@Wurst, the pistils will imidiatley brown and retract if there is pollen present. However the calyx and pistils that come from the main stem first around the 3rd-4th node. They are the “sex pistils” they don’t bunch up to form buds. They grow first and “die” first. So if they brown early before the rest don’t worry. Hope this makes sense:v::skin-tone-2:
@Lou_Grows, Thank you!. I've been using the armor si for a little over a week now. I honestly can't tell. However, I'm also growing Basil, Cilantro and Kale to which I've added the Armor SI to as well. I saw a video where someone added it to their basil and it made a big difference in how the plant carried itself and grew. One plant had it and the other didn't. The difference was very substantial in how it held itself up. So hopefully the same for the girl. I wish I was growing a second without it so I could see the difference. The one downside is it's a strong base. It took much more acid to get the water into the proper PH level.
@Fergie,
Good luck! one day we'll have that perfect equilibrium. There's so much that can be done to avoid the use of toxic pesticides. I'm going at it with the neighbor atm from getting oily residue blown over on my side of the fence, even got me in the face and I felt sick but it could of been nerves. Imagine being so careful then some inconsiderate, ignorant person gets who knows what on you and your edible plants. I mind my business but this is war.
@Fergie,
I just realized the florablend I use is pretty much compost tea and I have to say all of my plants on the stuff seem resilient to pests compared to the rest of the garden. hmm. I'm doing my first foliar/drench application with the tea this weekend after its done bubbling away. So far so good. :ok_hand:
