Anyone has previous experience with seedlings that had their one leave cut off from the beginning? I accidentally rip them off in two different pots by removing the seed shell. Will they develop normally or they are goner?

shit happens. as lon gas the growth tip is undamaged, it's fine. Might be a tad slower the first few days but irrelevant later on... cotys don't pull that much weight in the long-run. Seed shell removal Hold the seed (but, allows other half to be pried open) with some tweezers in a way that immobilizes the stem, too. You keep this hand as steady as possible. the plant should barely move throughout this process, if at all. Then use a toothpick or another set of tweezers etc to gently pry it open... by holding it steady, can't damage it. This ensures 100% of the force is applied to the seed shell only. You can still rip off a coty if it is stuck to the seed shell, but it should be very rare. If you feel resistence like that, may need some finer movements to release the leaf before prying seed open etc... Some nice reading glasses, even if you don't normally use them, will be very helpful too. sometimes a membrane remains - holds cotys together. Don't try to rip that apart. Slide it off. Can gently poke the toothpick or pin etc at base between leaves and slide it off the end of the leaves.

Both are effed. Start again.........they won't grow properly (if at all) and will have major delays in development if they do try to grow........., don't waste any time hoping, just cut your losses and start again. Don't try and remove seed shells, as you found out.........be patient, they will fall off by themselves. If they seem stuck, spritzing the seed shells with water every 30-45 minutes to keep them softer can help them fall off sooner, but in reality, 999/1000 will come off without any assistance.

Happened to me with a blue zushi plant! I was super worried but it turned out fine, she wasnt even slower than her sisters. You can add a humidity dome of you want to assist her :)

Ouch... The first one should be able to grow, but it might be delayed. However, the second one, without a leaf to receive light, I think it's dead... Give them a week: if the leaf turns yellow (for the first one) and if the stem turns brown (for the second one), I recommend starting over. cross your fingers 😉
