In the end, it always depends on what effect you want.
When the trichomes are cloudy/milky, they’re at their most active and give you a more uplifting, cerebral high.
When they start turning amber, the effect shifts toward a heavier, more relaxing body stone. Many growers aim for a mix of both: mostly milky with some amber trichomes, depending on preference.
Very important: always check the trichomes on the calyxes, not on the sugar leaves, because sugar leaves usually show maturity earlier and can be misleading.
