probably not too far away... might as well start scoping trichomes everyday at this point.
When calyxes are fully plump, you start watching trichomes closely. When you harvest is variable due to personal preferences. IF you don't have preferences, yet, you need to learn them. Nobody can do that for you.
you can take it at "10% amber" and maybe next cycle at "50% amber" etc.. you could take the bulk this time at a particular percent then leave a few to ripen longer or take off a few earlier etc, and that might speed up the learning process. It's as much art as science, so don't be too hard on yourself.
I'm not a fan of over-ripened. Tastes like shit to me. Preflowers (the single calyxes at base of a branch) are the oldes calyxes on the plant. when they are hollow and crunchy, that's what i mean be 'over-ripe'. tastes horrible. obviously, don't make a choice based on preflowers... just a point of reference that yo might notice at some point if you do a late-window harvest...
