Got some free regular Blackberry Kush seeds just to test out but only 2 of 4 popped so I dropped another like 2 or 3 days ago and it still hasn't come up yet. IS it poor genetics or am I doing something wrong? The top soil has some cinnamon on it to deter gnats. Seems to be work

I always germinate in a paper towel and they sprout within 2 days. Take a full sheet and soak it, squeeze out the majority, fold in half twice, place seed and fold over and lightly press down to make contact around the seed. Place between two small saucers, facing each other, not stacked and place where temp is in the 70"s. works every time

Its likely you or more spefictly the medium. but can't rule out the seeds fully unless you test its germination in a clean enviroment. Cinnamon is more an old wifes tale. the cinnamon its self will rot and make mold or feed fungas. It might make the grow room smell nice though. Anti fungal properties come from the oils in the plant. best to sprinkles it into the hole around the plant vs just on surface level. but should water in just fine. its not a end all cure for things. its just a small boost.

You must be doing something wrong.. Never really get failed seeds... Didn't you say you dug the seeds up and replanted them.. There's a big problem right there.. Just curious on the gnat problem just a week into a grow.. How is that possible unless it's soil dug up from the garden?, useam to be having a bit of a struggle, keep it simple stupid my dad would say..
