Skotomorphogenesis is the development of a seedling in the dark, characterized by an elongated stem and an apical hook, while photomorphogenesis is the development in the presence of light, which involves a shorter stem and green, opened cotyledons. For cannabis seeds, both are critical stages: skotomorphogenesis occurs underground while the seed germinates, and the plant transitions to photomorphogenesis once the seedling emerges into light to begin photosynthesis. If ppfd not high enough skoto may not stop until she reaches light she needs.

If it stretches longer then the size of your hand you should really start to worry...

It's hard to say like this for sure, 😉 but here's a simple rule: if the stem is longer than the span of your leaves, then yes. Also, look at the thickness of the stem: if it seems so fragile that it's already bending slightly, then you have your confirmation. In that case, move your lamps closer 👍

I think trutratri is saying you need to include some pictures. LOL are the stems weak or paling? then, yes... too much stretch. increase light.
