Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. ok guys so these are the last pics of her before harvest. after i took off the LST she just fell all over due to the weight of the buds and i use silica so these are some HEAVY buds! ok guys so for the smoke report sh seems to be a pretty balanced stone to her, im guessing 60/40-ish hybrid that i can smoke mid day and not get too tired from yet i do get relaxed toward the 2nd half of the high. i currently have another one growing now!

I had to make a few adjustments to the harvest results, i had 9 plants in total under a 1000w 4 of them were chocolate mint og the other 5 were bubbas gift. 4 plants taking up less than half the wattage and space works out at around 0.55 GPW

Aug 10: doing quite well and is still the tallest of the four plants. Manifolded to 8 colas, and she has the most sativa type leaves of the four plants. Lots of rain lately but still needed lo be watered twice today as always. Top dressing of malted barley and Gaia Power Bloom. Aug 13: don’t take flash pics unless you’re immediately using a 730 nm light as a bloom booster. The far red light puts the plant into dark mode two hours faster. I figure this far red light counteracts the flash which is good side benefi.

Last week of veg for this round, next Monday they will start 12/12 in the flower room and get stripped. Watering daily and they are growing fast and looking great, can't wait to see how flower goes for these ladies.

These girlies are really taking off. I had a slight calcium deficiency at the beginning of week 2 so I started adding some CALMAG supplement. They seem to be really enjoying the extra nitrogen too!

We picked up the cuttings for the GanjOS Lab from High4Life on December 30th and put them in our propagator for around 3 days for acclimatization.

SUMMARY: The OG has bounced back from the pH issues now after giving all watering/irrigation at a pH of 6.5. I continued with the updated GWE mid bloom nutes for the OG and Sensi Garden peak bloom nutes for the Amnesia. I also continued with some light defoliation this week removing the odd lower leaf and some fan leaves covering bud sites that I couldn't tuck. DAY 78 -------- Thursday 19/11/2020 I fed the plants. GWE 2020 updated Mid-bloom nutes for the OG and Sensi Garden Peak Flower nutes for the Amnesia. Although I only mixed these nutes and pH'd to 6.4 on Monday I always check again before and the readings had changed - I don't think my pH pen is the best (yes I keep the tip moist). I didn't have time to pH again and tbh after spending 30mins doing this the other day it can get to fuck and stay as is. OG (in) = 5L pH 6.4 OG (out) = 1.05L (21%) pH 5.7 [0.7 drop] Amnesia (in) = 4L pH 6.2 Amnesia (out) = 1.4L (35%) pH 5.9 [0.3 drop] The plants look healthy still with no signs of issues and are both a great colour so I think they're doing just fine. OG (in) = 5L pH 6.4 OG (out) = 1.1L (22%) pH 6.0 [0.4 drop] Amnesia (in) = 4L pH 6.3 Amnesia (out) = 1.25L (31%) pH 6.1 [0.2 drop] The RH has been lower the last week or so and it seems to be due to the defoliation I've been doing every time I water/irrigate (removing a few obstructing/pointless leaves). I think because its such a small space the removal of the leaves has allowed for a constant 15-20% drop and so its right where I want it now at 40-50%. DAY 84 -------- Wednesday 25/11/2020 I watered the plants with pH'd tap water as my rainwater supply has dried up a little. OG (in) = 5.5L pH 6.3 OG (out) = 1.17L (23%) pH 5.4 [0.9 drop] Amnesia (in) = 4L pH 6.3 Amnesia (out) = 1.2L (30%) pH 5.4 [0.9 drop] No idea why there is a drop in pH of 0.9 for both when there has been a steady trend of it getting closer to the input value. But its expected to vary and 0.5 either side is standard I believe. The Amnesia is taking forever to fatten up, if it ever will now at this point. I know theyre only getting 12 hours of light but this is SLOW!

8/7 Plants were still heavy this morning. Temperatures have been much milder. 70's is much better than 90's. I had to water twice a day for a while. I defoliated ahind found some heat stress ob the gmo canary on the end with some twisted leaves. Some leaves are turning purple on an event horizon and gmo. Night Temps are much cooler plus its probably a pheno thing. I defoliated everything dead yesterday. Found lacewind eggs. Saw an adult green lace wing this morning in the garden along with a couple more lady bugs. There were also some lady bug larvae so I hope the go right to town. It's getting cooler so if I'm going to poorly I need to do it. Sherb pie plant seems to he the pillars favorite. I've killed a few of them. Still need to fix supports and do a little more defoliation. I have a video too but it's too slow to upload now. Pretty happy with the grow and the harvest, the drying went well also! Each grow highlights changes for the next and this has been no different! I'll be making more training adjustments in the next runs to try and refine the vertical scrog and get to the point where it's a wall 1 bud thick! I know it will get there in the end it's just like relearning how to do a horizontal scrog! I just need to predict the way the plant will respond when the light is from the sides! Bravery and brutality during pruning I think is the key! 😂✌️💚

Another week on the Gorilla, she is forming bud, but real irregular and she seems to not fill out like she is supposed to. The plant is way smaller than her roommates too, in this case thankfully cause this will compensate a little for the loss of total weight she will cause. I had made a video but decided not to put it up, with too much strong language and questions of the integrity of the third-party seed bank in question. Remember that Expert seeds probably cant help this much, except not dealing with third parties messing up their good name. Well enough words for an so far underperforming plant. We did as much magic as we could, I think Im lucky if she yields 30 grams, lowering my total and average gram per watt score so thanks...
