Any advice on watering amounts and what to look out for when close to being ready to harvest would be amazing! First time grower kinda winging it. I chose the auto as I thought it would be the best to start with. Pineapple express auto seeds purchased for the next round

i would definitely listen to organoman on this one man is giving all the advice i didnt get lol i agree you will learn alot more from a photo if you mess her up you can just extend your veg cycle if you mess up a auto you might end up with a severely stunted plant like i did lol do not overwater lol a tip from me is to pick up your pots when you first water and pick them up everyday until it fills like it did before you water or close to it that will give a great estimate on how much water is in your pot and of course you can't go wrong with poking your finger in about first knuckle length high and harvesting can vary based on what effects you want do you want more of a head high then you want cloudy trichomes but if you want couchlock you want more ambers your trichomes will tell you when you are ready but if you dont have a jeweler's loupe or something like it then go off of pistols like he said that will be better than nothing for sure lol alos if you have a decent phone you may be able to take a pic zoomed in and kinda see your trichomes hope it helps gromie👍

Autos are really not for beginners, you are far better off growing normal photoperiod fems.........you will learn a lot more and they are far more forgiving of any small errors and you also get to decide when flowering occurs and only when you are satisfied with the plants development rather than autos which flower whenever they chose, whereby you run the risk of waiting 6-10 weeks fo dwarf plants to mature their flowers. In my opinion, the only advantage to autos is that you do not have to alter the light timer, otherwise autos do not offer anything above what can already be achieved with photoperiod fems. When it comes to watering, it is quite simple...........water the entire pot enough so that some water comes out of the bottom of the pot, then do not water again until the top inch and a half of the soil is completely dry again, be this one day or ten days. A quick guide as to when to harvest can easily be estimated by the condition of the flower pistils/hairs..........once there are 98-99% brown pistils, you will be entering the harvest zone.

Water when it needs it. Once they get closer to harvest they will be drinking less and less. Don't over water, but give it what it needs, if unsure. less is more, and the plant will tell you. Limp leaves and limp stems. needs water. Limp leaves and stiff stems, Over watered. Feel the pot, give it a little lift on its side and gauge it. Some users like to grow in soiless and its very hard to over water it, so don't have to thank about it. Just dump in and let it piss out. They likely will need more water with this method but easy fixed.
