twisted new growth, older fans look fine

Mid-Week 3 Veg and I've hit a weird one: the new growth at the top is curled/twisted and looks a bit "burned", while the older leaves are totally fine. From the pics: color is decent, serrations ok, issue is mostly the fresh tips-crinkly and misshapen.

Mutation? Virus? pH? only one of those is easily eliminated as a possibility. Maybe a really shitty batch of coco? but that would have been visible from start, so not that either. irrigation habits look bad. 1) fully saturate 2) wait for appropriate dryback and repeat. if choosing the volume to give, that is wrong. You give what it takes to accomplish the task. it is not a personal choice or feeling. If this is soilless, religiously get 10% runoff waste water -- fine to toss on plants outside, but not any potted plant. i.e. don't let it sit in its own piss. That runoff is essential to soilless method as it avoids buildup of nutes in medium. In soil you only get runoff if necessary or minimal runoff to ensure saturation. if fully saturating causes any problems, that is the fault of the constitution of your medium. add more perlite or similar next time. If you don't allow a proper wet-dry cycle, you'll also run into issues.

If i would need to guess, its wind damage, underwatering/overwatering and heavily overloaded grow medium with nutes. In rare cases its genetics, there are strains which grow in such pattern , aka Freakshow. Magnesium levels ( think its heavy toxicity ), watering habbits review, vpd right levels, oscillating , watering with run off and collecting it ( not letting plant to reabsorb) - and all should go well, plant will grow out. My last Candy Kush behaved similar.

Might be a root problem. Check your watering.
