gotta get some more straw to lay down as the wind blew a lot of it away, it’s coming everything is just a waiting game.. leaving on Wednesday for work so it’s going to be exciting to see em two weeks later! Was a little nervous they were going to flip to flower but everything seems good so far haven’t noticed any major stretch or anything like that so I think we’re in the clear. The weather is taking a swing back to normal here it’s been outa wack the last little bit, anywhere from 25-30c highest with humidity was 39c I’ve never seen this in May in my lifetime up in Canada but wow if that’s a taste of what summer is going to be like I want out now lol well time to go for now see ya again on June 17th!

The flower keeps on growing! I am excited for the next days. Today was the first day to use some nutrients in my water. I used Biobizz Grow, Bloom and Top Max like advised from Biobizz for Light Mix. I wonder if I should start to remove some of the bigger leafs… any recommendations from you guys? I am counting like at least 15 branches that are all on the same height… awesome!! What an even canopy. Some of the branches are on one side a bit lower though. Happy new year guys!! I just put in the net. I never used one before, as I only have outdoor experience. I am trying to bend down some of the higher branches with the net. Let’s see if it works out. Plant looked very good. But after I used the nutrients the plant looked a little bit more sad :( … maybe also nutrient lockout, because I have quite a big pot and usually with smaller pots I always watered the plant until the water ran out of it on the bottom.

Was such a pleasant harvest from start to finish, no issues at all. A tip for next time would be to have the SCRoG lower as I couldn’t really tuck any node sights this time round, smells absofuckinglutely amazing from 3RD week bloom onwards!

Final week flushing with reverse osmosis. So for my first photoperiod run no hermies 🙌👊🙏 I overfed this gal a tad but it's in my notes for next time. I also did not constantly check runoff ph which the ph was low for sometime which I'll stop being lazy and do it properly because it's worth it in the end. First pic is showing off some of the stretch that has occurred. We start “Above the Stakes”this week. -Sun 10th; it looks like the R plant is making a solid effort in its Stretch, which has just begun & is really happening. The L plant is flourishing and nearing the end of its own stretch. There is an image of the pair with 3’ showing on a tape measure as reference. Jan 11 Good things are happening as the circle of branches starts fill in ! ** as a side note, the Uv-B is going back on for 6hrs a cycle (3+3) after some more reading and the recent stretch action from the plant on the R. Nothing wrong with a weeks delay in nature between sisters & UV-B sounds like solid tech. Power is on again ** - Dinner-time after 4 days. - Hole drilled in overhead corner-bracket, to help Centre the Light. - Plants have been rotated a bit, LST (lashing-some-timber lol) re-positioned a bunch of branches/stakes, meshing the two plants together, in the middle. nuf snapshots. details as the week-ends. -Nutrient ratios are Max’d as the volume will continue to climb for 2 more big feeds. -rapid-start & cal/mg have already been dialed back a bit. My watering volume per/24hr now shows my water use in metric. That # is based on the last 2 meals and I’m now looking at 5 days without nutes... 14th, Steady progress all the way round. Moving lights and supports as needed. Reach continues on the Right plant, while the Left continues to look amazing -molasses in next feed (Sat), TDS to be updated 15th -the volume of water my plants have been receiving, has been larger each of the last 4 feedings. Extra time between feeds has been allotted and watering based on Pot weight/dryness is keeping the plants Full and Green. -The next feed will be half the volume of the last one. The goal tomorrow (day 5 since last feed) is to immediately satisfy the plants nutritional needs with a small meal (7 litres/2), but then it’s going to scream for more food. This time I will wait only 2 days and return to the larger volume and a 4-5 day cycle. That’s the plan. Goal was to raise both the volume and demand for more nutrients. (Without creating a swamp) It’s been kind of patchwork getting the numbers-up, and this is the first pause in that steady climb. Both plants seem to be firing in all cylinders. Sun Jan17 - adding Molasses to each feeding from Week 5 on in to harvest. - 2 days since last half-feed. Big feed tonight and 5 day gap next. -Reached my Max H2o volume with solid Nutrition #’s. Plan is to hold levels for week 5/6 and then begin to taper nutes & volume slightly in 7/8 and hold till flush (11) & harvest (12/13) ** this grow is my best effort yet, if anybody sees or feels it’s getting “sideways”... Flowering Day 35 I’ve starting steering vegetatively this week which means less stress on the plants to increase bud size. Watering has been frequent with low EC. Lower VPD along with other veg crop steering techniques used. Buds getting bigger every day

Everything is now hanging and l its super terpy. Challenge will be to keep the humidity in check while keeping temps as low as possible.

6-23 Went from humidity dome to net pots. I used tap water and cal mag that I ph too low by accident, i thought I needed 5.5 but was at that for the day and top feeding, I may have put into net pots too early. I am making mistakes for sure but leanring and correcting them. I continued to try and dial in my VPD the next few days as well as temps and it took about two days. Now my temps and VPD are constant at around 1. Made some mistakes with the not calculating my ph pen and struggled with that the next two days from like 5.5-6.4 swings. 6-26 RO system came in and got it installed. Started to notice yellowing on the tips of my babies and decided I was going to flush everything and add my first dose of nutrients with the new clean water. 6-27 System flushed, nutes added, ppm 500 and ph 5.8, water temp 69, temp in tent is 79, humidity is around 67 % and are dialed in almost perfectly, its annoying dealing with this vivosun humidifier. I dont recommend, it doesnt work with inkbird, it shuts off randomly, its humidistat is highly inaccurate, but I have found a setting to make it work with another humidifier I have in the tent until my ac inifinity one arrives that I should be able to hook it up and be completely good. Ive been adjusting everything for night time right as the lights go off so i can keep my vpd around 1 at night as well, then wake up in the morning at 7am and refill my humidifiers and adjust my settings for day time. Its been working great for getting that dialed in. 6-28 Things have been going great since flushing the system and feel like they are improving and starting to grow a bit faster now! Adjusted my Ph from 6.2 back down to 5.8 and everything seems to be going a little better, at least i feel a bit better about it all. 6-29 Things have been going smoother, they seem to be loving the the nutrients and had a bit of growth quickly! PH was at 6, I'm letting it rise to at least 6.2 before I adjust it back down. Temp and humidity have been great, no issues maintaining that as of now, the little system and settings I have are working nicely. The AC infinity controller is awesome but takes a bit to figure out the right settings for where I wanted it, but going well now. 6-30 No issues, things going well. Temp and humidity in control at 78 and 65sih. Water temp 69, ppm 520, and ph 5.8. I have not had to adjust the ph the last two days, its stays between 5.8 and 6.0 typically. They seem to be doing really well to me and growing fast, but this is my first grow so not sure, but I feel decent about it.
