@RyyyyzN, 1000% true if growing in soil mix or peat mix, I do heard coco has more frequently watering needed. and yea that too often make them root 'drown' and can cause root rot, I stick some bamboo chopstick down 1-2 inches if there are barely soil sticking with stick it good times to watering to me. given too much water at young stage take more time for dry out so yeah you right worrying if it at seedling stage. after 2 week and if you saw your trunk has a vertical ridges mean it out of seedling to veg stage. that when I ramp up to 1L and watering the whole surface (no runoff yet) to promote the rootzone out. more root and good light make them trunk thicker btw my diaries was experiment heavy training so I mess up at flowering stage again for round2:sweat_smile:

@kardel, Thanks for your detailed explanation, I'll follow that, I'm just worried about giving too much water too soon. But I also heard that you can't actually give too much water, only watering too often is harmful, can you confirm that from your experience?

@RyyyyzN, Oh I forgot to mention that Im still a new grower, i've struggling with too small on my first and second grow since I never watering them much. on my 3rd grow I realize that just good amount and pH water at early veg stage change it a lot. checkout my OG kush r2 or bag seed GDP(which is discarded) that I watering like I explained. you are doing great so far ! good luck on transition.

@RyyyyzN, here is my watering At germination stage I use droplet to give it water about 25ml 2 times a day After the first true leaves are fully grow out I watering with 200ml circle around the plant. And ramp up to 500ml when it grow bigger.. then so on and will given 1-1.5 liter at your plant ages After 2 week i Watering the whole surface evenly. And only watering when soil dry ahh you might know that already. My 3gallon pot getting dry after2-3day in my condition. I give my plant full saturated till run off late week3, my3gl pot take 1.8liter or2liter depends on how much it came off I aim for 10-20% from input.

@kardel, So I can give them already a full soak on the next watering?
