The size of the pot more or less just determines how long you have until you need to get back to it. Normally, a 5-7 gallon pot would need to be tended at least once every day or every other day. If your pot is smaller, it is not ideal, but if you have the free time and are tending to the pot more frequently, you can still pull most of the same yield, you will just need to make sure she is fed and watered more often.
