first, don't listen to the rehtoric that calls for mass defoliation. leaves are important.
probably still som plumping to do on lower sites, but basically time to start scoping trichomes and simply react to what you want to see... since you don't know what you want to see, you have to learn your preference. If you want sleepy-time buds, wait for a lot of amber to show up. You can take some off early and let some ripen longer, too.. this can hasten learning process.. make sure to label them by how much amber you saw at harvest... can help you decide better next time.
