The plant shows nutrient lockout and overfertilization. pH and PPM are key to detecting this issue in cannabis. A pH outside the ideal range (6.0–6.5 in soil, 5.8–6.2 in coco/hydroponics) blocks nutrient absorption and causes buildup. High PPM levels indicate excess salts: if the runoff has higher PPM than the feeding water, the plant is overfertilized.
To fix this, perform a root flush. Water the plant thoroughly with clean, pH-balanced water, using at least three times the volume of the pot. Let the excess water drain well to remove built-up salts, and allow the substrate to dry slightly before feeding again with a lower nutrient dose.
