PS : If you're already equipped with a 600W digital ballast, you can keep it and save even more money : It is unlikely that you will need to use the 720W; your HPS600 is replaced by approximately 400W from this dimmable lamp

The 720w led will cover more space. If the hps is 1.8 umol/J efficacy and the LED is 3.0 (possible, but unlikely), then it can cover 2x as much area as 1 600w hps bulb. 1950 / 720 = 2.7umol/J ... So, it's probably ~180% more light and only 120 more watts. 1950 / 85 = About 23 sq ft of coverage that can provide upper 35-40 DLI over 12 hours. Assumes proper hanging distance and reflective walls. Looks like a pretty good price for a frame and LED ... have to attach your own driver, eh? That's easy enough to do.

hey 👋 I haven't tried it, but looking at its specs, there's no doubt about it: yes, it's well worth replacing an HPS 600! Its spectrum is much more complete than an HPS 600, which heats up to produce useless yellow light. You have much less risk of burning your plants or overheating, and in the long run, your wallet will thank you! 👌
