only half way thru week 8, but Im going be too busy to update this over the weekend. unfortunately, the Gelato turned male, so Ive got 4 females (from orginally 8) three GG4, & one GSC. pistils are poppin everywhere, but as the true 1st week of flowering, nothing too fun to see. so far leaves look great, no ph imbalance issues like last grow.

Day 9 of flower, very overcrowded in this 4x8! All the plants will be coming out in the next day or two for a severe defoliation. Looking forward to seeing how this cultivar performs, seen good results from a friend of mine

700 ppm 5.9ph at least day 20/02 then I realize that she was hungry and start up ppm, 900 ppm and get a runoff of 850 ppm

Day 43 - Had a full water change and now running RO ( Reverse Osmosis) Water. Not topped up any nutrients yet just straight RO water as I've defoliated the girls and took off a lot of the excess foliage and sites i thought won't be getting much light. The reason for not adding nutrients straight away was because they have already had a bit of stress due to defoliation and them trying to uptake nutrients at certain temperature ranges and pH will add to it. So just RO water pH'd to about 5.7/5.8. After 12-24 hours have passed I'll add nutrients again. Smells very strong in here now and getting paranoid lol. They grow by the day and get frostier each time i open the tent. Until the next time people. Day 45 - close up bud shot of one of the girls lowers and a few colas. Girls seem to be happy with the RO water which makes me feel as though i should of been running it earlier for sure. EC has dropped, so i know the girls are feeding uptaking nutrients. 8/5 (Day 49)- The start of a new week! Last few days have been a little rough and I have unfortunately been unable to keep up the post. Dealing with a back injury so it’s been difficult just to keep up with the feedings. We are looking pretty good though and starting to feel a bit better. The last few days I’ve been slowly but surely trying to get a good defoliation in which I feel was needed very badly. Opened up a lot of place for light and airflow. Messing with the back left plant and OMG my hands got sticky quick! I leaned in for a close smell and all I can think of when I smell is candy, a very sweet smelling candy. It shocked me how sweet and yummy the smell was. All conditions for the environment are stable and kept in check. The girls are taking down 4-5 gallons a day now. Will continue to update this week. Thanks! 8/6 (Day 50)- Just monitored and checked in on everything today. Starting to feel better so not too worried about the change out in the morning. Gonna up the light and ppms a bit tomorrow then monitor very close the next few days. I think they should be good. Everything staying in check. 8/7 (Day 51)- Changed res and new fresh food for the ladies. I increased light power a little as well as PPMs. Going to monitor next few days, then when my back is 100% gonna do one last round of defoliation and trimming as well as put up the trellis net. I know it’s a bit late but the two plants on the right may need it. 8/8 (Day 52) - Just have been monitoring and refilling the res today. They are drinking 4-5 gallons a day. I also did a light light defoliation. I will be going through in the next day or so to do a bit more in depth defoliation to open up for more light and air. These girls grow and recover so fast. 8/9 (Day 53)- The two plants on the right are continuing to stretch quite a bit! The left plants seem to be short bushier plants, also im very sure I could have easily dont something to stunt them and not realize, but they seem to be pretty darn healthy. Did some defoliation, I've honestly been plucking leaves here and there everyday and focusing specifically on a plant when I feel it gets too bushy. They bounce back very quickly so that has been my method along with tying some branches down and bending here and there. 8/10 (Day 54) - Wow that back right girl is really growing. She has really been stretching the last two days. Just monitoring and adding to the res every so often. They are continuing to drink 4-5 gallons a day and all conditions stay in check. I did move one fan to get more airflow through the bottom of the canopy. I feel like I have constantly been moving things around this grow, trying to get a feel of what's best for the plants. As always, tips and recommendations appreciated!

Cantaloupe haze needed a good flush brought runoff from 2000 ppm to 1100ppm will continue to monitor.

Week 3 💚 8th - 15th of February 2021

This strain was a lot of fun to grow, Training was easy, it responded well and rolled with the punches, She was CalMag hungry as that as my only noted deficiency. She was chopped at day 69, would have been 70 but I had mothers day plans with the Ol' lady. The wet weight is everything but the bigger fan leaves (larf galore) I had so much trim. I love the smell I loved growing it, but I do not like how airy the buds turned out, I use quality LEDs and have a white widow in another journal that grew along side it under the same conditions, even the same trainings to the point where there structured extremely similarly, and the White Widow is ROCK SOLID. BUT with that being said, the trichome production was very nice, the sugar leaves will leave me with a lot of hash (half the buds were considered larf but were so sticky and covered in trichomes) and the smell is very sweet, berries and a hint of lemonaid and must. Keep in mind this is a taste after just a couple days of drying a sample bud and no cure. Overall its definitely smokable ill probably give some out but I would rather keep the airy stuff for me to smoke/process because I love it all. I am currently taking the week as a T-break so I can give everyone here a proper smoke report, including myself. Dry bud weight is only 51g BUT all the trim did get me a couple of grams, probably 3 of some incredible hash, The Hash taste like blueberry pie and a glass of lemonaid, the flower is similar but with a bit of a musky punch, the high hit me straight in the head and had me laughing at myself for getting so stoned, literally all i wanted was that pie and lemonaid that's all that I had on my mind. after a bit it mellowed out into a nice relaxing sativa feel, I wasn't nearly as full of energy but I was by no means tired either.

One of ap colas fell and bent overnight due to the weight on her stem lol. Fixed the problem by using some tape and a support beam for her. Other than that they r both starting to stink up a lil bit and are growing healthy. Completely flushed them at the beginning of the week to wash last week's nutes out for fear of rootrot. Will give them nutes for there next feeding.

In this week I pulled out a few males, see video with male parts. All plants are seeing an explosion of growth and have all recieved first topping with some plants already being topped for the second time at the point in the grow. All plants receive teas at every feeding never feeding the plants only feeding the soil

Room is almost there Flood table coating was completed this week. Took forever to cure in the colder weather, but it is looking great now. Normally I wouldnt use this stuff because it is $200 per gallon, but since Im in the industry, these expired sample cans didnt cost me a cent and provides a much more durable, reflective, cleanable and puncture resistant alternative to plastic. Im very happy with the table overall, it cost me very little to build I installed the fan and carbon filter, moves about 750 cf per minute. Its a bit loud, but its huge, so what are ya gonna do? My dutch bucket pails are slowly being collected from my local coffee shop. I need 4 - 8 more. Ive got all the hardware to set up the watering system, so I will work on that in the coming week

In my experience, mango is a bit hard to to achieve the best looking and tasty smoking buds. I had to do many extra stuff at the end, gave a lot of stress to plants. Fortunately, everything worked out so well, the stress doesn't interfere with the taste much. It smoked very good, hit heavy indica with tropical kush taste. Lastly, Within a control environment with proper knowledge, I did all of these in my whole plant cycle : LST, HST, chiropractic, stem splitting, extreme cold stress, and total darkness.
