@Grow_for_Happiness, Appreciate it man am glad to have saved these ones! Indoor farmer is sold out of tray2grow but seen people are able to pre order via email in the question section, will probably reach out once I got the spare cash & grab what I need, they got the fabric pots with the frame as well, was having a hard time finding both pieces in the same place !
@connormcleod47, gotta work with what you got, and your making it work well!
If your looking for autopot stuff I get mine from Indoor Farmer (online) based out of Toronto. Free shipping in Canada big bonus. I picked up three tray2grpw systems from them and almost got a 2x4 bed with it but using for rack growing greens instead
@Grow_for_Happiness, Am happy to hear you had good luck with the autopots! Still remember that Purple Urquelle from your last grow, thing was an absolute tank!! An autopot system is what I was after initially but wanted the 2x4 bed for living soil & couldn't find one online within Canada, thought wick systems would be roughly the same thing, found out the hard way they can be troublesome yes! Aerating water that is already PH'd is where I really messed up, I think this also sped up the process in regards to nutes separating & creating sediment, temps the whole 9 will throw PH left & right, godsend tech imo though for those who have central air or a controlled environment where temps aren't all over the place throughout the day, noticed a huge difference throughout veg alongside transplant! Gonna give them another shot come winter & that 2x4 bed is something I will be keeping an eye out for as well :P!
@connormcleod47, I agree, with plain water wasn't so bad but soon as you added nutes was tough to control.
I've since switched to Autopots. Picked up a used set for under 0 and I'll never go back. Have put through 5-6+ runs now and it's amazing how much better the plants grow. Very low maintenance and no power required all gravity fed valves. I'm manually watering my outdoor right now, wishing I had set up autopot spiders instead hahaha
@Grow_for_Happiness, Is quite the learning curve switching over from hand watering! Do think I want to try & get them right if I can because its similar to hydroponics/DWC which I've yet to try ! May still try & run plain water from the bottom & feed from the top once a week if I can get away with it, photoperiods I have in the 4x4 took extremely well to self watering trays while on plain water but nutes I have don't wick into the pots through the rope & that's where I ran into problems, left a ton of sediment throughout the entire wick system & PH was above 7.0 consistently, would say they are worth it if I can somehow manage to dial everything in :P
