@Robtatro, roots in dry soil with no moisture won't thrive or survive. You want the entire pot filled with roots not just directly below . Above is correct :100:. Water out more and 100 ml in a 5 gal pot is nothing. A 16.9 oz water bottle is 500 ml. Start there

@Robtatro, can I recommend in future watering a bit further out from the stem (i.e., no wet soil at the stem base). It forces the roots to go looking more horizontally which creates more stability and a better plant structure over all. Or at least, that's the broscience I subscribe to and my plants seem to benefit from it.

@banurnerphone, I normally water the edges. And it’s on an autopot now.
