A seed can last a very long time and you also said been stored so I guess been stored properly. So just soak them 12 hr then on to damp paper towel, keep in a warm/humid dark place until they show there ready to plant.

You can soak for a while using 3% hydrogen peroxide. You’d have to google how long I can’t remember. You can also use a fine grit sand paper and scuff the edges. I prefer the sand paper method, then I soak for 8 hours in RO water, then do the paper towel method. Keep in mind even if you get them to germinate, they may not grow properly. I’m like a 75-80% success rate of healthy plants with old beans.

I find the "paper towel" method the best for older seeds and plant them as soon as they split open.........do not wait until the tap root emerges if you can. Otherwise, planting them in 2 inch Rockwool cubes works well too..........keep moist but not wet. I have found scuffing seeds with fine sandpaper does not help or make any noticable difference. Squeezing them "like a pimple" will most likely kill them completely! Once planted, watering with quarter to half strength kelp extract "fertilizer" helps them to get going.
