I see no reason to cut leaves off. sex organs may have some photosynthesis going on, but you want to maximize photosynthesis on the top of the leaves, not flower. Sex organs are for reproduction. Leaves are for light absorption. This is like asking your digestive system to start dealing with blood filtering. Organs have specific functions. Sugar will go where it is used. Concentration gradients form where growth occurs. Sugar flows in to those areas freely. Where sugar is produced is not relevant. for years i've been thumbing my nose at this bro-science. I purposefully shade buds with leaves above them or leave them shaded throughout the grow, lol.... They turn out fine. Similar to other buds with similar 'apical dominance' without fail. Light hitting them is not important beyond what incidentally happens. common sense applied- i.e. don't wrap them up in some opaque tarp, lol.. that would have a negative impact, but a shadow from a leaf above? Absolutely not. You have plenty of airflow and light penetration. don't create gaps canopy or make the plant re-grow more leaves.. that's a net-negative. If you got some congested areas, selectively remove a leaf or 2 as needed. Constant condensation / liquid on a leaf is a good reason to remove one. Usually a little bending can avoid it. Don't over-crowd a canopy and you don't have to worry about it. Tough to tell from side, but doesn't seem over-crowded. 3-4 colas per sq ft is all you need.

No. Flowers do not need direct light to grow, just like how fruit does not only grow on the sunny side of trees. You have done a good job lollipopping, no need to defoliate. Just remember..........less leaves = less energy production = less potential yields.

Hey bro, you’re in mid-flower and that canopy could use a little cleanup. I’d take out a few of those big fan leaves that are directly blocking light to the top buds, not a full strip, just enough to open things up. I marked a few spots in a photo and added it to my Apple Fritter diary if you wanna see what I mean. Helps with airflow too. Looking good overall, she’s got nice structure. Little more light and air, and she’ll finish strong 💪🔥
