You can make a lot of strains just based on their linage, but it does not mean it will be the same one you grew to know and love. much like dogs. their personalities are going to be different. still a yorkie from Denmark but its not the same as the one you knew. Eg let says u liked some made up strain called... idk... "Puppy Piss OG", keeping with the dog theme, and its parents where Girl Scout Cookies "GSE" X OG Kush "OGK". but like their are hundreds of versions of OGK and im sure a good handful of GSC, so what ones where the parents and how many plants did they grow out to pick as the official puppy piss og. was it a special phenotype that was cloned out and bread with abother special phenotype, then spread across the land as the next best thing? If yes then it will be very hard to recreate it. You can easily cross a bunch of GSC x OGK and call it puppy piss og but it will not be the same as it was likely clone only. It how so many breeders have their own versions of popular strains. some are ok others are shit. but they are in the realm, and no oversight or regulation means anything goes. fuck you could call something OG Kush and it has none of the same markers of linage as the original one. its just the wild wild west in canna land.
