just add a diary- than its easier to see whats going on in future. to your question : "are all people equal in high? - the same with plants, they all differ a bit - even the same strain has dif. phenotypes , then you have near hundred of variables than can cause one to be faster than another. A few exampels : one had a bit more water, better soil consitence, more nutri near the the startroots ..ect, ect. you can imagine 1000 things. If you want to do LST - do when you feel the plant can tae it, the same with topping - just read some diaries and imagine how your plant schould look at the end - then got backwarts to your moment now. Then it is easy to plan. Like writing a per with 90 days/lines - and write now all 90 days as a plan and try to stick to it. then you can see where you standind and what comes next & when to feed ,switch the light ect. and then comes reality and you adopt the plan to it until it works. Have fun.

Go ahead and do an LST on your three plants; it will even out your future canopy! 👍

You could start some LST if you want. anything after the 3rd node is ok IMO. If they are photoperiods, some HST can also be used. I limit HST on any autos as they can be a bit sensitive and don't have a long veg period for recovery. Seeds are like brothers and sisters, they are not identical twins so some genetic variance is expected aka its phenotype.. some seeds have multiple phenotype. and or light hot spots. If the light is more intense on one plant, it can stunt its growth but I doubt that's whats happening.

shoot for 2.5-3 colas per sq ft, divide by number of plants.... now that you have an idea of how many vertical colas you want per plant, work backward from there to dictate when you LST or top the plant... take the most direct route with the least amount of wasted growth. easy-peasy... No guessing and all the choices are mostly made for you. By being disciplined and not over-crowding the canopy, you'll also save yourself a lot of work doing useless pruning and defoliation. Wasted, useless growth is a poor use of your time and resources.
