The exact amount of light is plant-specific, as demonstrated by Bugby (but also as previously known and shown). You got consultants that reveg outdoor for folks in greenhouses or similar setups, and they can do leaf tissue analysis and iterate until they're powering little LEDs just enough. Anyway, yeah timers go out all the time. Super lame. At least you caught it!

It doesn't take much... you'll know soon enough. Speculating about it won't help much. it's a hormonal response. A molecule is produced only in the dark. When it surpasses a certain level, the plant flips to flower phase. If that hormonal balance isn't maintained you'll experience some re-vege. bugby has a fairly recent study on how much light it takes to interfere. That's the type of source to seek out for details, because just growing plants doesn't resolve such details clearly enough.

you got a long ways to go. I'd be looking into them spots on the leaves in relation to mites. check their undersides.
