They’re stretching because the light is too far bro Move it closer around 20–25 cm is usually perfect for T5s. You can also lower the temperature a bit or increase airflow to make the stems stronger. Once they get a bit taller, just bury part of the stem when you transplant

in my recent MSNL diaries, you can see where i fucked up based on spacing of cotys and the first serated, single-bladed leaves. the ones where the cotys are basically originating from same spot on stem are the plants i gave too much light too soon. This is mostly cause just by the 1.5 day range of sprouts... the ones that were later sprouts didn't like the intensity and the ones that were above ground for a day or so were wanting more... may have to seperate some stuff occasionally in this forst 24-48 hours to treat them all correctly. After that it'll be consistent.

That's incorrect advice, bring the light closer those tube bulbs arnt strong enough to burn, everything's possible but you get what I mean, also when you pot up you can bury most of the stem if it gets tall and lanky.. Hope this helps. Good luck

if they keep stretching, give more... the visible sign you've gone too far is if no node spacing develops... when extreme the leaves push each other upward when all originating from a tight length of stem. it's going to be tight the first 2-4 days, but should show 'some' spacing as nodes stack up. my seedlings usually need ~full power within 24 hours... numerous times i've tried to not do it, but end up with stretchy plants, lol. So, fuck what 'they' say when the reality doesn't match. What matters most is how the plant directly in front of you is behaving. React to that, and it'll be fine. Some may be ready before others.. .again, node spacing is the guide.
