PH issues

My Run off Ph is slowly creeping up. I water plants with 5.7-5.8 ph. But RO went from 6.2-6.4. The salts and Ppm are going down with each watering. What is going on?

If it's going up there is too many cations present medium. Why? Thats another question. Either you added them or coco is releasing them as it breaks down. Calcium, magnesium, pottasium, hydrogen, sodium ions are cations - You are using coco, did you happen to charge it prior to use? More questions than I have answers I'm afraid.

"It’s nature, not chemistry lesson…" Its a biochemical electromagnetic hydraulic organism. I take a perspective that views living organisms as complex systems governed by biochemical reactions, electromagnetic fields, and fluid dynamics, rather than solely focusing on the traditional concept of "nature". Just depends how many layers on the onion skin you want to peel back.

Hey bro, your runoff pH creeping up while PPM drops usually means your medium is getting flushed a bit, nutrients are being pulled out faster than new ones are going in, especially if watering often with low EC. If you’re using coco or peat, the buffering agents (like calcium/mag) may be depleted or unbalanced, leading to drift upward. Make sure your input pH stays consistent 5.7–5.9 is fine in coco Check EC of your runoff too. If it’s dropping fast, you might be underfeeding or overwatering. Consider a light flush and rebalance with a full-strength feed if drift continues. No panic yet, but watch for lockout signs if it keeps rising.

Hey 👋 Don’t see any issue either, looks in a good range to me. Not a friend of scientific growing… it’s nature, not chemistry lesson… To maybe give you a feedback to your original question : measure the PH of your water. Usually PH Lvl. of your water is way higher than 7… guess this should be the long term root cause. Hope this helped 🍀

DON'T WORRY ABOUT YOUR RUNOFF PH , UNLESS THERE IS A PROBLEM BUT LOWER IT TO 6.0 GOING IN UNTIL FLOWER THEN BRING IT BACK UP TO 6.2/6.4 RANGE... PK NUTES ABSORB BETTER AT SLIGHTLY HIGHER PH THAN N..GOOD LUCK
